@Crake, since you asked and @LonelyWolf999, since you mentioned Glorious Map Painting earlier.

On that note, @egoo, minor action for next turn:
[] Talk with a few other Westerosi lords you have strategic interest in:
-[] Maege Mormont of Bear Isle
-[] Roose Bolton of the Dreadfort
-[] Shella Went, last of her line, of Harrenhall
-[] William Mooten of Maidenpool

Instead of dividing the north cant we leave them the overlord but administrators loyal to us perform all function of governmence. So the basically become cerimonial heads. I feel like that would leave less hard feelings.

That looks much better.

@Azel, I take it to mean that "Western Dorne" is just done for organizational purposes, but still answers to Doran?

Edit:

And who's ruling from Dragonstone post-conquest?

Are we going to give it to Dany? Not that she seems that interested. Retain it to have an heir rule it as in tradition?

Bare minimum Dragonstone itself should remain a Targaryen holding.

I suppose Monford could rule over it, excepting our ancestral home.

Yes. Dorne stays a king-level title and Doran will still be Prince. The land itself is split up in two Ducal titles, Western Dorne and Eastern Dorne, but they are both under Doran.

How he wants to handle all of that internally is his cup of tea. Personally, I would set Arianne as the Duchess of Eastern Dorne and giving her some authority to learn the ropes before she inherits the whole shebang and make Quentyn the Duke of Western Dorne.

@Snowfire, @Azel Honestly, the biggest barrier here is, Viserys could say: "Your son seems more than smart, he seems erudite and I adore that. My City is a center of learning, and I myself am a bit of a scholar, and that besides so are many who serve me. He could do well here if you fostered him."

You know what Randyll could have done to Sam rather than say, something more sane (and useful politically, if nothing else)? Send him to the Citadel.

You know what he didn't do in canon, and likely still wouldn't? Send him to the Citadel. He sent him to the Wall, because he holds such interests in contempt. If he has to get rid of a coward of an heir, neither could he do it by making him take up the Chain, because "no son of mine will be a robed bookworm. He's going to freeze his ass off in a place where they will force a sword into his hand, one way or another, and if he runs away from that like he did in Horn Hill's practice yard, they'll fit him for a billet, a rope or a block."

Just say you'll teach him to be brave. It's the only thing compelling to Randy.
Couldn't we use Valaena as an example of what some attention from us can lead to? We don't need to reveal her identity, merely that in less than a year she's gained the power and experience to fight her way through the hundreds of competitors to make it to the finals of our tournament, all while being a female (and thus likely handicapped mentally, emotionally, and physically from Randyll's POV) and barely more than a child (14 years old).

[] Tinker further with Warforged and their creation.
-[] Artempt creating warfirged from various materials, including but no limiting to: Mitrhil, Adamantine, Steel, Bronze, Cold Iron, etc.
-[] Have divination involved, so that no flawed or pain-inducing vessel is created inadvertedly.
[] Forge of Creation. With Anu having finally restored the ritual necessary for creation of his kin, much may change... But for now, that is but a single ritual. To truly bring his people to life, something yet grander Is needed.
-[] Organise a magi-industrial complex capable of producing Warforged en-mass.
(Progress - 30)
@Duesal, @Goldfish, good enough?

It would probably leave more hard feeling since instead of being lesser but independent lords, the Starks would be ceremonial figureheads in that setup. Also, it would disgruntle the denser loyalists, since it looks as if the Starks weren't punished despite being part of the core traitors, and it would terrify the cleverer loyalists, since it sets precedent for a noble house being completely neutered in favor of the bureaucracy taking over all their duties.

Bad idea. "Even a girl is better than you."

Gimme a bit.

I definitely want to keep Dragonstone Keep for ourselves, though I'm less attached to Dragonstone Island as a whole.

Ultimately, I couldn't figure out a good name for that area, so it's nominally folded under Dragonstone for historic reasons.

No, it's just reckless endangerment. War crimes would involve use of chemical weapons where prohibition exist, and so far we have not attempted "literal inoculation" as a teaching method yet. :V

[X] Have Dany surreptitiously ward him against fear and take him to the Hall of Horrors alongside his father
-[X] After emerging, make a point of noting how grown men have often found it hard to view the exhibits within without flinching, and praise Samwell for his bravery.
-[X] Suggest that, given time here, he could learn to fight such things as those monsters from experts, indicating Richard and Waymar.
-[X] If his father appears sceptical, promise a full education worthy a lord of Westeros, fitting to the new world that is soon to come.
-[X] If successful, be sure to put aside time to talk to Samwell personally, before any training or study begins, so that you can explain that when you meant experts, you didn't necessarily mean Richard.

@Azel there. Done. Now tell me which Interlude you'd find interesting!

Actually, we used her in multiple combat missions, making her, by the additional protocols to the Geneva Convention, a child-soldier and thus us a war-criminal.

Then again, we're treating that treaty more as a kind of To-Do list...
