For one, she likes us.

Two, virtually anyone else would literally kill and dismember her. As they have done for thousands of years to fire whales.

We are the one person to not only give a shit but to do something about it.

I highly doubt she will be pushing terms for 90% of the profits.
Yeah she wont, you already convinced me 50-50 is a fair split, we were just saying, that even if she might agree, we don't want to gouge the Whales by demanding 90% of the profits.

Most people seem to have settled on 50-50 being the fairest split at this point.

Personally I believe we should charge 50% at the harvesting stations, and have an additional 20% charge, if a pod is asking us to send the harvesters to them.

...

Strange idea.

Use the Shadowrun ruleset to run a game in the distant future.

SD has become a megacity covering the entire island and some districts even built out into the sea.

Make custom mage traditions to represent the different D&D classes.

Viserys serves as the Dunkelzahn and Lofwyr of the setting at the same time.

I would play that.:)

Let's be honest, 70-30 in our favor would still be a fair split.
We are doing literally all the work, and we will be forced to eventually dip into our own money to keep the operations going.

We should make at least some profit from this thing, otherwise it's just a waste of time.
Getting even on helping other whales doesn't help us, moral satisfaction aside.

Nor do they need this money, seing as we are already gearing them up as a part of the whole operation, and they can't use money otherwise, even if to buy food.

Um no we wont, even at 10% we would be getting profits, at 50% we will be getting massive profits, why do you think we will have to dip into our own money? Is it because of Azel's theory that the gems will lose their worth? Because that theory is incorrect, at most they might halve in worth, but they are magical reagents, so they will never stop being valuable.

And they will be paying for the gear, that's what they will be spending their half of the money on.

We are going to see massive profits from this, I don't know why you think otherwise.

Roll20? I'm down.

Edit: On second thought though, a Shadowrun campaign, especially one on the internet, would probably take a literal century to start and play through...

Depending on how bad my urge to meddle with the system gets, I could get started DMing in a week or two and play every two weeks.

Also, what about the D&D session with @Duesal and you? Did I miss the podcast and / or AAR?

I could do a write-up for the first session (it was pretty much just memes, but I can run with that), but I think he's really busy with RL right now. We meet every Sunday.

Right now we decided to run a Gloomhaven game at least until my Roommate reads up on Starfinder. He really wants to rework an earlier campaign. (Laziness!)

We've had a combination of bad luck with our roads getting iced over and the fact that my college just started up again, so I haven't had the chance to go for the last two weeks. :(

I've heard some bad things about Starfinder.

...I would have loved to play a quest in Shadowrun-esque future of ASwaH, but I don't think I'll be up for an actual game :C
Would you guys mind posting notes on what happens, if you do end up playing it?

I'll play if I can be a Technomancer (Aethermancer?) slash Rigger (Tinkerer?) surfing through the Aethernet/sphere and posting dank memes about our adventures.

Anything that doesn't require a webcam then (don't have one). Discord?
If that's not possible, then I guess I'll join egoo in the ranks of the "waiting for gamertales"

Discord is fine, and I think he is referencing "Play-By-Post" with the typical forum style of it possibly taking days or weeks for a user to move through stuff (in a rather unintuitive manner) over a board. Edit: Or via email.

If we play Shadowrun, it has to be over some kind of game mat application like Roll 20 or similar. There's just too much going on.

No.

SR 5th Edition is an abomination that deserves to be purged from history.

Personally, I would rather mod 3E a bit. And call it Shadowfinder.

I'm really not sure if Play-by-Post would work that well with SR. Combat could take forever.
Not a fan of 5th, either, but only ever played 4th. Barely familiar with 3E SR rules, but I can do some reading if necessary.

Play by post would work better for me just because of my schedule, though I'm game to try something more conventional.

Yeah, it just wouldn't work if you don't play conventionally. Normal Shadowrun takes a while to get going unless you're like @Azel and an oldhat at it. And even then you have to do like literally a bunch of reading for the relevant bits to your character. Pray for the DM.

Play-By-Post would make a century into a millennium. At least two long sessions a month could hypothetically complete one or two runs, depending on if it is Street Level or not.
