@Oshha, when our Infrastructure passive built palisades that counted towards quests, so will Agriculture and Trade passive policies count towards the Farmer and Crafter quests? (Presumably the Crafter quest only gets done if the trade expedition ends up going to the lowlands.)

Agriculture won't count towards the Farmer quest, but Trade will count towards the Crafter quest if it hits the right target and will be weighted towards fulfilling the faction quest.

[X] [React] Encourage the Forden and Fornn to rebel against Galdae

If we do this now, we don't have to do Sec Trade Expedition next turn, letting us do Sec War Party and Main Stone Wall. It also strikes now when Urth hasn't had time to consolidate, has not built up his army again, and right after the Forluc's military got dumpstered. Don't want to give him time to recover AGAIN. Plus, if we're particularly lucky, the Fordern and Foren kick him out before the main turn comes out.

Besides, there'll be less resistance to anti-Urth if it comes from For vassals than if it comes from us.

Edit: Now is a bad time to finish Sacred Forest. It'll become an infrastructure project which's eat the passive, which means no free innovation unless we spend a Secondary Action on building palisades which is ew.

Given what we know of the Forluc a rebellion would only strengthen his powerbase unless it outright gets upended, doubly so if our hand gets revealed. Move where they aren't moving, grab the factions not yet involved.
Doesn't matter if he's their catspaw ruler if he can't take action against us.

We shouldn't talk to the Zaradysh and Boarfolk. They're completely outside of anything we want to do. Doesn't defeat Urth, doesn't finish the Sacred Forest, doesn't do the Stone Wall. Like come on guys, we JUST got a very important lesson on why we shouldn't leave Urth alone to let him prepare and do what he wants!

If we just charge after Urth he gets a number of plays he can make and likely will take one of them to cause more trouble for us. Inciting rebelling I expect to basically split the Forloc and leave us with their extracted rebels while the ones loyal to Urth stick around and now no longer are plagued by in-fighting.

This is the perfect chance to take out our two biggest rivals. Both of their militarys strength have been severely mauled and reduced. We are not going to get a chance like this ever again with these two. This mid-turn we get their unhappy subordinates against them and next turn we go all in on war party's like we did this turn.

Can we not just give fresh bodies to the Caradysh please? The Forluc dont burn the bodies of their death, is a more perfect farm to Urth than the one we burn to the ground. The best thing we can do now is spread the info about Urth known abilities to the Arthwyd to everyone, but that is not a option.
In my opinion we should begin the Stone wall so we can finish it in one turn or improve our armies.
Maybe it will be an unpopular opinion, but right now we are not ready for a very large war that an attack or support an attack against the Forluc just to remove Urth will start (wich still will give more wins to Urth as the Forluc doesnt burn their bodies)
We have been 2 turns in war, lets calm down an plan logistics for a future war, consolidate. Obstruct Urth in more suble ways (their subordinates) so we can prepare, at least Urth now has to put an act now, its unlikely that the nobles would tolerate something to radical and if we could pass the info about Urth they could even misstrust their Queen and plan independently. We need the south to burn their bodies.

We're actually in a much better form than we're going to be in the future. Right now Urth's rule is shaky, his forces depleted, and his infrastructure ruined. The forluc have not yet recovered their forces, and Urth hasn't had time to build up legitimacy yet.

Are you freaking kidding me!? We're more ready than we've ever been! We have no pressing issues or crises taking our attention, our army's veteran and in very good shape due to its victories, and Urth and the Forluc are weaker than they've ever been! Your plan is nothing more than letting our enemy recover from their weakest point while we come down from our highest point!

Obstruct Urth in more suble ways (their subordinates) so we can prepare
Then for goodness sake vote for the option that does that! That's what the Forden/Fornn option is for!

The best way to obstruct Urth is to find ourselves more allies for the next round. By that I don't mean rebellious Forden and Fornn, they're too likely to get crushed by Urth thereby allowing him to consolidate his rule, but Boarfolk (heavy cavalry ho!) and Zarannists. Let's see Urth deal with a nomad horde!

@Oshha Do Zarannists still make up the majority of the Forluc's slave population?

Why would they help us?

The Zarannist are likely to try and stab us in the back, and the boarfolk nomads might simply bugger of.

The best allies we can get are the guys with the Heroic Martial who are discontent against Urth's rule and want him out of the Forluc, not some random lowlanders and boarfolk who have no stake in the matter and no Heroic Martial.

EDIT: Even if we were to get the Zaradysh and Boarfolk on board, it's more likely to unite the Forluc behind Urth than if the Forden and Fornn rebelled.

Urth is the Big Guy in the Lowlands now and Zarannist doctrine is basically "kill the Big Guy in charge so that you can become the Big Guy in charge". Remember the Zarannists slave uprisings in the last thread? It's not so much "helping us" as it's pressing their buttons in order to get them to go after Urth instead of us this time.

But hey, you can just ignore them again and give Urth the time to work them over to his side instead.

No, we're the big guy seeing as we just kicked his ass. More over the more time we spend looking for maybe allies the more time we give Urth to recover from the weakest point he's ever been. We're ready to go and they're completely unprepared for an invasion. Strike while the iron is hot.

We know that. But what view does the rest of the Lowlands have on the conflict, hmm? How much do they even know about what's going on? We're still very much "those guys in the north", while the Forluc are still seen as the dominant power in the Lowlands. Or is that the Caradysh now? Well in any case, it's not us.

_I really want the Stability boost from the Priest Faction Quest.
Stability: 1/3 is closer to 0/3 than I like.

[X] [React] Make effort to expand the military long term.
_ We will end up fighting the Caradysh again, and therfore need to expand our military in preparation for that. While we focus on Urth and the Forluc the Caradysh will be rebuilding the Cursed Forest.

[X] [React] Begin construction of the Stone Wall.
_I would prefer a Stone Wall built around the Trading Outpost at the conflux. The faster the project is completed the earlier we can build a wall to protect the outpost.

He's not going to be courting Zarannists when he's only just become ruler of a war-wracked country. He's going to consolidate and we have to disrupt that, and the best way of doing so is by getting his vassals to rebel.

The Caradysh are dead! We wiped them out! The final thing we have to do is beat Urth, who's currently king of the Forluc. It's the final thing we have to do and we never have to fight Urth or the Caradysh again! There's a time and place to expand and prepare but this is not that time or place. We need to attack NOW. We're in the best possible situation to attack and Urth is in the worst possible position to defend. There's not gonna be a better time to attack and end this conflict forever.

Let me direct you to another quest:
Objective: Build more palisades in 3 Turns, Success/Failure: Free Innovation/-
If we finish the Sacred Forest now, the Infrastructure passive will make more forest instead of a palisade next turn. That means if we want a free innovation, we have to spend a Secondary action building a palisade. The best thing to do is wait for a little bit. Our Megaproject policy will finish the Sacred Forest next turn automatically. Everything will be fine, all we need is a little patience.

It is a mix of Zarannists, Forlucans and animists, but you don't know how many of each there is.

The Caradysh are dead! We wiped them out!

You didn't wipe them out. You destroyed every settlement you could find, but the Cursed Forest is a massive place and in the years following the invasion, it quickly became clear that there were some survivors. You definitely devastated them, but they are still around.
