We can either resurrect her or have Wylla turn her into an independent, Soulforged undead, but she's definitely not staying in Jons head after this.

Probably not. And I don't see the point in mentioning it... do we want to talk about Robert's indiscretions with one of Rhaegar's?

Who knows, she might decide that all men are shit and stay away from them. With that she will stay away from roughly half of the population.

Then we just need her to decide the rest of the people are shit too, and save humanity from herself.

*chuckles* I mean she's a shithead to us, but only because of extenuating circumstances... and she made extremely poor decisions, but she was a teenage girl. And she's extremely judgemental of us for things we didn't have anything to do with...

Okay, maybe Lyanna would do better in a sanitarium.

It would do wonders for the mental health of everyone else.

I don't care about the specifics to be honest.

I wanted her out since we learned she's in there in the first place and now all the political arguments against that are null and void. So out she goes.
Is that really our call to make? We can offer alternatives, but I'd imagine the final decision would be between Ned, Jon and Lyanna.

Lyanna has no particular right to burden her son with her mental issues, or to smother him by being present 24/7 in his head.

So, no. The undead teenage girl that plunged an entire continent into war with her bad decisions and her young son don't get a say in this matter. Maybe Ned gets to have an opinion here. As long as it's the right one.

I really doubt Ned will want Lyannas ghost in his nephews head. He might ask us to ressurect her but leaving her as a creepy specter in her sons head is really weird and kind of disturbing.

Owing more to the fact that everything about the situation is at least somewhat disturbing, off-putting and unpleasant to deal with, no matter what decisions are made.

Lyanna was lucky that 1) the Winter assassin didn't have power/the time to control her and 2) Winterfell's wards didn't permakill her. Especially the former. I do not want to know what the Others can do with the angry earthbound spirit of a Stark.

I would like to see what that does to Jon's powers. However, if push comes to shove we can equivalent exchange with a spirit from the Old Gods variety that doesn't hate our family guts...and is a renowned warrior. Maybe Jon can get a great Stark Ancestor like Theon Stark.

My old theory about what would happen is it would default to the next closest school according to bloodline, since his current magic is resultant from his Winter-blood from the Stark side of his family tree, sorta kinda like Brandon Greyshield.

So he'll just become a regular Sorcerer, like Viserys.

Though his class is definitly the halfway-point between Spiritualist and Dread Necromancer.
With Lyanna (the Spiritualst-part) removed, but the influence of constant contact with an undead for his magic-formative years remaining he could easily become a Dread Necromancer.

Painfully limiting...

We should enroll him into SDs Scholarium, where he can then become friends with Ramsay.
