[X] Plan Army and Disease

Not quite a fan of an Imperial army as the Griffins are just checking the south. I would go with ballistas, yet it has all other essentials. New daughter, son gets a hobby, and our Steward goes down in history, as the griffin behind griffin who rebuilt the 3 different Griffin nations.

The full sized army is both a hedge against possible hostilities with our southern neighbors (the Yak status was rolled for and one result would have been a unified group looking to raid/conqueror us, fortunate for us the dice have them as separate groups with the nearby ones not initially hostile) as well as men to take care of internal problems like trolls and other monsters.

I know, but it doesn't feel necessary. It's been awhile since we had to any mention of internal monsters being problematic, and we are not rushing to settle the West.

Not to mention that the increase in Army size will allow us to protect the new settlements when we move in both in the west and in the south. The reason we have not heard anything about monsters is because we did a very effective culling of them early on. The number will grow back up. The other reason is because our army is very well equipped, and the militia has been added to the defense with much better training .

We are not settling the the frontier yet because we have a few things to do first. I say we should be ready to move in to those areas starting the turn after next.

So for next turn can we please take the getting Swole action? I would like to get at least one more blood child so that our bloodline doesn't end and we have another mad scramble to find an heir if something happens to us all. Also the chance to get stronger is likely to help us live longer as well so we can set up our son's reigns to be even more successful.

I dont really see the point of being so paranoid about the yaks, they have a monumental task of climbing the mountains, with their body type they are unlikely to do this, just because they are based on the mongols the fact is they dont ride horses or are you know, humans, thus incapable of traveling such terrain, at least not with some major use of industry they do not have or will ever have thus they are less likely to ever be a bother to us and any plan to fortify up to defend against them is unfounded. Though I do want to keep an eye on them if nothing else as a method of long range training camp for our own spies to learn how to blend in and hide from another species not our own.
...Except yaks do have the ability to scale mountains and it was stated in the very update that the initial warning towers would not be enough to stop a determined raid.

When a QM decides to design one of your neighbors after the Mongols in an empire quest, it would be the absolute height of foolishness to not prepare for hordes.

[X] Plan Army and Disease

One thing that bothers me is that we are all assuming that our second neighbors will be in the south. I do admit that there's a high chance of it, given the warmer weather, but it is also likely that they could be in the eastern landmass across the ocean; which, I'm starting to feel is some kind of inland sea, ruling out the Qilin. I could be wrong, but I would feel just a little bit safer if we got an Imperial Navy option to go along with our army.

[X] Plan Strong Frontier

Honestly I like both plans of Strong Frontier and Army and Diseases, but I really want them defenses up, maybe next turn we can get swole and make the missus quite happy, but the needs of the empire must I suppose. But for real though get that Center of Disease Control up asap nothing ruins a game then to suddenly have your entire family tree die to plague or something.

Mostly because it's easier to get somewhere on land then by sea. Plus it's probably safer to travel over land as we can fly over most obstacles and hunt the land. The sea on the other hand has nowhere for our guys to rest after flying all day and it's harder to gather supplies in the middle of the sea the from land. Or at least that's my thought process behind it

...We have ships.

Ships we specifically designed for exploration.

This was barely 3 turns ago.
