Well, I'm not on my computer so I can't write her full backstory.

Edit: Also, I feel like Bone Valley is one of the few regions where we can get away with a Mutated adjudicator. So it feels like a waste to put a regular human.
Um I think besides the Frozen Russian and a few others I think that there is not really want we would call normal humans are about hell for all we know the normal in this place is that the appendix is actually a useful organ that does stuff besides exploding...

Having a human is more pragmatic for founding chapters. A founding chapter will be almost as fragile as the pilgrims on its infancy.

A mutaded founder may give fuzzy feelings but will make our mission pointlessly harder.

But think how that looks. Every 'leader' in our religion is a human when we have a significant mutated membership.

Not a great look if I'm being honest.

Oh don't fret that, the appendix has long since been removed. :)

Well, an Adjudicator is more like the:
"They carry the Rule Book. Compared to them, you are nothing." Meme in regards to what they actually do.

The ones in "charge" are the Councillors in a Council, which are elected by individual Pilgrims and their respective job-categories. In that one you have as close to equal representation of Mutated to Non-Mutated as possible, with a slight hint towards the Mutated side of the equation.

That why i said for the founding new chapters. An not overall. We the main cell can easily afford having a mutaded ajuctator now. Because we have power and influence on the region where racist groups cant spin slander.
But you have to keep in mind thateven in the enpire mutated are still second class at best. Having our main political figure when we have no regional power is making things pointlessly hard that the opportunity cost calculus, expecially when our main public figure is a mutaded war hero.

From what I gathered, the Adjudicator is somewhat the public face of the local cult. Is that not the case?
The role an Adjudicator is supposed to have is to limit any deviation from the mission of the Pilgrims, provide aid and counsel to the Council, and keep in regular contact with all other Pilgrim Chapters/Regions so that they can ensure that news, rumors, and trouble coming their way is well known.

They hold no actionable power over anything decided by the Council of their Chapter, with, at best, having sway due to personal gravitas.

While the Adjudicator can be the External Face, they are more geared to be an Internal Face to the Pilgrims.

The problem with Martyris being a very public and influential figure within the Pilgrims is firstly due to him founding the cult and secondly having noble connections into the highest echelons now. Can't exactly seperate yourself if you have that kind of a spotlight shown on you.

The ajuctator role is more political in nature. Dealing with nobles, faith figure guild representatives, basically its the guy that intermediate communications between an forging authority and the council.

A public face would be someone like Aria. Mart pulic presence is more due he being founder and a noble by marriage.

What selection pressure decided "redundant micro fauna" was a necessity?
1-They help support normal intestinal and immune function via a wide array of interactions.
2-They help us process some foods better
3-Some of them even generate some of the vitamins that we absorb.
Having a backup of known good microbiota just in case you need to nuke the area clean is useful for ensuring that such benefits are retained and that you don't suffer for too long.

    [X] Bone Valley
    [X] (Adjudicator Vote)
    -[X] Name: Omar of Iron
    -[X] Gender: He/Him
-[X] Appearance: Slightly shorter than average, Omar has a medium, if muscular, build, extremely dark skin and piercing, thoughtful brown eyes. Naturally bald, he has a significant blade scar running from the top of his forehead, across the top of his nose, past the corner of his eye and down his cheeks.
-[X] Personality: Very few Pilgrims would consider themselves close to Omar, but he is universally respected among the cult. An extremely taciturn man, Omar rarely speaks at length, instead allowing his actions to speak for him. Possessing a drive and willpower comparable to Martyris, Omar seems utterly unshakeable, taking in plagues, arson and war with the same calm and steady mien. His nicknames - 'of Iron' or 'Ironsoul' - were given to him during the first few months of the Plague Machine's appearance, for his indefatigable service in distributing the cure.
-[X] History: Little is known of Omar's history prior to joining the Pilgrims, as he refuses to speak of it. It's known that he first came into contact with the Cult seeking food and funding for the small orphanage he ran. Upon meeting Martyris and seeing the tree, he quickly decided to move his entire adopted family to join the Pilgrims, becoming a valued member for his carpentry skills.

I wonder if people will be confused by us sending our expedition to Bone Valley instead of Ju-Ji's Hall where we have already established a good reputation.

Probably not, bone valley is similar to tesen and right now very receptive to our religion even before the crisis since we are the best tech scavangers on the empire and the bottom of the valley is a necropolis

Why is Light a Furry?

Why is Light an Old School Angelic Furry?

Why is Light an Old School Angelic Centaur Furry with Wings of Human Arms?

Regardless of the answers, great art!
To answer in the sequence asked:
1. Not the Light, but the Sunguardian, Daughter of the Eversun. She is depicted with a Jackal Head due to the animal being associated with Truth, Passion, Defense, and Justice within the Eversun.
2. Cause it looks cool.
3. Those wings of human arms are a depiction of her "Wings of Sin" representing and connecting humanity to sin within her form.
