On that note, there is currently a slight confusing panic among those involved in food production and the shipping of such, as the Region Bone Valley has refused the caravan's entry to Hal. This wouldn't be a big deal if the Region and the nine million people living in the city weren't entirely depending on the shipments to feed themselves. To say that this is a Very Not Good Thing would be a massive understatement, as the Region is already struggling under extreme poverty and lacks many vital things such as clean water for most of the population.
That sounds like things could get hideously wrong very quickly. On the other hand, if no one is willing to talk with House Stonecrest or other branches of the Adventurer Guild, would they even let our caravan into the region?

They let other caravans through, they just stonewalled the food-shipments from entering the city proper. The Adventurer Guild is currently trying to ring up their counterparts within the Region to get a ground-side view of what is happening, but since the Bone Valley Region Office doesn't have any radios, that is currently taking time until the couriers return from their trips.

-Mutations: two small horns poking from her forehead as well as two sets of fangs poking from her lips, one facing up, the other one down. She tends to paint red markings on her face.
-Personality: Hardworking, protective, takes no shit.
-History: Was kicked out of a home with too many mouths to feed and ended in one of the many small time gangs as a thug. Was left to die after being injured in a street brawl but was saved a by the Pilgrims. She was deeply moved by this and joined them, working as a foreman in one of the construction teams for the next ten years, running a tight ship. She originally joined the expedition to help build it up but was surprised to be chosen leader instead.

The amazonian oni lady is ready to go.

Edit: fun fact, she has reconnected with her sibling and many of them have joined the Pilgrims. At least two of them would be joining her on this expedition.

-[X] Name: Omar of Iron
-[X] Gender: He/Him
-[X] Appearance: Slightly shorter than average, Omar has a medium, if muscular, build, extremely dark skin and piercing, thoughtful brown eyes. Naturally bald, he has a significant blade scar running from the top of his forehead, across the top of his nose, past the corner of his eye and down his cheeks.

-[X] Personality: Very few Pilgrims would consider themselves close to Omar, but he is universally respected among the cult. An extremely taciturn man, Omar rarely speaks at length, instead allowing his actions to speak for him. Possessing a drive and willpower comparable to Martyris, Omar seems utterly unshakeable, taking in plagues, arson and war with the same calm and steady mien. His nicknames - 'of Iron' or 'Ironsoul' - were given to him during the first few months of the Plague Machine's appearance, for his indefatigable service in distributing the cure.

Those who do develop Omar's friendship notice that there's a simmering anger lurking within the man - that when his hammer drives nails into the walls of a new home, it's as though he is attacking something far greater. Whatever the target, the anger is clearly something Omar has long since brought under control.

Though he spends nearly all of his time working on one Pilgrim project or another, he has a known weakness for Catta-ball, an improvised sport played in the alleyways of Mirn. In it, an alleyway is divided in two, and three dried-out mirta grass pods are batted back and forth through the air and against the walls, using open hands only. Points are scored by landing the pods on the ground in the opposing team's half of the alley. A quiet joke has been running around the tree that Omar is traveling to the new region to spread the virtues of Catta-ball first and the Pilgrims second.

-[X] History: Little is known of Omar's history prior to joining the Pilgrims, as he refuses to speak of it. It's known that he first came into contact with the Cult seeking food and funding for the small orphanage he ran. Upon meeting Martyris and seeing the tree, he quickly decided to move his entire adopted family to join the Pilgrims, becoming a valued member for his carpentry skills.

Although he possesses little talent or interest for the technological side of the Pilgrim's mission, he respects its place in the Pilgrim's ideology. His dedication to the Pilgrim's altruistic and egalitarian ideals, on the other hand, is unimpeachable, and indeed he rapidly became a council member out of a desire to ensure the Cult remain focused and true in its endeavours.

When the time came to decide on a new region for expansion, Omar lobbied hard for the Bone Valley, arguing that an incipient humanitarian crisis demanded their response. Going forward, Omar is certain to focus the efforts of the Cult on stamping out hunger - and, perhaps, starting a Catta-ball league.

Wonder if he will focus so much on the humanitarian and sports that he will just send savaged or bought technolog and books to the tree.

That isn't necessarily a bad thing, as we can send them the technology researched from those artifacts.
He also cant really decide it on himself, the ajuctator is more a jude and rarely come with with the ideas himself, hell he not even like a president where you can chose the cabinet.

Well, I'm not on my computer so I can't write her full backstory.

Edit: Also, I feel like Bone Valley is one of the few regions where we can get away with a Mutated adjudicator. So it feels like a waste to put a regular human.

Omar of Iron is very loosely based on this Omar. Thinking about what kind of person we'd want for our adjudicator, his story came to mind. Adding mutations just didn't fit for me, mentally. I wouldn't mind if someone wanted to make a mutated!Omar version to vote on though.

That said, I'm on the fence about how our cult would react to a mutant-hostile area. We're practical and care for our members' safety, but we're also idealistically egalitarian and cussed enough to send mutants anyways as civil protest.

I feel like most of our adjudicators are going to be human because they will be the political face of their chapter. That's why I would like to get a Mutated in one of the few places where its feasible to do so.

I also feel that if Anisse isn't picked here then she's never going to be picked since people are already biased towards humans due to said political reasons.

I mean, I kinda feel like our voter base actually prefers mutated for the coolness factor and an urge to spite racism, but I could certainly be wrong.
