Theatrics can be found in what you have Viserys say. It is beyond cheesy to read. Not mechanics cheese, but cheesy spechwriting. Sorry, it just really seems ooc for the focused combatant that we try to not have talk in combat.
Lya might need the XP, but she's also extremely low on spells and the most fragile of our nearby Companions. If the cultist is able to get off even a single spell, and it strikes Lya fatally, she'll be set back much further in XP gain.

Lya death is always a risk, from any spell, regardless of spells available and if we don't push her XP, then she won't get it. Your reasoning makes no sense to me, her offense is low, but her defense is what it always is. Risk can not be avoided, only mitigated.

We have more to worry about him fleeing than loosing a party member, Viserys does not need to be dragon, unless you think that it's worth the extra round for others to buff/move?

Hell, just be sure to add in "use wings of cover to prevent save or dies from mage"

Also, I think that greater Teleport can put Richard right beside the Mage's square ;).

Orrrr, hear me out, we say "excuse us, we will be back in a minute" and make everyone wait for a minute so Viserys can leverage his social skills to make the magic less awful looking to the muggels rather than leave Lya to do it alone. The demonstration is on how to get the OG's blessings, not something time sensitive.

I see no reason to leave Lya here, and a large reason to bring her (wizard needs XP badly!)

I also am happy about the fact that the bombastic timewasting speech is out. Mainly as it was cheesy. Painfully so.

One big thing, Greater Teleport allows perfect precision. Just teleport so that Richard is beside the mage, no need for anklets. Maybe also say to the party "hostile mage, teleport capable", look to Richard, "we'll precision jump to his location for capture" (as that indicates that Richard is to melee as soon as he arrives).

Just an idea. Also. Dany does not have psyscic creature template anymore and her page does not list her hote hp bonus.

Edit: very happy btw, am very much pushing for lya to get max XP asap, whenever possible. Also, general question, why did we not use telapathic bond between teams in the invasion? Or our crow chain of eyes spell?

Edit edit: Lya should wear the +3 ring of resistance we have (unless it's preceded by persistomancy).

Lya has 5,000 XP just waiting to be claimed the second she steps foot in Sothoryos. We're fine for XP.

In the future we can bring her along for CR appropriate encounters. But this? This isn't a fight. This is sacrifice harvesting.

And loot. I'm a bit annoyed with Viserys for not instantly noticing and cataloguing the loot, but yes, there shall be loot. DP told us this guy was properly equipped. I foresee talismans of protection.

A minute long delay on a demonstration to stick a dude in a bottle and grab a trauma victim so she's not on her own. "One last foe shows himself" is painful to read, and regarding no warning: "He commands the Legion soldiers present to maintain order, and loudly announces that he will return shortly" also, pronuncement of date could be a deal breaker for if he has bead of newt prevention (having divined Viserys' methods) and lots of other buffing items[/B]

There's also the fact that it'll get Lya an utterly insignificant amount of XP.

Just keep an eye out for opportunities of actual fights rather than bagging someone multiple levels below the average party member.

You are arguing to spontaneously leave our blood sacrifice to go away for a bit while the military keeps order. For what? For a piddly bit of XP for Lya? Because @Goldfish plan is capturing Rogar fice times over without involving her.
 
@BeepSmile, just wait for Sothoryos. Lya's going to come along for that. Between the 5,000 XP quest reward for getting to Sothoryos and the CR appropriate encounter DP promised us (fingers crossed for dragons) she'll get plenty of XP to level up.
