You do get that the whole post can be misconstrued to be a form of exerting pressure, or begging for the QM, in an attempt to influence just what rewards/favor the PC gets? And that QM's can and have in the past reacted reather badly to posters trying to tell them what the rewards for something should be?
No. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it. It was done in the same manner as speculation on what weapon upgrades we could get, what monster is under the floorboards, what we'd get from taking martial training, etc. I was just taking guesses at how much the dwarfs would appreciate our different acts.

Since it seems to be so unpopular I'll cut it out.

[X] Kragg and his Unsealing.

Because she wants to see it. She's been skulking and killing all day, had some close calls, now it's time to indulge her curiosity.

Also, if I were a sneaky rat(goblin) bastard and wanted to get into the sealed areas and I knew dawi were coming, I'd set up in a hidden position, let them do the unsealing, then rush them in force. Mathilde's eye for an ambush could well be needed.

A key thing to consider here with each of the options is how many forces can Mathilde free up by accelerating progress at each site.

Her presence or absence will not change the fact that the Underways will need guarding. They'll always need guarding, and the need for guarding will grow over time as the skaven and goblins have chance to mobilise. Right now is the time when they will almost least ever need it, as the neighbours won't be ready to march out to attack at a moment's notice. It's better to accelerate reinforcement from the rest of the expedition than for Mathilde to attempt to do it herself.

Kragg the Grimm will be busy with the contents of the vaults after opening them, so won't be available to reinforce elsewhere immediately afterwards.

Of the prevailing options, only the forces assaulting the Chiselwards can be redeployed to reinforce other locations. They're the one place where Mathilde's presence can make success compound on success.

That's why she should go there. She's only needed in the other two locations if there is a crisis, but she's much more likely to be able to accelerate clearing the Chiselwards, even if they're completely empty, unlike the other two. That frees up the Rangers and soldiers to go and do other useful things.

How would you set up a hidden position that the dwarves with their affinity for stone wouldn't find, given they're sweeping the place for enemies?

I hope we get to see Panoramia's reaction to Mathilda's latest escapades. Dwarfs tend to be subdued even when highly enthusiastic. Our journeymanling fan girl should be more exuberant.

So should we see about writing a book about this campaign when we are done? It would certainly be good for the reputation of Wizards at the very least.

Sounds like a good way to make money and reputation, but it'd be a big time sink, and we already have such a big backlog. Maybe if we start now while we're not doing anything between battles?

We'd have to obscure a lot of the details and probably add in some extra fluff but it would make a good book or even a book series. The adventures of Wizard James Bond would be pretty cool.

Mathilde already has experience writing and a reputation for creating a popular book (even if it was mostly just transcription) so it's got a pretty good chance of working out.

Not to mention for added fun we can use it as the basis for a Book code, one that requires you to use the book and know details of the real events that were left out.

Memories of Asarnil sold like hot cakes. MMM paper being horrible to read is a nice meme, but it also was merely mediocre as far as actual rolls went.

Mathilde's track record as a writer has barely started, but there was is basically nothing to seriously suggested that she is a bad one.

I mean, shouldn't academic paper being hard to read and obtuse be a sign of honour for a Grey Wizard? :D

Also, that's Asarnil. I assume that people of Empire have shit taste and thus would not consider Kragg or Belegar to be as much of a husbando material as Asarnil. Which, well, is their loss, but still.
