Right? Nyra not only was the daugther of the King, but his only daugther. Even if the Emperor doesnt understand relationships, Nyra political value is high to the people of Westeros. People would try to rescue her just to have the King onwing a favor to them or Lucien.

Once again, The Emperor thought Viserys was a weak king on the verge of civil war.
And it lead to him making choices.
As you can see, his spymaster was lying through his teeth.
See this is why Lucien needs a spy network. The absolute amount of errors in there because people kept lying to the Emperor and weird coincidences ...
Lucien does look like The Dragon Rider of House Targaryen right now. At least in reputation. Made the City Watch be a respected and feared group. Considered a skilled knight. Skilled Administrator. One of the leaders in the War of the Stepstones. Now leader of said Stepstones.

Well....makes sense when you look at Lucien support across Westeros. The North, Vale/Arryn/Royce, lots of Crownland support, City Watch that can be seen as Lucien army in Kingslanding and now the Stepstones. Oh and the Hightower support in the Reach.
Not to mention Lucien dragon Greyghost, Rhaenyras dragon Syrax, Laenas Vhagar, Luciens Brothers three dragons and his two kids dragons. Oh along with Baela and Rhaena dragons.
You might wonder if Baelon even has a chance to win if he goes against Lucien, unless he allies with the Blackfyres and they pop like 5 kids each.
Well Baelon has Vermithor. That's pretty big deal. Also got to consider the kids from Viserys new marriage. Could be supports to Baelon right there.
Then there is the possibility of Daemon pushing his claim....Which can mean Baela and Rhaena support their dad instead.....Talia's son with Daemon can improve Daemons image.
Not even considering Aegor Blackfrye and his siblings along with The Velaryons in Laenor and Rhaenys. One can hope the Velaryons go along with Laena but...Laenor can be argued to have a stronger claim than everyone.
Guys, I will make my case: Let's save Daemon and our Dad. Because right now, they are the most in danger and I really, REALLY don't want to lose either of them. Please.
Magoose said that Selina is current sterile so its a bit of maybe in there.
Bit of doubtful how a bastard could help someone image, specialy if its with a foreign women. Also if the Twins learn that Daemon raped a women...
The three of them, since Visanya is with Valaar right now. So if things go South with the dice, Daemon Yi-Ti invasion might kill them both.

Dad somehow managed to get 40 ships out in the ordeal of YI Pirates who think he's a mythical pirate king.
Also you bet your ass that he stole everything that wasn't nailed down, he has to justify his absence from the court with type of profit.
If he has to, he will blokade the not Yangtze. But right now he has every right to run away.
Rumors travel and get distorted.
Also everyone knows Daemon is his best agent, just not his most reliable one.

Pretty much this. Then there is the possibility of Daemon forcing a marriage to have the kid be legit. Heck could ask Viserys to legitimize Damian and if not that? Daemon could do it himself if he tries pushing his claim once Viserys is dead.

More seriously Daemon could marry Talia....be very messed up but not impossible especially if her dad makes her. Would anger certain people Daemon cares for but that hasn't stopped him before.

Well, that is pretty neat, I hope that after the Crown gets his cut we will have enough to re invest in the Stepstones...
And Silk sheets and nightgowns for all the family...
Or we tie Daemon tightly, hand him to Valarr so that he can drop him in King's Landing, while we stay back and we can travel to Volantis to meet with Gael...
That way we made an extremely time efficient family adventure.
