They can be used as guard dogs in the PoF mine
Yeah, that would be a good locale for them.

They have Fire Resistance 10, so there should be various Plane of Fire areas comfortable for Cinder Wolf – d20PFSRD.

Molten Skies, the City of Brass, various places away from the worst of the heat, such as a mine bordering the Plane of Earth, etc.

They might even be native to the PoF.

I'm satisfied with that.

Also @Azel putting you on ignore is not a valid option for this quest as you're responsible for more than half the actions and plans in the quest.

They have a weird biology. They don't have full fire immunity, yet they have Fast Healing 3 when in fire.

Just have Viserys do this and have the guy keep it a secret because Viserys doesn't want to deal with people worrying about him or use a disguise and pretend to be an agent or something.

OK so after a PM conversation with @Azel I realized that this entire arc is not as engaging as I would have wanted it to be. I wanted this to be world-building to make the rest of the world feel as alive as say SD, to show the factions moving around you, but all I managed to do is give you more molehills to stomp so the narrative drags (as seen by the relatively low engagement in the planning). I think I know how to streamline this now.

I will endeavor to avoid filler from now, but I also have a request for you guys in general. When the narrative feels like it's dragging please tell me.

Huh, I thought it was looking to be pretty interesting myself. We've been planning to focus the majority of Viserys' attention on Old Town this month, so having multiple plot hooks seemed neat to me.

OK they have a family. Why are all families preventing them from fighting the apocalypse and gaining gold, glory and power (to use the most simplified motivations for 'adventuring')?
Fear of death,Prior comitments like being in the army or something, being well off enough not having to adventure. Being in debt like a mortage or something. Not skilled at martial activities, religious reasons,
Just not wanting to leave your loving family to risk death. I feel like most normal people dont want risk their lives for money espescally if they are getting by.
Just a few suggestions.

Even so I think I have been focusing on said hooks wrong since everything looks murky. I'm thinking of doing an ample informational post on the politics of Oldtown soon so you guys can make plans knowing more before acting

Thoughts?

Like,@DragonParadox I haven't found this arc dragging or disengaging at all. I've been enjoying it quite a lot, actually, seeing the world be alive around us. My burnout here and now is a result of feeling like I had to just gargle broken glass for what proved to be essentially nothing.

My hope is that rumours of Viserys Targaryen being in the city don't start. It would make the conclave so much of a pain that it isn't even funny. I know its a small chance of happening but man I hope it doesn't happen.

I see. I'll be more careful about discussions going on unproductively. There are a lot of suggestions I could have made IC if I had not started the interlude in the middle of it.
