2nd tenet wasn't included in this update either. Quite sure A Journeys End won
Gah! Fixed that. You know, you spotted so many mistakes that I feel you deserve some reward. Enjoy the +5 to any roll of your choosing.

On that note, I have been thinking about giving those that make an Omake the choice between three fluff/information pieces about Calynth. Mainly things you will (most likely) never see; what is everyone's thought on that?

If you want, Profectus, you can choose now for one such piece of information.

[ ] The Underpire
[ ] The Micro-Wars
[ ] Eversun At Sea

And A Journeys End is not the second Tenet; it is a Rite (Basically the same as a Tenet, but not really). It gives you boni and fleshes out the faith of the Pilgrims, but a Tenet is much stronger. It unlocks specific options immediately and empowers them at the same time. You get to vote on them after having 750 and 2000 Followers for the second and third Tenet, respectively.

What Tenets you get to choose from depends on what you did while getting the required people.

Ghost In The Shell
We Rise, United
Deeds, Not Words
Undaunted We Figth

So I take it, that this means a miscarriage?
You will find out in three turns.
Nooooooooooooooo whhhhhhhyyyyyyyy
The Dice Gods have not been appeased.
I hope that just means no twins, triplets, etc.

An average, if a bit difficult, birth. (Remembers how painful it is described as even with modern day medicine) Uh...
You will find out in three turns.

They won't change the outcome of the roll.
Oh I know, this just reminded me about how important it is to have good medical facilities and tools. Life expectancy is affected by infant mortality rates more than anything else, the importance of sterile tools and proper hygiene practices is only eclipsed by clean water and adequate nutrition. (This is of course, not accounting for malpractice.)

That one.

Tentative plan, will change depending on QM's answers.

[X] Eversun At Sea
When people talk about the Eversun, they often talk about the fanatics, the repression, the horrible blighted swamps they live in, and the disregard for human life. What many don't talk about is that the Eversun is a seafaring nation, the most prominent one to be precise. Seeing as most other nations are landlocked and those that are not are either city-states or extremly disinterested in the sea, it is not a difficult claim to make.

And while the ships and crews of the Eversun face storms, monsters, hostile and unreliable currents, they have nevertheless accomplished feats of much renown; the circumnavigation of Calynth, the mapping of the coast of Nidhog (even though they did not dare to sail near the Wastes of the north-pole), Calynths only continent, and the founding of dozens of colonies across multiple archipelagos. The feats of the Eversun navy are many, and they are a source of pride for the citizens of that land.

But as their fame is known, so is their infamy. They are responsible for at least two active, and one passive genocide on the natives of the islands they have colonised. Most of their crews are conscripts, often chained to their posts to prohibit any attempts at a mutiny while on the high-seas, and any vessels not flying their colors are hunted and plundered relentlessly.

It is a navy that mirrors its nation, in deeds and in reputation.

If we do start the Catalog everything I feel that we should spend a few artifacts on it. Just to make sure it doesn't take more turns than it must.

What kind of things are needed to harm/kill Mythical entities? Do they only take damage from certain types of weapons or are they more vulnerable than the dreadnought we are facing right now?

Titans (or Dreadnought/Behemoth for Mechanical/Biological) are a "This region is fucked" threat.

Mythical are a "Better move the nation" threat. Harming them heavily depends on who and what you are fighting. The Reaper would be immune to fire attacks, while Fractal Nova is weak to fire due to her being biological.

To kill the latter, I would recommend a bath in napalm, for about 2 hours.

Faith:
-[X] Calm Tensions
Tensions are slowly going up due to the refugees moving into the city. See that no one gets any dumb ideas and help provide what aid you can to those unfortunate enough to have no family.
(Chance: 75%
Reward: Illwill against the Refugees is lessened.)
-[X] Screw You; Eden!
Well, it seems like those fuckers think that choosing not to respond to petty insults is the same as being unable to respond at all. Let's see how they will react when you start fighting back! They think that help is earned and that the poor deserve their lot in life for their sins. Let's see how they like it when you start doing blasphemy in front of their temples by handing out alms.
(Cost: 2 Materials
Reward: Weaponized kindness, helped people, gave the COE a (sometimes literal) middle finger, lessened mali from malicious COE actions, +0.1 Goodwill.)

Diplomacy:
-[X] BREAKING NEWS! READ ALL ABOUT THE SINFUL BISHOP!
Having the family's explicit permission, exposing the secret purposefully, but with anonymity cloaking you, from the start, will rip apart the COE from inside. A "heresy" of this magnitude will leave the COE reeling for at least a year, time in which the Pilgrims could lay the groundwork of removing its presence from Tessen...
(Cost: Secret: Broken Vows, Violated Souls
Reward: Church Of Eden loses 1d1000+500 Influence. The secret is leaked to disastrous consequences for the COE inside Tessen and the Bishop in particular. If taken with Marry Selene in the same Turn, opinion will only be reduced by 1(one) instead of 2(two) due to them having far more significant concerns than being angry at you, and the COE rolls with a -20 malus. Every tradition will be observed, every bell and whistle pulled out, no expense spared, nothing left to chance. Traditionally, those asking the question give their hopefully soon-to-be spouse a weapon -this weapon is intended to be a signifier of their love. The gathered materials were a sign of the dangers they would brave for them, the craftsmanship a proof of their sweat, the scene carved upon the blade or hilt showing the one moment in which they couldn't live without the other anymore. I will gather the materials, cast it without help, carve into it my love for her, and give it to her at the place we met not so long ago. It will take much of my time, but she is worth every second, and more besides.

Uh, we might want to start looking at the Living Quarters expansion at some point. It's not urgent yet but the expansion will take 3 Turns so we probably should start once we reach 800 Followers.

And our taxes keep increasing.

Church of Eden
Contact: Bishop Jesica
Opinion: Neutral (0)
Influence Inside Tessen: 3.020
Plans: The Church Of Eden looks down on you with disdain. The lower members incorporated Anti-Pilgrim sentiments in their sermons, which, as far as you can tell, are encouraged by the higher clergy. Several traders seem to have been "convinced" to take their trade elsewhere. Quietly panicking about what was stolen. (-25 to all diplomatic rolls in Turn 28, +2 Material cost to all actions due to traders refusing to sell.) Seek a permit to demolish some Slums to build a Temple in Ularn, though there is pushback due to the Titan appearing and refugees needing houses.
Boni: +15 on all Diplomatic rolls
Huh, I'm surprised they still have a neutral opinion. With them actively working against the Pilgrims- or at least encouraging lay members- I would expect them to have a negative opinion.

The Common People:
Opinion: Friends (2)
Plans: Cheer the Pilgrims on/Disapprove of Martyris
Mood: Seem ready for whatever may come out of the coming struggle. Many have readied themselves for emergency evacuations of their homes. The most pressing matter (besides the Titan) is a lack of sanitation, though expanded sewers are currently being constructed. Estimates say they will be finished in six months.
That's good, only two turns until the sewers are finished.

The Union of Herbalists:
Opinion: Neutral (1)
Plans: Advance Medicine
Factions:
-Unionists (Rivals (-2)/10% Control/Mali to Costs for Actions)
-Base (Friendly (1)/45% Control/Cheaper Actions)
-Healers (Ally (3)/45% Control/Enables Doctoral Training)
Boni: +15 on all Diplomatic rolls
The Unionists can't catch a break, huh. I'm a bit worried they will do something extreme if they keep losing members like that.

Criminal Organisations:
Leader: Holy Rose
Opinion: Neutral (0)
Plans: ???/War-Profiteering/Something In Zulmni And Jokvi
Oh, hey, they are active in Zulmni And Jokvi, the places with the murder cult. Now the only question is if the criminals are the killers, they cover for the murder cult, or if they investigate on their own because the victims were minions of Holy Rose.

Cults:
Opinion: Neutral/??? (0/???)
Plans: ???
Uncovered:
-???
We probably should spend an action on looking into other cults, at some point.

Food Preservatives - 1.15 - +5 to Chemicals
Molds Of Binoculars - 1.10 - +5 to Metallurgy
Wow, that could be pretty useful. Researching the Food Preservatives would be more useful if we produced food but it could still reduce the upkeep of the storerooms. The molds are more questionable...

@HeroCooky Are the molds only for the casing of binoculars? The difficult to develop/create part of binoculars are the lenses after all so only being able to make a casing but no lenses won't be too useful.
...Could still help with developing molds for other tools though.

Marianna Elasia, 31 years old, blacksmith for 19 years, mother of nine children.
Nine kids are impressive. Must have been a huge strain on her health. But... what's up with her age? Did she start her training as a blacksmith at age 12? Or was she a full trained and guild recognized blacksmith by that time?

Towering with 2.30 meters above her 1.60 tall husband, Marianna looked nothing like any of her children. She was, to put it bluntly, built like someone took the concept of muscles and pushed it into the extremes, as she could bend iron beams as if they were nothing, and was able to lift as much as three healthy adults combined. No-one knew whether this was because of a Mutation, whose mere possibility had alienated her from a young age, or her hard work inside her smithy, but her marrying Lars, a Mutated himself, had not made her life more pleasant.
That explains the big number of kids. Although; I'm curious how her build affects her joints. She could get some serious health problems there.

Which was a massive problem for Turi, as within a single minute of meeting her, she managed to insult her choice of profession, make her youngest child cry, and projected an aura of utter "Holier-Than-Thou," all accidentally while trying to seem competent and friendly. She failed horribly, marking the beginning of a relationship that began and ended within the smithy rooms and the laboratory.
We might want to move Turi Anoas from Research to the Diplomatic Corps. Just in case we want to really piss someone off.

In effect, rather than reinventing the wheel, Turi modified a Warded Lock to ensure better protection. It had only so many designs and was vulnerable to a well-made skeleton key, meaning that she would have to try again to ensure that no thieves could enter. The destruction of the Artifact had prohibited any genuinely revolutionary (or not widely known) changes.
It sounds like we might want to go with puzzle locks. We could go full Zelda, just have to avoid reaching Resident Evil levels of silliness.:V

This experience was not the only source of irritation and anger for Turi; instead, it was almost a break from the real source of her emotional instability. You see, when the Empire first incorporated the Forge-Clans into its Guild-System, they only agreed to it if they were granted concessions. Concessions, which included the right to be the only ones to build their technology and ensure that others would not take their work and re-make it for their profit. When she started on her work on electronics, she ran headfirst into a significant problem: Patents.
That must lead to many problems with other countries and border nobles trying to work around that.

A process doubly complicated by realizing that once you knew what electronics were, the only problem was making the tools needed for their creation. To put it bluntly, she had learned what electronics were and what materials were needed in their construction in her education. Meaning that instead of telling Vanar-Feer that she knew how to do so because of the 4S teaching her, she "invented" primitive electronics and proved that she had not used Clan-Secrets. It took her a day to realize that she had wasted three months doing something she could have completed within an hour.
I wonder what kind of electronics she "invented". Could be simple analog circuits, digital circuits, or even vacuum tubes but she used an Artefact; so who knows what pre-Fall humanity used with stuff like Juwel around.

Fifteen minutes later, she was admonished by a medical worker about her carelessness and that she was old enough to understand that human bones were not stronger than stone.
I'm sure there is a mutation for that.:V

"-ith the new waterwheels installed, we will be able to expand our mines, increasing our income from them dramatically.
Yay, so we can dig deeper.

... The danger table will get "dug too deep" added on, won't it?

"Years worth of evidence, of a cleric committing their blackest heresy. Rising in the ranks despite his sins, which we can prove without a shadow of a doubt. Now. Who wants to burn down a Church?"
I'm not sure if we should do this now or first do some preparation actions. A Diplomatic action to set up false trails and scapegoats maybe?

Definitely have to go with Breaking News, the other option is just too risky. But we then must push them out of Tessen.

I think this Turn would be a good opportunity to scout TOP-01 and to learn more about the machines. We have to fight them to clear out TOP-03 so having their stat blog could be very useful.

The Dreadnought gives a pretty big bonus. Half as much as our soup kitchens and hospices do.

It would be such a shame if all Church Of Eden investigations pointed to the Holy Rose - Criminal Organizations.
@HeroCooky Would trying something like this trigger A Victims Ire, giving us a +10?

So the roll does count? I thought we don't have to roll the dice now but in three turns?

They won't change the outcome of the roll.
Then it's probably about if the kids are Mutated or not. I can't think of anything else that wouldn't be affected by the medical wing.

2. Only the casings.
3. Started her training at 12.
4. She has no health problems. Fit as a fiddle. Strong as a Lizard. Definitely not Mutated, no sir.
5. Not really, as Forge-Clans exist outside the Empire, and are prickly about someone using their shit in the region of another Clan without their permission. And for those cases where there are none, the nobles have to weigh the continued support of a Clan vs "New Shiny"
6. Analog, though they are 12% better (cheaper, quicker, more reliable) than what was used in 1980, now she has to figure out how to produce the damn things.
7. Yep.

9. Yes.
10. Eh, it was rolled and I would probably forget to call a roll. It had nothing to do with mutation-chance.

-[X] The Adventurer Guild - (1 Free Action)
--[X] Take 'Em Out - (COE) - (-7 Materials)
-[X] The Union Of Herbalists - (1 Free Action)
--[X] Study Sessions - (-2.34 Materials) - (6/8 Turns Complete)
-[X] Criminal Organisations - (1 Free Action)
--[X] Sabotage - (COE) - (-7 Materials)

This should fit into the budget.
The Faith and Diplomacy actions to cause problems for the COE and to get rid of the extra costs they caused. The Adventurers and Criminals should make this safe enough, hopefully.
The Martial action to learn more about the machines we will have to fight soon. The Learning action because if we use Breaking News, we don't have to worry about security troubles caused by the COE for a few Turns. I would also like to keep a few lightbulbs, so we can research them later.
The Archeology action to clear WO-02, because otherwise the place would be left with a single action. The Tree of Knowledge action because everything else is too expensive. :V
And finally, the Personal actions to marry Selene.

Edit: Whoops, forgot the dress.
