There are other female daemon princes but each book has only ever had one at a time (until AoS) so it was a case of tokenism. Which was fair in the 1990's, less so in the 2010's.

I haven't looked at the book in a while, so might be that Dhaz and Tor allow female priests. You sure about the divine caster thing? I thought that Dahz and Tor allowed female priests.
Otherwise thats fair enough, I was probably projecting to much fanon on to them.
Are such decisions ever reversible? Like, I don't want to get more involved in the EIC right now and I don't think the thread wants to either, but say that the thread actually does as a whole change its opinion on something like this, what would the mechanism be for you to notice it and put it up for a vote?Controlling the economic side of the EIC or being the Steward of K8P would have been the ways to go about that sort of thing, but since the thread opted for neither, it's really outside of her wheelhouse.

Reading the thread. If people seemed unhappy with being Loremaster or that they wanted to take a more active role in the EIC's day-to-day, I'd start gauging how widespread that was. Otherwise it would be part of the usual end-of-arc votes to decide what Mathilde will do with her life for the next few years.
@BoneyM after we finish Quickish project can we get a option to spend 6 months to a year traveling so we can go use our elgi token and maybe see some more parts of the world?
Does a Second IC that grows into her role sufficiently to take over most operations of the Information network after a significant period of time change the calculus of taking a more active role in the EIC Day to Day? Because if the Second IC eventually develops to the point she can run most functions of the Intelligence Networks without Mathilde's direct intervention, this implies that a chunk of Mathilde's hours has been freed to be repurposed, doesn't it, which frees up that 0.5AP worth of time.
It seems to me that alot of stuff being thrown out there, such as there is this interesting Nekeharan artifact on the market plot hook is the sort of stuff Mathilde will never be able to respond to in time at 0.5AP, but with an actual Second IC that is working with Mathilde within the EIC, then things change, because the Second IC is actively liaising with the handles from the week to week basis, as opposed to say the month to month basis Mathilde engages in, or even half-year basis as with the case of the Stirland Campaign. If the thread basically wants to start looking for fine-grained stuff or get fine-grained opportunities that imply someone's time is being actively consumed at the level below a local handler, but with immediate access to Mathilde, that seems like the sort of thing that doesn't lie on a normal "handler" intelligence tree, but the "second IC tree" instead.
Could it be possible to groom a second IC to the point that she not only handles day to day operations of the Intelligence side of Mathilde's stake of the EIC, but also make it possible for Mathilde to get a modest enough EIC presence in a desired location, enough to start getting ears up?
What I'm asking here is, can a second IC develop to the point she can hold down the fort on the side of the Intelligence network during a turn Mathilde decides to economically intervene in the EIC? Of course, it won't surprise me if it's a very late development, but that may be one major advantage of getting a 2nd IC sooner rather than later - it eventually allows Mathilde to take fine-grained time-costly actions she otherwise cannot on a one-woman and no assistant situation, with her half AP.
Absolutely not. Economic control of the EIC has a 1AP per turn price of entry, period.
What about fine grain intelligence actions that are very specific, as opposed to the broad based, high level arms length policy action that Mathilde has taken so far?
Things like Look for X exotic opportunity within the EIC sphere of influence, that implies someone with direct access to Mathilde is actively monitoring.
