On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

It takes 3 Adamant to apply the boost.
And no, it hasn't been chosen yet, but any plan that sells 2 or more adamant bars closes that option entirely from consideration.
This turn we are using 1 action on the armor (the design phase), and then we will need to build the actual armor. By next turn , we will gain only 1 adamant from our forges.
Which means Adamant either will not be applied, or the armor is delayed.
We are not using 1 action this turn on the armor (the design phase). What we are doing is:
[X] Boon from the Sky: [Cost: Start Request, [Difficult] Plated Skies Pt. 1:] A bundle of his crest feathers. In exchange, he expects a suit of armour.
This (A) doesn't cost an action and (B) doesn't start the design phase. It allows us to get something from the KoTS but starts the request Plated Skies Pt.1.

Then I misunderstood the previous turn vote.

1. How many members does the Brotherhood have approximately?
2. Are they willing to tell us what the qualifications for joining are? Is it X level of skill and can they work out adamant?
1. After the Incursion 14 Senior Members and 56 Normal Members, apprentices notwithstanding cuz apprentices and they don't know anything save that their master is part of the brotherhood. They've lost a significant portion of their membership because of the Incursion, which consequently came in right as they were supposed to do a smelting of new Adamant so you can guess that sorta threw a wrench into things.
2. Qualifications for entirely new members is solid evidence that they're on the path to adamant as shown when Kraggi believed you were, but usually, an apprentice once ordained as a Master can be onboarded without much issue, unless they're unworthy but why would a Master have taken them in the first place if that was the case?

[X] Plan Research Buddies v.2

I like the idea of working with the brotherhood to knock out the runemetal and voidstone research. The more collab between Runelords the better.

[X] Plan Rush Rune Metal v0.2

I have a feeling this vote is going to be closr

Finishing up those extra research trees is vital if we wish to progress. Though with everything else that's going on I think it important that we take an apprentice or two once we are done here. If only so we can eventually fill in the gaps left by the missing Runelords.

Huh...that is simultaneously more and fewer members than I expected. And given the whole losses thing I kinda hope we've managed to help them out a fair amount in this regard.

mmm...

More questions
@soulcake
1. With their losses how badly was the new smelting going to be affected? Lower yield than normal due to fewer contributors?
2. What differentiates senior from junior members? Are senior members runelords of good standing who've been in the organisation a good amount of time, a member whose been around a decent amount of time and contributed so on?
3. Why the rune metal as the qualifier? Because its complex enough and relates to their secret purpose?
4. More of a meta-question, but is the True Rune of purification partially a result of Snorri's traits? My logic is comparing the processes together one is certainly markedly more efficient in many areas which fits productivity like no other (not sure if its more esoteric, but its certainly using a non standard component vs elder dragon's blood which is an obvious albeit rare reagent). I'm curious if we ended up with different traits, then we'd have ended up with a different path to adamantite?
