May I ask what the point of getting bards is? I know the Lyre is ridiculously OP but that cant be the only reason can it? Are we planning on making a College of Bards?
We are crafting four Lyre of Building equivalents this month and need skilled Bards to use them properly. Each Lyre dramatically reduces the price and time needed for infrastructure upgrades. It makes it well worth the expense of hiring Bards and crafting the Lyres.

-[X] We will pay 500 IM (or the equivalent) for the remains of each Evil humanoid shapechanger.
why evil?

The reagent doesn't need that and we can't check anyway.
Obviously anything they give us will have been harvested in accordance to the local law, meaning no murder to get it. Or they outsmarted the authorities here, which makes it it even less likely we'd find out about the ashes coming from a nice guy.

Appearances. We're in the city ruled by Chaotic Good Outsiders. We can at least pay lip service to their scruples. Once the hunters are out and looking for humanoid shapeshifters, well, that's their problem.

That depend on the type of interlude, when we get interludes from characters not working for us, it often cause a lot of discussion.
WHY DIDN'T WE FUCKING KILL THE FUCKING LANNISTER WITCH??? ARGH!!! SCRY AND DIE!!! FUCK!!!
[I'm still pissed we didn't even try. It definitely slowed the escalation, but I wish we'd done a proper Scry-and-Die on someone!]

Will have to disagree there, I like Lanna and hope we can make her work for us, after we have conquered Westeros.

Now Lucan I would like to do Scry and die on, except I would rather it be Scry and capture, because it would please the old gods if we bled him before a Heart Tree.

She gets one chance. One warning. If she throws away her shot then she dies. We have a pact?

This gives the appearance of "we are okay with random killing as long as the target shows Evil on a detect spell".
Not at all a good impression.
Remember that the ruler from here had a rather low opinion on our trophies?

I assume the best way of getting the ashes without moral issues would be to try and get the corpse of a shapeshifter that died for other reasons than being hunted for his ashes.
That's the good way, though also a slow one.

A lot of reasons, and believe it or not, it's not just "Because the thread's gotta have their pokemans!!" We've had this discussion multiple times.

We have and each time the reasons were found wanting almost every time. A ruler for Lannisport? We can put an administrator there with our full backing. Pet mage? We have hundreds coming up in the future.

However I dont hate her so a compromise, a pact if you will. She gets one shot to abandon her course and come to our side. She does this and she can live. Her family will get to live regardless of her choice. I have no qualms over killing her or sparing her. Killing is just easier in all honesty.

[sigh]
I know, I know. I just disagreed with those reasons at the time. We never even had a vote on it!
I'm pretty sure I'd have been outvoted anyway though, so whatever. Not a huge issue. I'm not actually super salty about it. I usually don't even think about that anymore, really.

Not really, I'm certainly prepared to kill her, don't even need to give her a warning, but considering how easy resurrection is, I would like to give her a second chance after we have already conquered Westeros, with the culture of Westeros being what it is, surrendering before we have won would be shameful for her, and something she's conditioned to avoid, but conversely negotiating terms of service after losing is encouraged, so I would like to try negotiating with her after we are king of Westeros, even if we had to kill her during the war.

But I will never advocate not taking a chance at killing her once the war start, I will just advocate holding onto her corpse, so we can resurrect her after the war ends, if divination show she's likely to agree to work for us.

We already had this discussion before.

We are going to ground Lannister house to dust.
Sure, people will live, but holdings will be taken, castles raised to the ground, and all memory of their name erased.

Would she and her husband want to work with someone who will do that to their 'family'?
I really don't think so.

She gets a warning not to stand in our way in any shape or form. If she does, we are hunting her down and killing her. And sure, we can also make resurrecting her all but impossible for mortals if we get the body via Rest Eternal and then destroying the body...
But why risk it?
For what? Someone who will very likely keep a grudge? A very powerful someone with a grudge against us?

Unless she surrenders, I'm going to vote for permadeath.

"If they bend you help them up. If they don't bend why help them at all" is my stance on the matter. In all honesty I dont care about Lanna. Killing her and leaving her is just easier then recruiting her, at least from how I see it. Also "negotiations" with her, if we do decide to bring her back, better boil down to "you work for me now". No concessions, no putting the Lannisters back in power, no reparations. I refuse to support anything else than this as the maximum. I imagine that I am being quite reasonable here.

And I have said I disagree, I'm allowed to have a different opinion from you, and my opinion is, that she's smart enough that as long as we don't become downright cruel, once the war is over she will see opposing us isn't worth it.

House Lannister is dust. Nothing will stop that. They wanna be nobles? Welcome to the new world order.

Want to be a Lannister still? Enjoy your proud noble heritage?

Dust.
