Just bear in mind that part of the reason DoDA was so difficult was because the QM didn't judge the effects of dice rolls properly, causing (for example) a single crit fail to undo the benefits of multiple prior crit successes, and similar. I would hope you don't repeat the same mistake.
Don't worry, I'm trying to keep things fair here. I don't want you guys to lose either! It just wouldn't be a memorable quest without some struggles and challenges.
So remember we can always drop the mountain on them. Get our Diamond Dogs to dig tunnels fill those tunnels with explosives lure in the army and rock slides, avalanches, and heavy firepower should even the odds a bit.
And we can still light everything on fire with shroomshine.
*Glare* Did you say genocide? Against the Caribou? I heartily agree and support it....
But in all seriousness I hope they dont exist... I hate how popular that seems to have gotten on Fimfic...
[X] The War Wolves: A recently founded mercenary outfit that's attracted a lot of attention for being composed entirely of Diamond Dogs. They've built a reputation for reliability and tenacity, using their natural aptitude for digging to build pit traps and collapse the dens of monsters. They're no slouches in straight combat either, and seem to have perfected the art of rapid fortification. (Numbers: 500 Diamond Dogs) Cost: 200 Gold
[X] The Crimson Company: One of the most (in)famous mercenary companies of the Northern Mountains, the warriors of the Crimson Company fly into battle with nothing but steel claws and a coating of war-paint. Almost suicidally brave and determined to win glory in battle or die trying, their lack of armour gives them a significant speed advantage over most opponents. (Numbers: 500 Gryphon Berserkers) Cost: 300 Gold
Anywho, just remember that mountain dropping, even without D-dogs(that really needs to be the name of our elite diamond dog troops), is a thing we can do with like 14th century irl tech.

rock slides and avalanches will do nicely we should hold them in a choke point in a pass with are main army and have the yaaks strike from behind and box them in if we can then we bring down the mountain on them. However this works both ways with sombra might be able to shoot entire columns of are soldiers down with magic blasts.
So I got bored and made some flag variations for our little kingdom if anyone wants to look at them.
Just to note I made these with an app and am no artist so I cant really make changes out of changing the color, using a selection of symbols, and some other things
Symbolism(based on the griffins point of view)
Grey- Our races practicality and durability
Red-The sacrifices made by our people to get to this point
Black-The death and disaster that surrounds our people and the determination to see through it to the end.
Gold-The hope that Griffins had always for a better future, Ingenuity, (future) wealth, and the heroism that occurred to get to this point.

You know our previous paranoia about that lass we met and the Aquilia spymaster being Changelings, well we best hope that truly is the case, because they likely have a vested interest in insuring Sombra isn't triumphant. Let's face it, we need all the help we can get, no matter the source. I honestly would consider it if even Grogar offered some assistance against Sombra.
So, we can keep calling ourselves the Gryphonnian Empire as long as we want, but if we start becoming more multicultural, IE dogs, yaks, redeemed changelings, and anyone else we pick up with, at what point do we stop calling ourselves solely gryphon? We already have a dragon third in line for the throne.

We dont we will always be Gryphonnian Empire you dont change names just because you have more people who are different thats not a thing that happens perfect examples look and Rome or even Alexander the great they didnt change their names despite who the conquered. Plus im pretty sure we will just piss off every gryphon in our empire if we do.

The Name is the Empire of Gryphus not the Gryphonnian Empire. And Again we have that name because the area we formed it from is called Gryphus. Raptor is correct getting more people will not change our name. No Empire has ever switched names because they added more and different peoples to themselves.

The Austrians were, at various times, Austrians, Austrio-Hungarians, Holy Roman Imperials, and Hapsburg Monarchists, depending on how they were doing. The English called their empire Britain after integrating Scotland, the Castillians Spain after integrating Aragon. It's not unprecedented.
