So, hiring all for them would drain our reserves in two and a half turns or so, assuming no other income or expenses. And yeah, with the rebels thing, we could let go of 800 or so worth of them (say crimson and woodstalkers) after two turns, need be, and stay cash neutral. The disadvantage of spending all the money is that we're going to need it to rebuild, and I'm not sure how soon until post-war Aquelia will be solvent for us. At least we'll all but be undisputed ruler then, who's going to contest it, wingbardy?
we already have supported the rebels (Cost: 400) and aquelia will pretty much join us if we manage to break the army in the coming battle (thanks crit + bonus*). Only thing left is the rebuildingCan you give estimated prices for the hypothetical action []support rebels, and how much rebuilding could cost afterwards?
-Fluent in Treason: Brochard's taxation policies haven't been popular amongst his subjects. Should he fail to deliver a victory in Wingbardy and acquire it's fertile lands, he risks facing a revolt. Your spies are still present in Aquileia. Have them contact a few of the more openly resentful nobles and see if you can get the ball rolling on that whole "rebellion" thing, as well as lay the groundwork for a transfer of power once Brochard is out of the way. Cost: 400. Time: One Year. Reward: Increased chance of Revolt against Brochard, Less risk of opposition to your taking the throne. Chance of Success: 50%
Required: 50. Rolled: 95+13(Personal Intrigue)+50(Omake Bonuses)=158 (Nat. Crit!)
Well, that certainly simplifies things, if we hadn't gotten that crit, it might have been a bit harder to conquer Aquileia.Aquileia's nobility and peasantry promise to swear fealty to you in the event of Brochard's defeat.

Is anyone thinking about how much we are also going to have to spend our new territory in Aquileia and its costs though? It probably isn't going to be cheap, though it probably is going to be offset a bit by the new tax revenue we gain, and probably whatever is left of Cyrus's treasury which we can add to our own.
I doubt he has anything left in the treasury.Well, that certainly simplifies things, if we hadn't gotten that crit, it might have been a bit harder to conquer Aquileia.
