Instead of engineering specific bonuses to learning Id say its engineering traits and skills that we dont have. Still our learning gives us enough knowledge of basic principles that we can at least somewhat follow what a specialist does. That does not mean we could do it ourselves, just that we can follow along and comprehend (and spot really glaring or basic errors). Sort of like a natural scientists and/or engineers that got deep enough into their degrees talking to each other. None of them has applicable expertise, but all of them got good enough grounding and enough comprehension of basic principles to follow along and somewhat comprehend the others work.
If we were at home we likely could. Our engineering library is extensive.

Do Max, Johann or Hubert have any choice comments in private about this, given that they know about her shenanigans by now and that we probably won't get to see those in social actions next turn?
Max: "She does this. Don't ask, any answers you get will be either unhelpful or worrying."
Johann: "No gas mask? Good, looks like she didn't kick off an all-out war or wipe out a Waaagh."
Hubert: "She's a Grey. What do you expect?"
They know better by now. It would just encourage her to new heights of smugness.
Ah, but they can be smug right along with her, since she's their boss. 😼

Regarding the wealth windfall, I wouldn't be surprised if Mathilde does make a report on "what I did on my field trip", to turn in to the "stay-at-home" group, and note "Looted Warlord's safe, money inside went to pay back costs of procuring items B and C."

I've been convinced that scouting is important here. This is what we're here for, time to really start showing these dwarves why we're Belegar's MVP and why allocating us and our minions team to the Expedition was the greatest thing he could do to help. Between the kind of 'scouting' Mathilde is uniquely capable doing to her enemies and the Rite of Way spell she can make a big contribution at this point.

Investigating the Windfall is important as well, as getting clues on how it naturally happens might make it easier/safer to manually pull down Ulgu when we need it (such as when casting the Rite of Way spell).

On selfish grounds, I'm interested in having a chat with Deathfang about our recent purchases, and about dragon ogres, as has been suggested.

Went Knight commanders because this might be the last chance to talk before they move into extreme danger for the sprint into hell, and it's a good time for it now that she just came back with the supplies for them.

Magicking up a smooth road seems important because the engineer was warning that he isn't confident on how well the tanks will hold up on this much rougher mountain road.

The Windfall seems like the one thing that could definitely be poked at on the way back, but it sounds fun and it lets her keep an eye on the light wizards while they're away from the group.

I wonder if the reason that the Windfall happens over mountains is because 'stone is an excellent insulator of magic'...

When I said "Eingeenering bonus" I meant the sum total he gets from traits, skills, books(?) and other when eingeenering, just like we technically have better base martial than Belegar, but he can whip an insane bonus drawing from all those under the right circumstances (technically, so can we, but that kind of field of expertise showing how bases aren't everything for calculating score is what I am talking about)

13-13-13 gets you in, because the way to change the code had been lost with Qrech's predecessor when he was entombed alive in this very safe.
This is the analog Skaven version of making your password "password."

Was it another Skaven friend? :V
