I don't think we'd need knight's in kestrellia so soon after the war. Not exactly a priority atm unless were prepping to go to war with the yeti's.
Also why the Emerald Isle instead of Olenia? They seem a bit more concerning if we want peaceful relations all around.

I mean, at least with my plan, I just want to FINALLY finish the Knightly orders off before we get backed up in Martial actions (that All need to be done RIGHT NOW) again, and the point of Emerald Isles is to get another income stream going so we have More money to Do Things with. Olenia can wait a turn, I think.

Cost: 7500

I am emphasizing Flying Fortresses for their mobility we just Doubled the guard, so we should be fine and we incurred no losses. We are fine for troops for now, but if there's one thing the war showed us is that mobility and distance are our enemies, where our rails can't go we slow to a crawl. This goes synergistically with the Commercial Airships, the MORE we dominate by Air the better as it allows us to deploy and move faster, also trade benefits. Airships (well MLP Airships not our world airships) mean we don't have to choose land or sea. An Airship can just as easily go to Neighpon, as it can to Haydeaux.

I still believe firming up our defensive pacts with Yakyakistan after Iron Steppe is needed, and we need to resolve Maretonia sooner rather than later. At present it is a cease fire and we need to lock down a treaty. One Maretonia, Two Maretonias, Protectorate or no... We need to settle that question before we can do other things. While I understand the desire for Libertalia or more oceanic travel I think it's more reactionary. Libertalia will still be there next turn and still willing to ally. I'm more worried about the dangers on the continent than the dangers on the ocean so the more defense partners on the continent the better. Let's not leave things half finished, and just FINISH them now.

Mmm that doesn't sound right to me. You can't just drag the leader's of their respective faction's into a meeting for the future of the nation while we are simultaneously taking a bite out of a big chunk of it off and expect peaceful coexistence.
Leaving things half done is one thing but that seem's like a recipe for tensions to flare if we take them both at the same time. Granted if that's what we'd want that's all fine and good but Maretonia is gonna be in turmoil for a long time. It's not gonna get resolved in a year.

Just FYI, voting for just the plan is an empty vote without there being a template vote as well.
It actually will assume you are voting for the whole thing if the person who first votes for the plan subordinates the rest of the plan to the plan name using dashes. That said, as no one has actually voted for the plan in full yet, you are correct that it will appear as just an empty vote.

Total Cost: 7000

[X] Plan: Flying High Into The Sunrise
-[x] Flying Fortresses: With the development of a final design for a military airship now complete, you can finally begin to fulfill the once impossible dream of an airborne navy. It will require a great deal of work, time and funds to create the manufacturing and support facilities, as well as train an entirely new breed of sky sailor, but once completed your military will possess an edge no other nation in the world can match. Cost: 1500 Time: Two Years. Reward: First Squadron of Military Airships
-[x] Security Runes: Cost: 1500. Time: Two Years. Reward: Strategic Fortifications reinforced with Anti-Scrying and Teleportation Runes.
-[x] The Iron Steppe: Cost: 1500. Time: Three Years. Reward: Yak-Storm Border Fortified, Improved YakYakistani Relations. Will Finish This Year
-[x] Post-War Summit: Cost: 300. Time: One Year. Reward: Maretonian Summit Interlude.

-
[x] Griffonstone Revitalization, Part 1: Cost: 3000. Time: Two Years. Reward: First Stage of Griffonstone Revitalization.
-[x] Airships-Commercial Refinement: The prototype Airship has proven itself a resounding success, and your engineers have learned a wealth of new information as they observe its performance. The test flights have generated quite a bit of attention as well, from both the common people and from the rich and influential. You've already had several nobles and business magnates inquire as to how or when they can get their talons on a sky ship of their own. As a former merchant, it's not hard for you to imagine the numerous commercial applications for the new technology. But Archimedes and Genevieve still think the design can be improved, turning the current testbed into a dedicated airborne cargo hauler. Have them prioritize that avenue of research. Cost: 1000. Time: One Year. Reward: Designs for Commercial Airships. New Options Unlocked.
-[x] Bio-magical Samples: Cost: 200. Time: One Year. Reward: Possible Applications of Ursa blood and Dragon Remains.
-[x] Amenable Abolitionists: Cost: 400. Time: One Year. Reward: Additional support for Successionist Faction of the Abolitionists. Chance of Success: 65%

-[x] The Land of the Rising Sun: Cost: 300. Time: One Year. Reward: Gwyndlyn visits Neighpon. Potential for rewards and other developments.
-[x] The Prince and the Lady: It is obvious, to you and everyone else who sees the two of them together, that Gawain and Isabelle are desperately in love with each other. Though they've kept their relationship discrete (more for the sake of privacy on their dates than any desire to keep their love for each other hidden), at this point half the people in Gryphus Peak know about their nocturnal flights and romantic dinners in the subterranean dog town. It's gotten to the point where the palace staff have started placing bets on when the Prince will finally propose. Judging by his recent visit to a jewelers, it won't be much longer. Cost: 0. Time: One Year. Reward: Gawain asks Isabelle a Very Important Question. (Does not cost an action. Cannot be chosen in the same turn as Gotta get with my Friends)

Seems kinda odd to do the post war summit while simultaneous trying to get the Abolitionists to break off from Maretonia to join us. Is there some game plan I'm not getting here?

So, I'm confused, what do people want here? Do they want Maretonia protectorate in full or not? 'Cause helping the separatist Abolitionists will make that goal harder, as per word of God.
Problem is, the WOG isn't in the actual option and many will likely just skim for the plans with the only Abolitionist option available, since there is nothing else we can do regarding before the negotiations...

Edit: not that the logic behind the option causing it less likely to work out as a whole makes that much sense to me.

I mean, people could just not take the Abolitionist option. It is pretty clear in the wording that they want to break away from Maretonia and the option is to get the rest of the faction on board. So for all the people who want to Protectorate Maretonia, it is a counterproductive option to take.

I of course, don't want either scenario, so I'm never picked them.

the issue is that I believe people think the option actually makes it easier to protectorate the whole thing, as well.

Way I understand it the Summit is getting all 3 leaders together, likely at year's end, to discuss the fate of Maretonia. Nothing more, it'll lead to another vote I'm sure after everyone has said their piece.

Meanwhile before that Summit, the Intrigue option is to spread Imperial support among the Abolotionists, the largest faction.
Thus at the Summit Ambrosia will be more likely to agree to become a Protectorate as her people want, Copper Top is almost sure to side with Ambrosia if pushed, leaving only the Royal Guard to convince. Likely based on how we want them to govern themselves, either reinstating a new Queen under us, or a council of the three of them.

This is more or less how I think this goes.

It explicitly doesn't work like that.
It is simply a question of whether you would prefer an almost guaranteed Protectorate or Annexation of Northern Maretonia, or whether you would like to take a gamble and try to exert control over the entirety of Maretonia by letting the Abolitionists stay within it.
The secessionists are people who wish to create a separate state that is independent or a protectorate, not a full Maretonian Protectorate, and the Summit is to finalize the fate of Maretonia, not to set the stage for another meeting later on.
