Because even as I was archive binging I was going, "Wow there is just nothing but winning here. Either normal win, or overkill win."

Which has its place, but one of my favorite twists was Palpatine finding a way to both tax us, and force us to appear an enemy to the Separatists instead of neutral. I thought that was a fantastic Magnificent Bastard moment of using our own agenda and principles against us.

Worthy foes make for great stories.
You make a great point, and I will admit to hoping this turns into a full war, myself.

For those of you complaining about how victory seems to be handed to you on a silver platter, I fully blame the dice. Because...fuck.

Militia: Rolled 58 + 15 + 20 = 93
Paramilitary: Rolled 5 + 10 + 20 + 19 = 54
Obi-Wan: Rolled 98 + 20 + 20 = 138 (Now I have to figure out what the fuck that even means)
Shards: Rolled 32 + 20 + 20 = 72
Ysanna: Rolled 96 + 20 + 20 = 136 (I'm pretty sure Ciaran is the Devil incarnate at this point. How does that even happen)
Vos: Rolled 20 + 15 + 20 + 14 + 6 = 85
Honoghr: Rolled 3 + 20 + 20 + 44 = 87
Interdictors: Rolled 89 + 10 + 20 = 119 (Spoilers: You're getting a one-of a kind Super Prototype because Raith loves that sort of thing.)
Salvagers: Rolled 20 + 10 + 20 = 50
Paponoida: Rolled NATURAL GODDAMNED 100 + 10 + 20 = 130 (what)
Shu Mai: Rolled 68 + 10 + 20 + 15 + 12 = 125 (Yep. Yeeeeeeppppp.)
Coruscant Moon: Rolled 19 + 20 + 20 + 14 = 73
Hunter-Seekers: Rolled 25 + 20 + 20 = 65 (I don't know what I would have done had that critted.)
Armand: Rolled 74 + 20 + 20 + 15 = 129 (...Why. Whhhyyyyyy)
Disciples of Twilight: Rolled 94 + 20 + 20 = 134 (There you go Barondoctor, both you and Publicola have caught your white whales. Happy now?)
Alliston Nor: Rolled 56 + 20 + 20 = 96
Jebble Box: Rolled 22 + 20 + 20 + 13 = 73
Non-Human Genemods: Rolled 19 + 30 + 20 = 69
Taozin: Rolled 94 + 20 + 20 + 18 = 152 (....................)
Padme: Rolled 92 (Because why the fuck not)
Talzin: Rolled 20 + 15 + 20 + 44 + 14 + 10 = 113 (I'm so happy you guys put Ciaran and Asajj together on this in all sincerity.)
Genemod: Rolled 37 + 25 + 20 = 82 (...Sorry. No Force-Sensitive Thrawn for you barring a reroll.)
Thrawn: Rolled 31 + 15 + 20 + 41 + 4 = 111 (Interesting...)
HK-47: Rolled 55 + 20 + 20 + 17 = 112 (Of course this crits the same time the Taozin thing does. Of fucking course.)
Mungo: Rolled 22 + 10 + 20 + 30 = 87

...You have two rerolls.

Vote on 'em.

Other rolls will come afterwards.

...

DIFFICULTY WHAT IS THAT I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE EVERY TIME I TRY TO MAKE THINGS DIFFICULT THIS KEEPS HAPPENING

WHY IS IT THAT THIS HAPPENS

THE WRITER PART OF MY BRAIN LOVES IT BECAUSE THERE'S SO MUCH COOL STUFF TO WRITE

BUT THE QM PART OF MY BRAIN HATES IT BECAUSE THE ROLLS THAT CRIT ARE ALWAYS SO GOOD FOR YOU

ARRRRGGGHHHH

Well shit. I wanna vote Talzin, cause that'd be the most interesting. But...we do have other things that could use the rerolls. It is already a supercrit, but it could be so much more.

Also I guess Honoghr, since that was a ??? and we want to do well there.

Also could reroll for Force-Senstive Thrawn, since that would be the gift that gives on giving.

There's the Paramilitary but we made sure we hit that one, right? Doesn't seem critical, if it's good enough as is.

Genemod: Rolled 37 + 25 + 20 = 82 (...Sorry. No Force-Sensitive Thrawn for you barring a reroll.)
. . .

[X} Reroll Genemod

It's the obvious choice!

Also;

[X] Reroll Paramilitary

Mostly voting for this because I just refamiliarized myself with the Starfighter games and want to increase the chance of getting Nym to pitch in.

You have a point about Talzin, but it already critted, sooo... I dunno.

*squints*

I feel like this turn was actually worse than usual.

Paramilitary: Rolled 5 + 10 + 20 + 19 = 54

So, paramilitary was fairly low. It's an option that has repercussions across CNS space. So might be valuable

Vos: Rolled 20 + 15 + 20 + 14 + 6 = 85

Vos not being properly taken in could be a big problem. We want to wow him.

Honoghr: Rolled 3 + 20 + 20 + 44 = 87

Honoghr was the lowest roll this turn, I think.

Coruscant Moon: Rolled 19 + 20 + 20 + 14 = 73

Coruscant Moon is a direct anti-palpatine action after giving the project time to dig in. A crit here is a blow against Palpatine, and would probably either let us steal stuff, or give us follow ups.

Jebble Box: Rolled 22 + 20 + 20 + 13 = 73

There was a lot of talk about this, so it being so mediocre is mildly concerning.

Genemod: Rolled 37 + 25 + 20 = 82

People will be tempted here. I just know it...

...You have two rerolls.
YES. All successes, and now we get to decide what to spend them on.

Here are our options:
Paramilitary: Rolled 5 + 10 + 20 + 19 = 54
Our second-lowest roll, and we have a 49% chance of crit-ing it if we reroll.

Vos: Rolled 20 + 15 + 20 + 14 + 6 = 85
Not terrible, but we have a 55% chance of a crit (and Quinlan Vos is a potential Hero Unit) if we reroll.

Honoghr: Rolled 3 + 20 + 20 + 44 = 87
Our lowest roll, and we have a 84% chance of crit-ing it with a reroll. This one should definitely be one of the two rerolls.

Non-Human Genemods: Rolled 19 + 30 + 20 = 69
Not terrible (a normal success), and not a strong upside with a reroll. Still: 50% chance of crit if we do.

Talzin: Rolled 20 + 15 + 20 + 44 + 14 + 10 = 113 (I'm so happy you guys put Ciaran and Asajj together on this in all sincerity.)
Okay, so we got a crit here (by the way @Dr. Snark, the result should be 123), but that's with a +103 to the roll. We have a pretty good chance of breaking the bank if we decide to reroll this one.

Mungo: Rolled 22 + 10 + 20 + 30 = 87
Also not terrible, but we have a 60% chance of crit (with the possibility of instantly acquiring a massive ship-building corporation) if we reroll it.

EDIT: forgot to mention...
Jebble Box: Rolled 22 + 20 + 20 + 13 = 73
It's a standard-grade success, but the Jebble Box is potentially troublesome (Jedi Shadow coming out of stasis, carrying a Sith amulet that started the rakghoul plague) so we may want to reroll for the 53% chance of crit.

Genemod: Rolled 37 + 25 + 20 = 82 (...Sorry. No Force-Sensitive Thrawn for you barring a reroll.)
...45% chance of crit = 45% chance of Force-sensitive Thrawn with a gift for precognition.

Honoghr is definitely locked in. I'm not sure if I'd prefer to reroll the Mother Talzin or the Quinlan Vos action for our second one.

While my mind's on it: a general announcement that if there are any would-be ship designers in the audience, I'm putting out an active request for a design for Raith's Super Interdictor (don't worry, the real thing will have a much cooler name). I'm legitimately not sure what that ship would look like right this second so I'd love to see some concepts for it!

I know, I know it's just...narratively, such a team-up and roll feels like it should be so much more.

Do not worry my friend. No matter what the roll will be...it will be awesome. You have no idea how happy I am for the fact that I get to have Ciaran and Asajj back-to-back for that.

Oh yeah, I forgot something.

How long has it been since we got a Nat 100?

NEVER

YOU'VE NEVER EVER GOTTEN A NAT 100

AT LEAST NOT WHILE I'VE BEEN RUNNING THIS

I THINK IT HAPPENED ONCE DURING TERON'S TENURE

Channel that feeling for Palpatine when he realizes that suddenly, in the field of propaganda where he has been dominant for so long, Ciaran is popping up out of nowhere as a major force there as well.

Ahhh, excellent!

I feel that even if practically, it was not our best choice, this was ultimately the right decision. Especially if you're taking such clear glee at the prospect of writing it.

...Still wanna see your reaction if we break 200.

I say we reroll the Genemod for Thrawn, and the Hunter Seekers.

[x] Reroll Genemod
[x] Reroll Hunter-Seekers

[X] Honoghr
[X] Genemod

A crit at Honoghr might do interesting things. And a force sensitive Thrawn is just too OP to pass up. I might be convinced to switch Genemod to Vos, just because we really should be subverting allies if we can. 55% for a crit might be valuable.

Guys, just a reminder that I'm going to need your votes in the usual [] format otherwise I'll have no idea which ones you actually want rerolled. At least, not without a lot more work on my end.

I'd rather not have Vos as a hero unit: he is still loyal to the Council, and with his psychometry it will be almost impossible to hide stuff from him.
Edit: I am convinced.
[X] Reroll Vos
[X] Reroll Honoghr

Blowing up Palpatine's shit really well and ruining his trap both seem like good things that we should do even better.

Honestly? My biggest concern is that since Palpatine is clearly taking shots at us, this could be a 90+ DC. Cause y'know, that's kind of what personal attention from Darth Sideous should get you. Much like how Ciaran's personal attention is OP.

We should definitely reroll the 3 and I recommend rerolling the moon action. That's important.

At least put a formal vote for Honoghr then.
