Let's continue to move decisively against the gems in the north, win some brownie points with the governments and get our hands on some goodies. Corporate competition and candy stock exchange aren't flashy or exciting but seem very important, we should get those done as soon as possible. Aliens is, admittedly, a bit of a longshot without a hero but it doesn't declare a shadow war on a rival- we should avoid opening more than one front if we can help it. Hank's learning honestly isn't terrible, although I would be willing to shuffle heroes around if needed.

If I'm being honest I think we should lay off the gems for a bit and get our house in order. Like cutting the lawn for example, get rid of the giant monsters roaming about and such. The DC steadily going up is somewhat worrying.
Secondly since the border is being beefed up the DC will be harsher and other kings will probably look into them due to their increasing presence.

Secondly its better to keep the things we in our wheelhouse as ours alone. It'd be terrible if someone found the queen tie or started drilling for coffee.

Maybe we ought to try and sabotage one of our competitors given that there are so many potential actions devoted to the subject? It could be a useful in to try and take one over later.

Yeah, I think Izzy works better than Toiletnator if we want to focus on the finishing the Gem campaign before they can turtle even harder and get some sweet loot that should be really helpful without pissing anyone off besides the Gems who firstly we've already attacked and secondly can't tell humans apart yet anyways.

Plus, the logic of not opening a 2nd front this early makes sense, so delaying the Chris stuff for some more internal support is also good.

I'll be voting for this.

God, a lot of good options here

I think we should leave the gems for now since they are just turtling, take advantage of the lull in the war to grab some martials that can be useful for building up rather than pure aggression. As a compromise we could look into them with our intrigue action

I know that its tempting to double down on government actions, but Katz is one of the kings thats unlikely to directly oppose us, so contacting Fizz to get a connection going might be better

For learning I think going for gem tech is best, second best being 2x4, because it lets us avoid early rivalries that will eat into our action economy with mandy or mandark

The book of KND is an easy in.

My logic for assigning hank to Mr. Fizz is that Propane = Oil = drilling for oil = drilling for soda, And he's decent at diplomacy

My reasoning for assigning toilet to investigating gems:

[ ]Plan - Operation B.B.E.G - Building Bridges and Examining Gems
-[ ] Train Ice-Cream Men
--[ ] Assign Izzy
-[ ] Locate Mr. Fizz
--[ ] Assign Hank
-[ ] Develop Luxury housing for Employees
-[ ] Look into Aliens
--[ ] Assign Toiletnator
-[ ] Research Gem Technology
-[ ] Research the Book of K.N.D.
-[ ] Personals
--[ ] Call the Moonbase
--[ ] Visit Spankulot in Prison
--[ ] Go Selling
--[ ] Look for Friends!
--[ ] Create Podcast
-[ ]Recruit Heroes
--[ ] Hex

If you are liking the plan but have an issue or two, tell me and I might change it up

I think if you're already assigning Izzy to the martial action, might as well have the martial action be to continue the Gem Fighting before the DC goes up even higher.
The issue with rushing down the gems being a necessity is that we are uniquely capable of just bumping up our rage and being able to shatter their upgraded defenses. And with the look into the gems action, well be able to likely lower all gem action difficulty if we pass. So I consider building up a bit more in general to be a better idea.

Edit: also, imagine the terrifying might of ice cream men trained by izzy to unleash their limiters and go ape shit. So much brain freeze

Notes:
So this changes a few things from Made-in-Heaven's plan. First, I would really love to buy a News Network and start marshaling in a bit on dealing with Total Drama. Toilenator sadly doesn't have anything better to do, so he'll stay under Stewardship. I'm curious on what our available options are.
I'm also swapping Orpheus with Hex, mainly because I think he might fit our villainous vibe better. And also because I actually know him.
Izzy with a Podcast will be absolutely hilarious and chaotic, and I am all for it!

OH FUCK

I JUST NOTICED

CHRISTMAS IS COMING

We Abso fucking lootly need to do some general protective martial actions and contact spankulot. Those are the only ways well be able to batten down the hatches in case of Christmas catastrophe

[] Plan Names Are Hard
-[]Cut the Lawn - Martial
-[] Toiletnator
-[]Reach Out to Corporate Competition - Diplo
-[] Hank
-[]Implement Cand Stock Exchange
-[]Sabotage Mr. Boss Recruitment - Intrigue
-[] Izzy
-[]Research Gem Technology - Learning
-[]Research the Book of K.N.D. - Occult
-[] Call the Moonbase
-[] Persuade Stickybeard to stay
-[] Recruit Dr. Orpheus
-[] Go Selling
-[] Deal with Numbuh 13
-[] Create Podcast

I'm sure the giant monster was sent after us, but the DC on our Lawn Cleaning is going up and that is worrying. Let's get our house in order before we commit to going to war with the frozen north. I'm sure the other point of contention will be on the Intrigue action, but Mr. Boss is probably gonna be one of the best Diplo units out there, except when it comes to kids of course.

On giving it more thought, this one is better

I feel this should help us out with a few things, gets us in contact with folks and give us some means of preparation for Christmas time, just going into stuff that gets us meeting folks and preparing to keep us afloat should we get hit bad.

Edit: looking at what i had originally, changing it to get more things that can give us advantage for Christmas, mostly things that could make a reasonable difference

We can't recruit hex and take 4 personals sadly.

I'm advocating for Orpheus over Hex for a couple reasons. While Orpheus does have heroic tendencies, he's hardly a bleeding heart. The line Dr. Venture crossed that got to him was using parts of forsaken orphans in his machines, and his reaction was more 'dude, what the fuck?' rather than 'I'm never talking to you again'. In comparison, most of the things we do would most likely result in mild consternation instead of absolute outrage or stabbing us in the back. Something we need to keep an eye on, perhaps, but not micromanage.

Dr. Orpheus is a foil for a terrible, terrible father. He's got some problems of his own, but he legitimately loves his daughter and wants the best from her. We could have a lot to learn from him from a narrative standpoint.

And finally, I think Orpheus is fucking hilarious and I'd much rather read about his reactions to things than Hex's.

Plus side to Orpheus: He dabbles in necromancy, so he might have some know how on how to defend ourselves if the bad Santa's win and Vampire Santa is chosen.

As such, I swapped to orpheus over hex

this is fair, but i would ask which you think is stronger with magic, that's my main concern right now, getting someone beefy with magic to help us with both other things and more importantly Christmas.

Hex's highs are higher but I think it's pretty probable Charmcaster has run off with most of his mojo. Orpheus is a lot more reliable in terms of how much magic he has at his disposal. He's also fairly well connected to at least one otherworld. He's basically a Dr. Strange expy.

Orpheus actually has experience with undead, so he should be able to counteract his weaker offensive magic with know how.

A valid point

And another one, i am convinced, i shall go with the good Doctor

I would rather just, not go down the tech tree's of our potential competitors? I know I shouldn't compare too much, but Doofquest showed how bad an Idea stretching yourself thin trying to compete with multiple people can be. If we avoid stepping on other peoples toes early on we can focus in on upgrading our own capabilities while observing the developing rivalries and pick a side later on without possibly alienating ourselves from potential allies

Well, I suppose as the one proposing the nearly-similar-plan-but-Hex, I should throw out some words to prop up my choice of recruitment too.

Hex is from that ever classic show known as Ben 10, and is a more familiar face all things considered. Of course, that alone isn't enough to move to recruit him. So what about his power levels? Well, his 'Master Magician' motif isn't just for how. Hex is an incredibly talented spellcaster, and an absolute beast in a fight. Of course most of his mojo comes from his artifacts, and we can't say for sure whether Charmcaster has the lot of them or not. But he's still a veritable encyclopedia of mystic arts, and a well-respected villain to boot.

What about his character? Well that depends on where the timeline is at for his personal development. At the start, he is a terrible father (another thing for Father to relate to him haha), but he does care a lot about his niece Charmcaster. This brings out a lot of potential for character growth, and the best Hero units are always the ones that get to experience growth. At the end, he has reconciled with his niece and is a highly-respected teacher. I doubt this is actually what we're getting, but it does depict the potential end goal for Hex's character. Not to mention an easy 'in' with Chamcaster herself, who is a King here.

So.... yeah! If you want some Hex, then feel free to vote :D
