Lya needs to learn more soul talking. We have the soulgem of an important LE thing and I wanna know what it is
Lya can go do other things. We have the soulgem from the Daemon in Tyrosh, the LE soulgem from the Xorn, Dany's proto-phylactery, Garin and Selyse's child, and lastly Amrelath's phylactery to study. Every last one of them is connected to the same general field, so she has plenty of material to work off of. In the meantime @Goldfish @Diomedon I would very much prefer to explore the ruins of Sallosh while we have free time. Frankly, the undead thing is a ticking time bomb, and now that we're here and we've basically cleared everything away I want to go in with a full strike team and purge the entire place so we never have to worry about it again.

A little off topic, but we can probably visit Volantis again by next month to do something about the echo of Meraxes. Mayhaps find Balerion's echo for Malarys too.

If we do, I wonder what we can do to nudge Viserys to meet the most powerful political power in Volantis who's not with the masters of the city, nor the clergy: The Widow of the waterfront.

If we ever need to have a core of a slave revolution, she's right there.

The only way to communicate with whatever is trapped in that gem is to break it and let the creature out.

Even if it's possible to learn some other way, that's ridiculously niche knowledge that basically isn't worth devoting any time to.

We've got the time, so I don't mind. Lya doesn't need to be in Sallosh, though. She can study soul lore (which is much more useful than just trying to communicate with whatever is in that gem), learn spells, craft stuff, etc. My preference is for her to spend nine or ten days crafting, but I won't make an issue if she does other stuff instead.

Not quite. We have another soulgem--the one from the Daemon in Tyrosh. We can let Lya experiment with that. If she makes a breakthrough, then that makes her a bit more experienced in soul lore in general and thus translates to when we decide to deal with the LE soul gem, Garin and Selyse's child, and getting Amrelath a new body. Isn't synergy great? :)

Oh, perfect. :D I'm happy we're not abandoning this when we don't have to. As long as we get to wipe these undead from the face of the planet I have no complaints. Also, she can craft and learn soul lore. It's what we built the Dedicated Wrights for.

I'm thinking a few days to purge the undead from Sallosh, and then the remaining to diplomance the Landwarden in Lys and grow the Heart Tree and murder the Lich while we're at it? I was initially concerned that we might rile up the Free Cities even further with our actions, but that ship is sailed ever since Pentos happened, so there's really no point in hiding it. And the sooner we do this the sooner that Lich bites the dust.

By studying soul talking I mean soul lore in general. Being able to manipulate the building blocks of life is a hell of an advantage when it comes to researching awesome things

I want to spend some time striking that thing in the east where the other Gold Company apprentice wizards are holed up. We could go out tomorrow and have them wiped out; we'll probably take some prisoners that know what and where if the one we Charmed felt comfortable enough about it to gossip. While Illyrio is on the back foot, we should smash as much of his everything as we possibly can. Since we've recovered the magic notes that Illyrio stole and seized back most of their spell books, killing or capturing their last few magelings will set Illyrio and the Golden Company back a lot. If their lose all of their wizards, their magic tradition dies.

Sacrifices:

Advanced Vrock (10 HD; Smoky Confinement) -- True Outsider (Called): +35% -- 13.5 HD
Gibbering Abomination (13 HD; Smoky Confinement) -- Aberration: +35% -- 17.55 HD
Advanced Gibbering Mouther (13 HD; Smoky Confinement) -- Aberration: +35% -- 17.55 HD
Cleric of Tiamat -- the Shadow Weaver (11-12 HD; Smoky Confinement) -- Creature Capable of casting spells (not SLAs): +25% -- 13.75 or 15 HD
Cleric of Tiamat -- the Battle Mage (13 HD; Baleful Polymorph) -- Creature Capable of casting spells (not SLAs): +25% -- 16.25 HD

Total: 78.6 or 79.85 HD, depending on whether the Shadow Weaver is level 11 or 12.

A Tier-3 Heart Tree costs 54 HD. So we'll either be overpaying by 24.6 HD or by 25.85 HD

That's going to be part of interrogating the wizard apprentices if we manage to capture them. They're very high priority targets, second only to Illyrio himself. That man will not escape from us a third time.

Yeah, we're riding the wave here, no need to jump off it just yet.
We should hunt down all 6 apprentices, wherever they are and scry-and-loot them.
All holdings, operations or safehouses of Illyrio also should be ransacked in these few free days we have. The less resources the fat fuck or any of his allies (when we get Illyrio themself) manage to recover - the better. Also, loot.
Anand we should probably get someone on "Illyrio duty" if we don't get him in the following days.
By that I mean constantly checking, on a daily basis (say, every 4 hours) to where he is. The moment he's out? Scry-and-loot.

Also, huh.
We're going to feed Old Gods an equivalent of a small deity.
I'm starting to get hyped for whatever good stuff will go our way once they get more active in Planetos, simply by means of us having a very big part in returning them to power.
Though I would've prefered to feed all that to Yss. Too bad best snek will burst, otherwise we would've force-fed him to grow some more divine ranks.

. By the way, we also just got new ships. We could literally carry them to Sorcerer's Deep if we wanted to.

More ships are good and we should send them but it'd take forever to get to SD. Instead we should just fetch the shadow tower and then load em up to teleport them all easily. It also would allow us to fetch the legion to act as a passifying force if any of them get ideas.

Them taking forever is a good thing. It gives us time before we have to deal with integrating them.

@Mormont, in our Huge Halfdragon form we're strong enough that we can literally lift the ships and teleport back with them. We don't even need the Shadow Tower for this. We successfully stole an entire inn, after all.

By the way, @BeepSmile, I completely agree with you. I also want another Wayfinder or two. I also want to add a Lay of the Land effect and a Locate Plant or Animal effect. It'll be tricky fitting it in the future crafting schedules, but good god it'll be worth it.

Was curious do we plan to grow a Heart Tree for the Night Watch at least at Castle Black if not all locations they are stationed?

That was the plan, yeah.

Planned Heart Trees:

Lys Heart Tree to be bound to the Landwarden
Heart Tree of Peace and Plenty
A woman's face, fine-featured and bejeweled such as one might find from pleasure houses to the halls of the mighty, yet the smile does not lie. It does not hide horror and pain, but simply shows a sly amusement, inviting the viewer to partake. Upon the tree strange ivy blooms and then grows laden with golden berries, blessed to heal and sustain. An air of... peace falls over the godswood.
CL 20 Hallow Effect
Secondary Effect 1: Safe Clearing
Secondary Effect 2: Goodberry
Secondary Effect 3: Remove Disease
Defense Tree for Sorcerer's Deep
Reviving the petrified Heart Tree in Sorcerer's Deep
A grove of weirwoods for the Children of the Forest
Heart Tree for Deepcleft
Heart Tree for Port Sorrow
Heart Tree for Saltcliff
Heart Tree for Westhaven
Heart Tree for He'Nekar
Heart Tree for Tyrosh
Heart Tree for Myr
Heart Tree for Pentos
Heart Tree for Braavos (via Day of Change to avoid conflict)
Heart Tree for each of the three castles of the Night's Watch.

How many of those heart trees we're letting grow the old fashioned way?
The only ones we'd let grow normally would be the Weirwood grove for the Children of the Forest. We can accelerate the growth via Plant Growth on the petrified Weirwood, but that's about all the effort we'd need to put in there. Everything else needs enchantments, so sacrifices will be collected for those. Shouldn't be too hard, though. We always end up fighting things to be sacrificed. And we're about to invade Tyrosh, an absolute pit of fiendishness. We'll collect plenty.

Oh, also. For the sacrifices, I forgot that we're going to do our level best to sacrifice the Lich as well. So that's another, what, 12-13 HD?

Speaking of sacrifices, can we make some kind of item that casts Smoky Confinement X/day for ease of sacrifice? Or some kind of pseudo wand/staff that lets us cast it 50 times in order to abuse the thing the hell and back?

erm, @DragonParadox would you mind providing some context, if not anyhow spoilerific?
Particularly, on the matter of sacrificing stuff to gods?
Just how much more powerful on physical/metaphysical do we make Old Gods and/or Yss when force-feeding them stuff?
How soon can we expect Yss to jump up in divine levels with all worship and HD we're feeding him?
And on unrelated matter: do those rolls you mentioned you make for Scholarum students mean they have finished their education or that they were found among the populace? Does the fact we haven't had great luck with those rolls since first one means nor that there aren't any mages-in-training but that they've not finished learning yet?
