Yes. she isn't twitchy that way, murderous if provoked maybe but not likely to do so reflexively.

Shame we can't do something about the sun. (Rina)

And heat. (Rina)

Or get some nice chilled wine. (Oh hi Rina :V)

@Azel if she does also have a functioning brain, you might want to explain why existing dogma is so problematic.

Mmmmm.

If Rhllor did nothing else he would basically have a religious coup.

The old God's don't want worship, and are soon going to be red/on fire AND fire proof. Which means his worshippers will mentally file them under "powerful and alien spirits in service of the red god".

The 7 is going to be butt blasted by us, we're absolutely ripping through evil cults like a chainsaw...

This... Doesn't leave him with a lot of competition.

Brynden wasn't active in canon beyond his plots and all power is connected to the OGs.

No doubt he's cleverer than Mel, but in any neutral field that's not Brynden's throneroom she's more dangerous over short times.
What are you even smoking? Bloodraven can see the past and the future, control animals (for fighting, spying, or doing weird magic shit on people like Bran), come to people in dreams, and if show canon is to be believed he can even create stable time paradoxes like Hodor!

All of this is pure greenseer stuff, carried in the blood (see Bran). The trees bring longevity, and that's about it.

Meanwhile Melisandre can do obvious shadow babies (far less discreet then the genuine hunting accidents Bloodraven can do) and cast disguise self, and that's about it. The rest all seems to come from the Red God directly (see Thoros).

*wakes up*
*salt, arguments, people almost leaving the thread and Melisande pointedly not getting any closer to dying*

...okay, this is my point for salting.
I want her dead, and these diplomatic successes while awesome, are making me sorely unsatisfied with how we are going about.

I don't think ill ever be "okay" if we don't kill her.
Too much of an unknown, scheming, fanatical factor.
My paranoia would not take it
:/

That aside, @Azel, I fully support that write-up on titles.

Posting first part of the vote, in case people want to add to the spellwork. I frankly don't care, but others might.

Make a point of sitting with your group, but at the place closest to Mel. // What's coming might set her off something fierce, so we need to set up the stage. A stand-off in the desert can go off any second, but sitting around and talking raises her hesitation to fling spells at us. At the same time, we give her enough room to keep some degree of separation, but don't put her on point by seating her directly opposite of everyone. Viserys being close to her shows both interest and prevents the image of a king holding court against her. The whole "cutting yourself off"-thing is calculated. It makes this looks more spontaneous instead of a very calculated move.

@egoo while there is no one in the thread that doesn't want her dead we kinda have to play diplomatic. Plus let's keep this train rolling because who knows maybe she will say something that pisses Viserys off mighty.

Protect herself from poison, is a sufficiently good diviner to foil any attempts on her life so far and set a warg-bird on fire by looking at it.

While all of Brynden's tricks seem to come from the dreamseer-tree-network, having shown no tricks of his own that are unrelated to the OG-hivemind.

[X] Azel
@Azel, I'm sorry, but I really hope she goes off the short end due to your speech.

I already realise that we are very likely to actually succeed here, and I am filled with salt for that, but I appreciate the attempt to fuck up her PoV so fierce she might turn a bit sane from that.

If the majority of the thread wants to kill Mel, why the hell are we not voting for it?

Seriously, I have seen the sentiment of wanting her dead very often by now, why are you all voting for the diplomatic option?
Is everyone convinced we are not enough?

Bread and salt maybe? We also might literally just go somewhere less... Terrible?

Like Lyas magnificent mansion.

She should know we keep to the old God's, guest right, and bread and salt would keep her safe if she doesn't try to attack us.

We could also use... Does our staff ave pant growth on it?

I'm fine with her. If you guys want to kill her because she did bad stuff in the show...

I'm suddenly glad this isn't a democracy.

Edit:

It's less that and more who Viserys is. He's by nature a diplomatic person and IC she has done no harm to anyone that we know of so to go on a raving murder rampage would be OOC at best.

Because in the event that we can actually secure the 100% loyalty to us that both @Azel and @Snowfire have stated is their goal here -- to the point where it's either that or we kill Melisandre with no middle ground -- then I can swallow my urge for murder and grudgingly use the powerful PC.

Also I want the satisfaction of not starting the fight if it comes to a fight. If she strikes the first blow it'll be a lot more satisfying.
