Rocks fall Gotrek dies.
Why not? Our personal contributions are undiminished. Or were you meaning to get Gotrek to make one personally?Might be rubbing salt in the wound but losing one of the wagons means we won't be getting a kickflip pistol now.
I hate that I laughed.
So, I was just wondering Boney- this was prior to the ascent? Or would this be between here and the Dolgan?
Omegahugger has been suggesting Necromancy as the solution for every problem ever since Abelhelm died.but wow quite a few people are talking about necromancy here and that seems way out of character.
I mean, if it comes to it, I would eat the chicken-cats first.Ahhh, what a mess.
Well, like everyone says, they're only a week away,. Wear and tear on the machines shouldn't be too bad now that they're moving out into the plains for the final stretch.
They can still buy food from the nomads, and if that goes bad, then between the Knights and the Dragons they can probably raid enough livestock that no one needs to eat the huskies.
[X] Press on
There is a very small faction, led mostly by Omega_Hugger, that constantly memes about necromancy. As far as i saw, they are not really serious, and mostly meme it because they know it can't succeed. So I am not nearly as invested as everyone else seems to be in Gotrek but wow quite a few people are talking about necromancy here and that seems way out of character. If Mathilda didn't use necrmancy at her lowest moment after the Count died why would she do that here and now when it would do nothing but have terrible repercussions for her. Necromancy also doesn't even seem like it has any real positive upsides since no one would be onboard with raising the dead and I can hardly imagine how pissed off the dawi would be at it.
Well if there's one thing we know about Gotrek the Slayer, its that he has an incredible ability to survive anything (much to his despair). Like, he's still knocking about after the literal apocalypse. Gotrrk the Engineer isn't an incredible warrior with a divine axe yet, but I'm going to hold out hope til we've seen the body. She didn't find it. Unknown whether it's one of the unrecognizable bodies or if it fell elsewhere.
Some are definitely serious. Ninjafish, for example, has been extolling the virtues of vampirism and necromancy in multiple quests for multiple years. As far as i saw, they are not really serious, and mostly meme it because they know it can't succeed.
We could take a different route back if we wanted. That means foraging the same barren land twice over, as I think we'd need to be foraging constantly with our two-week-max reserves. Nomads would relocate their herds, might we possibly depopulate local huntable animals?
With this in mind, I'm inclined to carry on. If everybody involved knew there was a major chance of death when signing up, I don't think an increase in risk is a good enough reason to turn back. Even with a loss as painful as this is (on multiple levels), we're able to carry on and still theoretically have a good chance of success barring further major catastrophe. So I think that's what we need to do.This Expedition had three total survivors in canon. Everyone knew what they were getting into.
the top of the Orre Kingdoms get hit ( and the tribes that live there) if we keep following the high road.If you mean Ogre Kingdoms, wrong mountain range. If you mean something else, I don't know what you mean.
Oh okay i will be honest I pretty much binge read through the threadmarks and only caught up around the start of the expedition at Kislev so I definetly did not read all the comment between threadmarks.Omegahugger has been suggesting Necromancy as the solution for every problem ever since Abelhelm died.
80% of the trip there, 40% of the whole journey.Well we are already pretty close to the end goal here i am not sure how bad other events could be but it seema like we would be giving up after traveling 80% of the way to the hold
Omega is completely serious, but uses a humorous presentation to make the arguments for necromancy endearing to what would otherwise be a hostile audience. There is a very small faction, led mostly by Omega_Hugger, that constantly memes about necromancy. As far as i saw, they are not really serious, and mostly meme it because they know it can't succeed.

I'm just pointing out that if food storage is a problem, continuing on the path to Cathy in the huntable area might be an idea. at least until we get to a campsite. (if traders still take this route then there must be a tribe that trades instead of eating them (most of the time) on the road.
now, I'm not saying this is a good idea, just that it is an option if the desert is too long without some pack animals to take some of the way.
I must say that it was rather overshadowed by the fact that we learn that a cult of warriors riding giant wolves might end up in charge of a place called Mad Dog Pass. The rest of the chapter was rather understandably completely overshadowed by what happened at the end, but I did want to mention, Boney- this is hilarious.
IMO it would be artificial. Sometimes accidents don't foreshadow, they just happen. It was sudden in-universe, so it makes sense for it to be sudden in the text.
