OOC: And here's everyone's 'favorite character' Littlefinger. I'm sure you guys are going to play nice, right?

I thought Lord Estermont was the Master of Laws when I asked late December?

It doesn't change the situation much at all, besides the potential for Littlefinger to have had the last Master of Coin assassinated so he could get the job, but I just wanted to check up on that.

He was and then Cersei decided to Cersei and fucked that up.

Edit: Oh I see what you mean now.

Tarrangar - what is even the point? What possible reason could we have to do this?
It would get us Ned fully onboard with us, he wont oppose us anyway, but doing this will mean that he will actively support us, instead of just not opposing us.

And I personally have no grudge against Robert, he needs to be dethroned as the Iron Throne is ours, but beyond that I don't care about hurting him, which mean if sparing him or giving him a warriors death, will buy the loyalty of someone else, then I'm 100% for that.

There must have been a mix up then. I have him as coin in my notes.
They're native Psionists with access to corrupting materials with a vested interest in experimenting with new brain meats in the kitchen and in "managing" the flock.

This of course means that Bobby B was replaced by a Beakman infiltrator who's riding around in his brain meats (which explains why we haven't seen him sallying forth to fight demons nor devils). The only reason this hasn't be noticed and declared upon is because Jon 'Otherwise' Hawkman, Petyr 'Montebank Lord of the Third' Baelish, and Varys 'Lolth's Get' all benefit from the squid piloting around the flesh suit. This includes occasionally hiring said squids for various projects like asset retrieval and wildfire relocation assessment.

The Master of Laws, per word of DP Eldon Estermont aka Grandfather of Bobby B, has even odds of being the true power behind the Beak Throne or being in thrall to said Beak. One in five odds for both at the same time.

And here's where he mentions that conversation.

While I'm onboard with resurrecting Lyanna, I am against doing it for Robert's sake. We've met Lyanna's ghost, she's made her disdain for the man abundantly clear. How do you think us of all people -- someone who she already holds irrational hatred towards -- promising her to the man she ran away from out of disgust will go?
I didn't say we would promise her to him, merely promise him that we will revive her, if he wants her, then he has to woo her himself, their betrothal ended at her death, we can revive her so he has a chance at charming her, but the charming he will have to do himself.

I think I'm going to do an interlude next if you guys don't mind. Necessary though these exposition champers may be they are pretty hard to write (as shown with me doubling the master of laws position). I'm thinking of doing that Amrelath chapter you guys wanted.

This is nearly as pleasing as a Malarys chapter.

But to be frank, nothing pleases me more than a Malarys chapter.

With a shake of her head Chataya dismisses the words. "He is worse than that. The man had been buying out brothels wherever he can. Where silver alone will not suffice he uses the gold cloaks like thugs... more like thugs than usual that is. He thinks it's a safe bet you see, everyone whores from king to pauper, and even the maesters and septons who aught not do it. But he cares less for those poor girls than a horse breeder for his stock. After all, he can always find more where they came from and sweep the ones who are no longer of any use right back onto the streets."

"And the 'ever honorable' Jon Arryn gave that man power over the finances of the realm?" you ask, disgusted. Truth be told your resentment for the Lord of the Eyrie for chasing you out of Braavos had long since petered out, leaving behind only the cold calculation that demands that he, unlike the Starks, be removed from high lordship. Now you think you will be taking more satisfaction in the deed.

Oh, I see the beginning of a wonderful friendship...

Oh right I forgot that Viserys has a great deal of respect for sex workers and would be pissed with Littlefinger's "practices"
He in general has a great deal of respect for workers, whether that work is seen as respectable or not, he would be just as pissed, if he heard Littlefinger exploited other poor people, such as hearing of Littlefinger running terribly unsafe factories, and just throwing the crippled/broken workers out on the street, once they can't work anymore.

Just wanted to point out that Viserys has no particular respect for sex workers, he merely has no disrespect for them, and he severely dislikes any exploitative employers.

It's honestly great that we started this now. Arriving just in time to help Littlefinger get his operations started is tremendously advantageous for us.

We can bleed Westeros dry.

Along with the fact that the Iron Bank is firmly in our pocket now, so Robert and Littlefinger can't use them for loans unless we want them to.

That's not quite accurate. He feels a bit more protective of them of them than most because of how badly they are treated in many places.

Robert's been limiting his tourneys and other expensive habits in favor of training, I doubt he's going to rack up much of a debt here, unless of course he get the opportunity to buy a dragon-slaying weapon, then he will rack up as much debt as necessary to buy it.

Standing armies and rebuilding navies (twice) are very expensive. I can easily see Robert overspending on that instead.
