@BoneyM Would the situation change if we hired Gretel rather than a Perpetual presuming she's interested, as Imugi proposes?

Why would she be interested? She is already set for life and has never shown an interest in data mining.@BoneyM Would the situation change if we hired Gretel rather than a Perpetual presuming she's interested?
Other Grey Wizards won't have her reputation or the presumption of profit motives to protect them

Wait, why instead of the wildly exotic Eshin Sorcerer casting paper, which is only fresh now, we are doing a Timeless one?
There are plans that work on that paper they just aren't winning.Wait, why instead of the wildly exotic Eshin Sorcerer casting paper, which is only fresh now, we are doing a Timeless one?
Thanks. Would this be in the Duckling Club or the Personal actions category?

Yes, but we already relayed pertinent information to Algard, and he has made big moves based on it.I believe the idea is that the content (information on the Civil War) will be of most immediate use the sooner it is published. It might be "Timeless" in terms of us recalling it, but it's more applicable the sooner the Empire has access to it.
Well make the vote. I'll add it to my approval.Yes, but we already relayed pertinent information to Algard, and he has made big moves based on it.
The whole Conspiracy thing is a balancing act of not letting Skaven run rampant while also not threatening them too much. The odds that some trivial minutiae in the correspondence will trigger another large scale action like the simultaneous siege of two enormous warrens is unlikely at best.
Meanwhile, Eshin Sorcerers aren't even certain to exist, much less have someone with this good wind sight and understanding of ulgu calmly witness their extremely secretive Lore of magic.
We could probably use this paper as an example to show the Grey college that we can already translate some Queekish but not all of it. Hopefully this translates to willingness to allow us access to some of the Skaven writings they or the colleges have. With that access there is a chance that we could find Queekish magical vocabulary. Probably the only way we will get the missing lexicon.Wait, why instead of the wildly exotic Eshin Sorcerer casting paper, which is only fresh now, we are doing a Timeless one?
I wished to do the Eshin sorcerer paper, but the Inter-Eshin correspondence might be time sensitive and involve other nations. While Algard has already played his hand, the intel may uncover opportunities other can exploit.Yes, but we already relayed pertinent information to Algard, and he has made big moves based on it.

Next turn our paper-writing capacity will be full on dictionaries if we aren't doing that this turn, but the turn afterwards we will have saved a personal action that we can use to dictate two papers to Max and the Sorcerer paper will not yet have decayed to -10. If we still want to do that then, that would be the time.I expect that it probably a must on next turn plans, up there with Powerstones.
I'll trade you approval vote for approval vote? I don't want Max's action to get wasted, so I want one of these plans to win.
I'll be honest, I don't really care if the people who are going to skin me alive and tourture my soul for eternity are gender equalists who will also skin alive and torture for eternity a woman to the same degree.Pretty sure the average Asur commoner would not be expected to be on their fifth or sixth child once they reach the equivalent of Mathilde's age, so I'd say they are still batter than the Imperials in this matter.
On a sillier note, how egalitarian are the Chaos Tribes? They seem to be mostly under the thumb of the Chaos Gods, who are either indifferent to gender or aggressively indifferent in Slaneesh's case, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were better on this particular aspect than you'd expect.
We are going to want to publish our AV paper first to reassure people that we are not insane and are working with a good theory.Thought process:
1) Mathilde has Windherder and Windsage. She has also demonstrated the ability to no-sell other people's miscasts.
2) Aethyric Vitae is a (somewhat) stable mix of all eight winds in equal amounts in liquid form.
2b) AV destabilises if more of one type of wind is introduced.
3) The Collages consider it theoretically possible that High Magic can be achieved by having eight wizards synchronously cast the spell. However the danger represented by having eight simultaneous miscasts makes the technique impractical to explore.
4) At least some of the winds have a liquid intermediate phase between wind and power stone.
Hypothesis:
It may be possible to create more AV by channelling equal amounts of the eight winds into a small space, possibly utilising the techniques involved in power stone creation.
Proposal:
Have eight Wizards, one from each College and not including Mathilde, channel tiny amounts of magic into the same place. Have Mathilde on hand both to observe and to ground out miscasts.
@BoneyM
Can we try this to see, or is it under the heading of 'Mathilde thinks it is suicidal'?
