Not a whole lot at the moment, but there are some available.
There are 9 Healing Belts, 13 PfE rings, and 3 PfE amulets in the Armory right now. We've been handing them out quite often over the past couple months.
There are more on the crafting schedule this month, of course, with at least 50 Healing Belts and 15 PfE rings slated for crafting that haven't been assigned yet.

We are horribly limited in numbers of available Companions as is, and the choice between "Char-snekpent" and "Efreeti Convoy" will leave us with just that - we can only do so much without interrupting other, no less important projects we delegated running to our pals.
If we don't get any info, I'll spearhead gunning for Snek - but strategic value of the convoy is much higher.

So question should we send some of our mages with him? The Scholarium students or one of the children? They could really level there...they could also die so maybe not. Probably not.
They're sapient right? Everyone likes land and official positions, and it might make them feel better about moving to live in a strange land if they have some sort of social and political power. Think the Pegasi would be interested in knighthood?

He's going to be focused on his quest for god knows how long, and he's not going to be an official vassal until he's done, so it's a moot point until he gets back.
