Sorry just thought of an additional follow-up, would she have already make a name for herself as a reputable/highly ranked wizard at that time? I.e. Dark lady of Nuln or LM
Plenty have pointed at this as super cute. Put I wanna point out that this is the largest bonus we've ever seen (I'm waiting on the inevitable correction here). And also ten times more than the malus of AP hell. And it's not even particularly life or death. Magic dad just wants to spend some time with his magic daughter and do magic family stuff. Like investigate murderous cults.
If there was a bigger bonus than that, then we were not privy to it. Boney does not give bonuses that big. Even venturing into other quests you'll find it hard to find +100 on a roll. I remember Rhunrikki Strollar had a few, but those were from Thungni and the Ancestor Gods, which is where I would expect +100s to be thrown around.Put I wanna point out that this is the largest bonus we've ever seen (I'm waiting on the inevitable correction here).
That said, if our investigation has us finding a situation where having a LM Light wizard is going to be very useful, and we know we have a bit of time before the excretion impacts the propeller, it may be worthwhile to ride down and pick up someone from Altdoft. And if it is, I'd want to renegotiate while we are there.I agree, I don't feel the need to renegotiate with Mira. Would rather use the time on something directly useful to cracking the case in the limited time we have.
At which point we would tell him 'ah sorry you must be mistaken, your sight must be going in your old age'. He would have no proof, his word against ours and we have the means to lie perfectly is pressed before Dragonas or something
Yes. How could having a Magister Patriarch view us as a personal enemy possibly be an issue for us if he can't go running to daddy. Even a former Magister Patriarch (as Alric will hopefully soon be) is going to have a lot of personal power and connections left to him, and I don't trust someone as seemingly petty in his gloryhounding as Alric to not view spite and vengeance as a valid motive for fuckery.Mathilde can just reply with 'Yeah, that sounds like something I'd do' and leave it at that.
Alric isn't in our Order and Mathilde isn't a Journsywoman or even a regular Magister.
As an LM she can investigate freely and the only people who can order her around are Algard, Dragomas and Luitpold.
We are mindholing them.To be honest I am kind of dubious about interrogating the people on the hunting lodge, not because I think they are any risk mind, but just because if any of them knew anything big they would have tried to leverage it to get protection from Alric and... as bad as he might be I do not see him refusing it in that case.
There is also the odd chance that the daemon has contacts at the hunting lodge, like among the servants which would allow it to know there is a new player in the game. A hunting lodge after all is in the middle of nowhere so we could not count on the coin for extraction.
Actually, wait... are we about to show off the Night Prowler to Regimand? Not that I am against it mind but I am sure it will raise some eyebrows.
