Also while we are on this tangent. We were robbed of one of the greatest showdowns in Japan. Oda Nobunaga vs Uesugi Kenshin. The latter died before they had a fight and I feel robbed. Yes it happened almost a half a century ago. No I am still salty

They why of that I have been wondering on occasion. I thought it was due to a very large number of low value posts, jokes/sarcasm that were written in the exact same way as serious posts, and desires that run contrary to the general thread's prevailing mood frequently. Well the mood displayed by the text of many of the posters.

Main cause, I believe(d) was that I posted as if I was having a verbal conversation, and the medium of text prevents the nuance of verbal tone and visible body language.

"I knew what I meant, is that not enough?"
And the answer is "No, it is not enough, and that should have been obvious"

But no, it's because I don't have a profile pic?

You know, for being the most amazing thing in the universe, I am frequently disapointed by the human brain.

That has its own flaws in the "how to create a perfect AI if you are imperfect yourself" vein.

We don't get an easy answer, I think. Just each individual that cares to, have to properly try to actually be good people, whatever than even is.

But, perhaps we can develop technologies that facilitate making a better world that won't be turned by humanity against itself. I would not be so hubristic to state such is impossible.

To me it seems like you've been in a bad place in some ways, I think I am not someone you should be talking to about stuff like this ATM.

Could people copy plans into there posts instead of names? First of all it makes a pure bitch to find the plans if your busy and can only access your cell for short sessions.

Second it makes more likely your voting for the person and not the plan. Lastly it let's more people see the plan which means more ideas for edits that could improve the plan.

OK,finally back and I have to say it was nerve-wreaking going though so many pages. I might as well start this with an explanation and two apologies. the explanation is about what the arc is supposed to be. It's not supposed to be about making you guys into a paladin, but an acknowledgement that not everyone you meet is one of four things things:
  1. Idiot
  2. Demon
  3. Idiot demon
  4. Person waiting to join Team Viserys
That is the core of what this is about, not forcing you into moral choices, not making you choose the moral option

Now for the first apology, connected to the above, it's not only the thread that has been falling into patterns, it's me too, or rather it's me first. I made too many characters fit into the above categories. I justified the idea that Viserys is the only one with the Truth, I basically justified the disdain for everyone not willing to play ball with the thread. That's not the story I want to have. I want moral complexity and smart moral antagonists, I want making alliances to cost things and spark discussion.

This is a sharp right turn and I am genuinely sorry for everyone who did not enjoy the chapters @Snowfire @Crake @TotallyNotEvil @egoo @Artemis1992 I apologize for how this came off and I apologize for bringing the thread to such a state with my writing that moving it back to a better narrative register was so jarring and unplesant.

Honestly I didn't really have much of an issue with it but I generally just lurk in the background.

It isn't your fault man and don't get discouraged. Kind of wish you could put hug twice cause you seem to need it.
