Does it apply if we're on the ground, or are all the options placing us indepent of the troop commands?
I literally asked if it applies to any of the options.
EDIT:
Sorry, misunderstood you. I just think that its less about us being in position of command and more that it doesn't really apply to this situation at all.

For the record, as we are about to (hopefully) face a Chaos worshipper with certain mutations, I would like to point out that skeletons have neither noses nor eyes and are therefore immune to the supernatural allures that Slaanesh bestowed on our quarry.

[X] With the Tunnel Brigade
[X] With the Longshanks

I am not convinced that Mathilde is fast enough to catch up to a heavily blessed follower of the Chaos God of Zoom, so would rather be near the action and hope we run into him the regular way.

It will not apply here, period.
Could we get away with declaring emergency powers if "unspecified forces of darkness" set the city on fire and assassinated the elector count and his whole council? :V:V

The fog of war tactical bonus seems overall more suited to someone that doesn't do the whole morality thing and wouldn't mind setting a city on fire if they thought they could navigate the flames better than their enemy. Catherine Foundling from Practical Guide to Evil.

That... Actually tracks pretty well, considering we got it after the Sylvania campaign where we levelled every relevant building in Drakenhoff with artillery. Which beat the second most popular option of going full Season 8 Daeneris on the city.

You're tempted, oh so tempted, to let Asarnil do what he and his partner do best and turn the entire town to ash. But good sense prevails.
Not really the same thing I know, but it's easy to imagine a bit of that ruthlessness bleeding into Mathilde's lesson of the whole ordeal.

[X] With the Tunnel Brigade

I think that this is the most likely way he will go, assuming he is Slaaneshi, and this would be Mathilde's best combat environment since her style gets bonuses in tunnels.

If Mathilde stays with the Hunter Lord, Alberich can escape. He can slip by the mundane guards, using Slaanesh hypnosis or Ulgu magic.

But if Mathilde is waiting for him at one exit, and Regimand at the other, the trap is tight.

[] With the Tunnel Brigade

(Edit: WoQM and others say, nah, too many entrances, Mathilde can't watch them all without mundane help.)

In light of the additional clarification that has been given since I voted, I am changing my vote.

[X] With the Tunnel Brigade
[X] With the Longshanks

If Tunnel Brigade wins (still a bit of a long shot), let's hope that wizard dad does not die on us if this guy decides to make the smart play and go for the hunter's lodge.
