@tarrangar, I liked your meat-mech ideas but must agree with Duesal : we are currently busy researching even better Resurrection rituals, and the Flesh Forge instead of Fungus Forge. Let's not bother with this and instead just use the better stuff when it's ready.

It's not like I'm insisting we do this right this second, we can wait some months, but I do believe it's worth doing at some point, but probably only after we have upgraded the Fungus Forge, us getting the Flesh Forge will hopefully increase the max CR we can make.

If the max CR we can make increase to just 12 or 13, then the Meat-mech idea become even more useful, as 10 class levels on a CR12 or even better a CR13 creature, make for quite the potent creature.

If the CR go all the way up to 15 once we upgrade, the Meat-mech and Dagger combo, might be a CR20+ challenge in a fight.

The slave could also be a distraction, by accident or intent. Would the devil just leave her around his personal quarters when he wasn't there and "engaged" with her? For all we know the devil is taking a piss in the attached bathroom and will burst out while we focus on the ifrit.
That's why I'm only hitting it with Baleful Polymorph. If it resists, it's a threat, if not then it's a turtle. Everyone in the group is immune to Baleful Polymorph right now, too, so there is no need to worry about Spell Turning shenanigans.

Unfortunately the class requires the sacrifice of all intellectual pursuits in the quest for greatness, it would be OOC to be choosy.

Well... if anything makes one capable of wanting to be joffrey's new baby daddy its sacrificing all intellect i suppose.

Edit: btw there is choosy... and then there is Cersei.. I think you can afford a little more choosiness. Is that even a word lol oh well.

Counterargument, you are already the greatest being in existence, what do you have to prove? :V
Ha, but Aurane Waters does not compare himself to the common rabble, his only rival is Aurane Waters himself!
Already he is 20% more sexually attractive than yesterday's Aurane, and it's his duty to continue improving himself until no more greatness can be achieved or there are no more women to bless.

A Swashbuckler 20 dropped into Braavos the day Ser Darry arrives with the Targ children.
  • You have no gear and cannot take gear-feats, but you have every single Luck feat as a bonus feat. You can never cast spells/mysteries/powers/Wild Shape, but if you can get good enough teachers you can retrain into any martial class. Mythic Ranks are entirely possible, but difficult.
This, because as Crake put it so succinctly:
AKA How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love Being Jack Sparrow Isekai'd into ASoIaF
I'd have the skills to be The Most Interesting Man In The World, I'd rip off my Seeker build with Telling Blow and a pair of Kuhkris (possibly even with Improved Critical) and pick up Daring Outlaw ASAP, instantly making me much, much more dangerous. That's combat essentially taken care of. Can I get the 'Braavosi' Weapon Finesse to add DEX to damage?

I might even be cheeky and put in ranks in Knowledge (Martial Lore) and start retraining myself into a Stalker or Harbinger (because Riven Hourglass is awesome).

I'd really apreciate a Ring of Prestidigitation, tho.

Tarrangar has a very interesting idea in accruing fame (and, as collateral, fortune) as a means to get Mythic Ranks relatively quickly and easily, once things are in full swing.

I might go for Dragon Shaman if there weren't that pesky "15th gets your soul" clause.

The Weirds are massively powerful, no doubt, but it's one thing to become an elf, dwarf, or even dragon or outsider. But an elemental? Especially one as, well, weird as a Weird?

That's too radical a perspective shift.

Plan updated. maximum overkill engaged thanks to building paranoia.

[X] "Do not resist," Dany commands as Viserys casts Assay Spell Resistance, then uses Miracle to duplicate a Sacramental Deal spell targeting the "slave".
-[X] If the "slave" is not captured, Siduri will hit them with a Greater Dispel Magic spell while Dany uses Barbed Chains to trip it and Xor uses his Touch of Idiocy Occular Spell on it.

And what if it's just a slave? We'd have wasted way too many spell slots there!

We haven't run dry from a full tank in a long time though. In fact we usually get through one whole battle without that ever being a problem, even at our least conservative... and at the end of the day we might just be overreacting, but... c'mon, wouldn't it be funny if we were just like "HI BYE" to the boss?

It would be such a funny story to tell at the next Arch-Fiend convention!

The one we'll raid, not attend as a guest, obviously.

Followed by a rousing re-telling of the Six Second Snake.

If it's just a slave, we will have wasted one 4th level slot and one 9th level slot. It won't be able to resist the spell barring a Nat 20 roll, so any follow-up spells will be for dealing with a dangerous imposter.
I mean, wasting a 9th feels bad enough. Can't we have some other PC handle it? Who else is with us now?

Crake's rephrasing of that choice did a lot to make it appealing to me :D

What kind of thing are you planning to get that fame? Will you start a war a few years before Viserys awakens to power? Will you interfere with his life? Will you be a very public (and very deadly) thief?
Or are you planning crazier things, like "kill Dothraki Khals" or "start a slave rebellion" or something?

I might go for Dragon Shaman if there weren't that pesky "15th gets your soul" clause.
Yeah.
On another note, I'm not sure I would enjoy living in Lys anyway. Horrible place with a horrible form of slavery going on, and I'm not certain that a level 20 Dragon Shaman could singlehandedly change things without causing a long and bloody war of some sort.

The Weirds are massively powerful, no doubt, but it's one thing to become an elf, dwarf, or even dragon or outsider. But an elemental? Especially one as, well, weird as a Weird?

Huh. My main issue was potentially having to spend ages stuck in one spot with nothing but your own magic and rare (and potentially dangerous) visitors for entertainment. Well, that and Sendings I guess. You can be pen pals with Bloodraven or something!
I don't quite see how being an Elemental would instantly fundamentally change your perspective. They speak normal languages, have normal (well, normal for high-level humans) social skills... Or do you mean the free action Divination?
I would indeed be tempted to be constantly having visions of potentially interesting things. That could indeed warp my perspective, I guess.

Well, honestly, I'm going to find where all the rum has gone off to, tbh...
