IIRC, learning Battlespells from Colleges requires some sort of a commitment and servitude, so rushing that might results in undesirable gameplay changes.

Or Weber could try to create some of her own. Upscaling some of Magic 3 and 5 spells, maybe.

[X] Open a correspondence between Belegar and Karaz-a-Karak to see if the Dwarven capital can contribute any further to the campaign.

We should still play messenger considering we are the best at the job. The more opportunity Belegar has to convince Karaz-a-Karak the better off the campaign will be. It will also free up our cavalry to focus on scouting instead of playing messenger. We can also store the book in some secure dwarven vaults for the duration of the campaign.

As boring as it is, I say that we should focus on scouting for the moment.
We're going to march an army through these territories and that's not to mention the camp followers, who tend to be even more numerous than the army itself.
The roads and planned camp spots need to be checked before we can get this show on the road.

Edit: After consideration and the wisdom of some posters, I agree that we'd better focus on the unique things we can do, such as leading the journeymen.

wow, we've already contributed massively to this campaign. More so than almost any other individual.

While sure, some of those forces might have showed up later as reinforcements or not, we enabled a massive growth in army size.

- I've added an informational threadmark containing the full forces of the Expedition and who is responsible for what.[/SPOILER]

Journeyman Jade Wizard missing from expedition info sheet.

[X] Plan: Leader of Magic Men.

Either this or opening up correspondence, now that we're on the road we need to familiarize with our underlings first before even trying to work together with other people.

But you guys voted to lead the magic men. I say we do our duty. It will increase our network in regards to the college and help in our self proclaimed role as senior Wizard.

By the way anyone knows what dangers we might face on the road? I wasn't exactly a Warhammer Fantasy fan before this quest.

EDIT: I'm guessing bandits and Greenskins but idk much more

For everyone who says we should help with scouting, you are correct it's vital and something we can be extremely helpful with. However, it's our job to coordinate our magic users something only we can do and before we meet with them we have no idea what we are actually working with. Not only that but we're still in close to friendly territory the further we go the more important scouting will become we need to get these essentials out of the way before the rigors of the campaign consume all our attention.

Bandits, Greenskins, and Beastmen, mostly, since we're marching through wilderness.

Beastmen are implied to be near every populace of the Empire in sufficient quantity to quickly find and rescue children abandoned for being born Beastmen.

We just massively contributed to the campaign, now let's take a moment to get to know those who we represent. We seriously need to know how experienced and what their capabilities are.

The other leaders can handle most things, but only we are really informed on the function of wizards and getting to know the other council members can come after we're up to date on our own underlings.

Well, that's the artillery shortage fixed.

But now we have an even bigger army to cover, and not much more in the way of counterspelling resources to cover it.

I think we want to treat that as the priority; we might be the best at communications and scouting, but we're the only mages. If we don't work on this problem, no one will.

Alright so it's a danger that the Dwarves Ranger could probably handle without us interfering/helping then.
Let's hope the capital contains at least one or two runepriest that wants to join the expedition then, or maybe if we're lucky we might stumbled into Asarnil again, who wishes to create a trilogy.
