We Are the Gods of a New World Order [Warhammer 50K ~ Warp God Simulator]

Hmm, lets see, we're going to want result ranges in the -1 to +1 range

Azure Magus: Starting point -2
-They can use the Star Galleon better than we can anyways
-If we give everything we'd have 4 points to spend without going negative. There doesn't seem to be anything we'd be against giving here, outside of action economy concerns
-The biggest gains here would be the Voidcraft(because fuck if I know how we're going to independently biotech our way to spacelift) and the second best is the artificer spell - Lotus Star Reactors are Big Deals, and being able to actually RUN an industry without direct divine intervention is kind of important if you want to scale up.

Prince Sendai: Starting point -5
-Important factor is that the Verdant Maiden intrinsically] detests undead due to her core Life Domain. It might seem nice to have them have an embassy but she's inclined to interpret everything they do in the worst possible manner, such an Embassy is more likely to backfire than anything else. This is why Dana is permanently locked up handling the embassy - if anything happens to her VM is going to lose her shit at the Necrons.
-If we give everything but the embassy we'd be at -1, which means they'd be back eventually.

Azure Dragoons: Starting point 0
-Nice thing is none of the ADs requests cost anything up front, assuming they only take volunteers I don't expect a problem. They NEED both anyways.
-The question is Integrate vs Instructors. I'm leaning Instructors, Integrate would set off too many Moving Too Fast Chaos Cult flags.

Tentatively I'm thinking:
[] Plan Minor Debts For Major Gains
-[] Provide your Spirit Binding Techniques (+2) You jam tentacles in your pilots? What's wrong with you! -- They're roots! -- Same difference! I could do better with a sympathetic link and a crown, no fuss, no muss, and no lewd bondage devices! -- They can get out whenever they want though! And anyway it's not lewd at all their uniforms don't let that happen!… -- it's the aesthetics of it that's the problem! (Auto-spends 1 favor Token next turn on Connection)

-[] Provide the Star Galleon Frame and assist in refitting it (+2) This is convenient, a little work replacing the command core, and I can turn this into a factory and residential ship. (A special action next turn will open up, requiring 3 Manpower Tokens, but no other rolls. Failing to take this will be treated as reneging)

-[] Teach an agricultural spell (+1) I'll admit, if you can do something to help grow food in space, that'll save a lot on our upkeep. (A special action next turn will open up, requiring 2 favor tokens but no other rolls. Failing to take this will be treated as reneging)

-[] Grant recruitment rights (+1) More than the ones I'm already poaching from the refugees? Well, more power to you I suppose, I'll never say no to more followers (Reduces recruitment considerably until the Azure Magus leaves)

-[] Request assistance in developing starships (-3) Oof, you don't ask for something small do you. You want me to kitbash an alien paradigm into a coherent shipbuilding tradition? I mean, I can, but that's going to be a tricky one (Provides Technology: Verdant Cult Voidcraft)

-[] Request an artificer spell (-2) Oiii, this is like, my thing, I know you're doing it through your fancy magic life stuff but if you're muscling in on my shtick I'm going to come after you! (Permits construction of Lotus Star Reactors without your personal oversight)

-[] Grant his request for an exhibition match (+2) Well, he wants a throwdown, your people can throw down pretty good you think, set up a nice place to fight and put a good show and maybe he'll go away? (Opens up a Special Kinetic Action next turn to challenge Prince Sendai and his household to a grand tournament. Failure to follow through is likely to result in him getting bored and leaving, negating the gain made here)

-[] Offer trading rights (+1) This… This should be harmless right? They just want some liquor? You don't need to watch them drink it oh you want to vomit… (Requires 1 Favor Token next turn to secure a large enough, sustainable supply)

-[] Offer Sanctuary (+1): Well, why not? They need a place to patch their stuff up and the materials to do so, we've got plenty of docking space after all! (Azure Dragoons will be granted sanctuary in your system. Should be safe--unless something follows them.)

-[] Offer Recruiting Rights (+2): They've gotten beaten up quite a bit, but not so much that they can't rebuild a bit. Give 'em the freedom to recruit anyone they like and that'll be looked on pretty nicely you think! (Azure Dragoons given access to the surface and permission to seek out new recruits among your non-cult citizens. May or may not cause friction you just don't know!)

-[] Offer auxiliaries (+1) This is a bad idea! No, no, no, Dana you can't go do this to me they're my people too don't make them go help an evil arthopod's hunting parties! (1 Manpower is committed for the foreseeable future as a small detachment of Flower Knights accompanies the Prince on his safari. They'll probably be returned, eventually)

-[] Segmentum Information (-1): Though disgraced, scattered and on the run, the Azure Dragoons are still more informed about the wider Galaxy than you are! Ask them about your corner of space, who the important people are and which ones are meanies that need some love and judgement! (Acquire out-of-date intel on the Segmentum. But hey, some intel is better than no intel!)
-[] Instructors (-2): If you think that might be a bit too spicy though, the fact remains that the Space Marines are almost certainly in the highest echelon of combat skill the galaxy has to offer. A few years with them drilling your cult's forces and aiding with your own craftsmen should go a long way to improving your war fighting potential! (Azure Dragoons serve as instructors for the Verdant Cult for the next few years, improving the stats of your forces and potentially producing new Special Rules. Should not be taken with Integrate, as these effects will naturally occur with Integrate)

@Alectai, did we get any points from AM by offering our port as a safe berth and dry dock for them to enact repairs of their ship?

We would also probably be offering food and such as well, not to mention the morale boost of shore leave.

Anything that let us expand outside of Equinox and into the rest of the system and beyond it is good for me. Anything for space/void-craft is I think very important to gain and work on given that was the plan before the whole deal with the Tax Man, and everything else show up.

Tbh Im not wholly against Auxiliaries. This is our chance to evangelize, to preach among those who know us not. Surely the Retainers of Prince Sendai would have his ear, no?

I think it would be best if the Necrontyr have an embassy. VM needs to get over her aversion of them if we want to help them.

Also it would be best to integrate the Space Marines. All parties should leave satisfied.

yeah,VM needs to get over her aversion, the embassy is an investment,a strong necrontyr neo-chaos diplomacy is important
we need allies to make up for the fact the imperium is going to seek our asses

Mostly agree with you, but integrating the space marines is awfully tempting.
I also doubt we can be any more on the shit list of the imperium than we are right now, we are already seen as a Chaos Cult.

@Alectai, would it be possible to integrate the Azure Dragoons into our population later even if we don't do it right away? Give them a trail period working with us, see how well we cooperate, etc, before jumping into that large of a commitment?

I am also tempted by integrating the Marines, but ultimately dont want to. Its supposed to be a point of contention between them and the other groups that fled it sounds like, so I like the idea of if anothe group comes around/hears of us they will see not that we "absorbed" the group that caused the schizm/break up of the Chapter, but instead jsut let them be and aided them/let them recruit. That way if any of them want to join us its more of a their choice type of thing. I mean I suppose this is still a "their choice" for this group in a way, but I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

Just so it's here and thus 'official': @Alectai the Lightning Gun Data doesn't give us access to that particular tech, it just means we can build the Arclance using technology without needing the Weather (I think that's the relevant one) Domain to get it through Warp-based methods like we're currently doing for basically everything?

You could have just asked me to repost that you know.

I'm strongly in favor of going ham with the Azure Magus options - give her as much as possible, and get a whole bunch in return, since that's the best way to build towards a long term alliance, which I very much want.

As a basic outline:

[ ] Plan Redshirt
-[ ] Azure Magus (Starts at -2)
--[ ] Provide your Spirit Binding Techniques (+2)
--[ ] Provide the Star Galleon Frame and assist in refitting it (+2)
--[ ] Teach an agricultural spell (+1)
--[ ] Grant recruitment rights (+1)
--[ ] Request assistance in developing starships (-3)
--[ ] Request an artificer spell (-2)
-[ ] Prince Sendai (Starts at -5)
--[ ] Grant his request for an exhibition match (+2)
--[ ] Offer trading rights (+1)
--[ ] Offer auxiliaries (+1)
-[ ] Azure Dragoons (Starts at 0)
--[ ] Offer Sanctuary (+1)
--[ ] Offer Recruiting Rights (+2)
--[ ] Integrate (-3)

This leaves the Azure Magus and Prince Sendai at -1, so we continue to owe them each a favor, and sets the Azure Dragoons to 0.

In terms of actions, next turn we have 6 Favor Tokens and 5 Manpower Tokens. This plan ties up:

AM
-1 Favor Token: Spirit Binding
-3 Manpower: Star Galleon
-2 Favor Token: Agricultural Spell

Prince Sendai
-1 Manpower (Auxillaries) [Lasts several turns]
Exhibition Match (??? Manpower, Favor)

So with a plan like this, we'd end up with 3 spare favor tokens and 1 spare manpower token. The manpower token almost certainly will get tied up in the tournament, so basically we'll be relying on hero actions and 3 favor to get us through the turn. That seems pretty fine to me, honestly? Put Dana and a Connection token towards Integration, keep the rest to put out any immediate fires.

In terms of the chosen actions:

Getting our own spacecraft and getting Lotus Reactors mass producible are much more important than getting a heavy land walker.
Building an embassy seems incredibly premature, especially with the VM flipping out, and we can't really spare the Dana actions. All the other + actions are much more reasonable, and I'd like to end up in the +/- 1 range.
If we integrate the dragoons, we get the information and training as well, so the net cost is the same. The real question is if we want to slow roll this, let them stay independant, fly off, and maybe integrate them many turns down the line, or if we just do it now.

Honestly I think Integrate is too much right now. Lets not push too far with the AD for now. I don't want greed and SHINY instincts to ruin the good thing we have with them. Besides, getting comprehensive intel on the wider galaxy is important as well.

Permanently lost actions suggests strongly that theres no just getting over fundamental aspects of her nature
Or at the very least, not for free. We might be able to take actions to acclimatise VM to them, get her over her instinctive revulsion to the point it's not debilitating, etc, but even if it is possible it's not going to be an automatic thing.

edit: I like not always's plan however I dont like how that leaves us at -2 with the prince since that leaves us majorly in there debt if im understanding correctly.
And the auxiliaries since it seems like it would be our faithful would give us info, from a pragmatic perspective.

Edit 2: for some reason he does the auxilaires after offering recruiting rights making it seem like the auxilair was for the dragoons confusing me.
