I think of the media options the one that emphasizes Family and Team is best for us. We want our cute AI to bond well!
For Kaijiu tech, the slower option is safer since we only have the one sample. Can't afford wasting any.
For the rest...we have a demo winding up, so taking the robot fight + interface options should give us the best demo. Should get extra RP out of that than the helipad
Then I stuff in one investigation with the last RP.

Empowering a manmade giant robot with the human emotions of willpower and bravery, he wanders the galaxy righting wrongs and fighting injustice where he finds them.

The fact that nobody picked the GaoGaiGar shout out annoys me. Allow me to fix that. Yes, it's basically Psychic Powas with a different movie regimen. Don't care, GGG needs more love.

Very true.
However, the fact finding missions don't even come close to what the actual intelligence agencies do. I justify it as sending your agents to get first hand accounts and information, and not just reports that's passed through millions of editing hands. That, and if I'm honest, there's always a chance for some interesting plothooks to happen this way.
Also: even GGG had its own fact finding agents. GGG. Nevermind the fact it was a ninja police car robot with utterly hax abilities.
Otherwise, tomorrow is looking to be something of an absolutely crazy day for me. So while I can call the vote in the middle of the day, it's anyone's guess if the update comes tomorrow or day after. Apologies in advance!

I'd suggest watching it (but be careful as is one of those old shows with a lot of FLASHING LIGHTS), and while it might have been Shounen (so yeah, kind of for kids) I've heard that the show gets pretty freaking dark in it's last few episodes.
Like, both main characters fight each other in two GaoGaiGar Mechs over differing ideologies dark. (Note: I haven't seen all of it either, only like up to half of episode two because the flashing lights started making my eyes hurt, so most of my knowledge comes from SRW)

Yes. But it's by far the most popular and well known, the only Brave series (so far) with an official release, and the one more explicitly referenced by the vote. Honestly, this setup a mix of J-Decker and GaoGaiGar.

No. The original series is pretty light and straightforward. Some heroic sacrifices get made, but not too bad. It gets a bit more serious in the second half of the series.
The FINAL OVA is probably what you are thinking of. That does get pretty dark. That set up you mentioned, it's between the main pilot and the kid hero.

As mentioned, GaoGaiGar FINAL is where the tone shifted quite a bit. That said, even with the darker tone (I think as an attempt to appeal to older audiences), it manages to go spectacularly over the top.
That said, I prefer the original Series.

Are you thinking of Nadesico? It was a more real robot show, but a lot of characters were fans of a Getter Robo-like show in-universe.

RE GaoGaiGar: It started pretty as a toyetic monster of the week show, with new machines added every episode to drive sales (Looking at you carpenters) and kinda went off the rails at the final of the first arc and escalated from there. It was still full of 80's super robot cheesiness ('The power of THE POWER!' being my favorite), but if you want a robot show with hotblooded declrations of how courage will prevail and escalating set pieces then GGG is for you.
