We Are the Gods of a New World Order [Warhammer 50K ~ Warp God Simulator]

I can emphasize with you on that. Game relevant information revealed in an external chatroom (that you need an invite to no less) are why Red Flag calls Discords for ongoing Quests cancer.
I would have less of an issue with it if somebody would just post a link to it like people have been asking for for 30 pages

I've posted links every time someone has asked for one. Nobody asked for one today.

Join the Alectai's Discord Cabal Discord Server! If I've done this right, it should go straight to #rules-and-faq. If I didn't do it right, check that channel first.

EDIT: Hell, the last time I posted an invite was 27 hours ago, so that invite link would have only just expired.

On the subject of Daemon Princes...

I am suddenly worried about as we become more and more powerful, we draw the attention of the reminding Nurgle ones feeling our presence in the Warp.

VM: Ah, the cancer shows itself. (Gets out scythe.) Time to die.

Or they just report that everything that happened until the final confontration with Dana, with just small omissions about their discussions and sympathy, then continue:

"After neutralizing the nascent Arch-Heretic and her core supporters, the fighting forces of the Chaos worshippers collapsed. As nearly the whole population was still unfortunately fully converted to the Verdant cult's ways and still growing in power even with their military in shambles, it was deemed necessary that Exterminatus was performed before the mass-sacrifices potentially transformed Equinox into a Daemon World.

After the Spire's Void Shield mechanisms were sabotaged, the ground forces were collected along with the fallen and called back, before we proceeded with the Exterminatus as the protocol demands, with no deviations in the expected results. According to readings, the planet will be ready to start the initial Terraforming procedures in aproximately 300-500 years."

Then something something may the Emperor have mercy on the faithful who were still on the ground and stood against the corruption until the end something something such is the fate of heretics something something the Emperor Protects.

Now we just need to borrow the Violet Rogue's Restricted Domain of Voyage, and the Space Domain of the Azure Magus, and then we will likely have an intra-galactic-pseudo-webway. And probably a lot of more power than we will have even after the timeskip.

If they successfully lie; the emp is back and more powerful than ever (he ascended as god, no?)
Still, it's very much possible, though in that case i fear the imperium will be down one marine chapter some time after the timeskip, and more importantly, one less sensible commander (and his brothers in arms). Poor Marines... Maybe we should build them a statue/memorial if they get executed en-masse later

If we do pay our taxes, both in food and men. Well. That would certainly be an... interesting way for our faith to spread beyond Equinox.

@Alectai

The immaterium itself is but a mirror upon reality, and as such a place itself can be filled with paradoxes, it too had its own mirror, an "opposite". When the war in heaven ended, the warp lost its true masters the Old Ones, and in their place remained CHAOS. From the terrible quagmire that become the warp, and with the uncontrolled thoughts and emotions of the species of the galaxies became what would become the Chaos Gods, who ruled their empires with iron fists. They sought not to rule the materium, but to throw it into anarchy to feed themselves and grow fat from strength. But their birth meant the birth of a fifth god, one who's sole purpose wast to oppose the Four. His name was Malal. And he was dead.

Now, in his place remained the Monochrome
Heirarch, and now his purpose had changed. Where in a past life he was born to tear down the might of gods, now he was to build them anew. The materium had become boring, plain, unchanging. And nature, much like the immaterium, despised this. That was the Heirarch's true purpose. As a god, however, his plan was quite a bit more... personal. Namely, while his nature drove him to create four new gods to rule the warp, he justified this with his Malice towards IT. That being that believed itself greater than the gods, greater than nature. The hypocrite. The nemesis. The ANETHMA. In the days to come, he would have many motivations. The greater purpose for his existence. The love for his new siblings. The relations with other gods of the warp. But none would ever trump his hate for IT. He would ensure that before his time was up, before his purpose was fulfilled, that he make sure IT would feel every drop of anger, of hate, of detestment, of MALICE. He would make sure that IT new how much pain IT inflicted in ITS arrogance, even if it cost him his own life.

The
Cavalier had turned the army that was put forth to crush it.

The
Maiden had turned away the Marines with words alone.

The
Rogue had made peace with the Harlequinns that had arrived to cull him.

The
Magus, well, their work went on.

The tides were changing. The others knew moves were being made in the Great Game, but no one knew who. One of the only few who could, they did not want to believe it. The Great Enemy was gone, they had won.

Let them believe. He had work to do.

So something I didn't see any comments on but, Dana seems to be going the down the path of a Eldar Exarch. One of the tidbits from Older Lore that I remember is that Exarchs would eventually merge with their armor. Now we've got Dana Merging with her Plug Suit, getting a imitation of Proper Eldar Ears, and becoming a Psyker. Wonder how that's playing with our Eldar Population, Follow VM, become more like the Eldar.

That reminds me. If the Lamenters are still around our favorite bleeding heart boys are most likely in a bad place mentality and emotionally.
Sort of. In this case its less 'very bad things happen that the Lamenters barely manage to scrape through while doing their duty' and more that they are getting ordered to do things are that very much against their morals and mentality. But at the same time they can't refuse said orders because it's coming from the High Lords etc.

With far fewer external threats (Chaos gone etc) more and more Space Marine chapters would be used to deal with internal threats; like say, rebelling planets etc. And the Lamenters wouldn't exactly be stoked about attacking Imperial citizens, rebels or otherwise.
Let me have my mustard checkerboard bois please. They are the one truly good thing in this terrible galaxy...:cry::cry::cry:

FOR THOSE WE CHERISH, WE DIE IN GLORY!
Indeed. o7 to them all.
Paying our taxes in food to the imperium, their gonna be wondering why the new steak looks green but it's still delicious
You betca, green eggs and ham will be one of our primary trade goods. I even have a picture of the egg source:

Yes, that's one of our line infantry in full battle armor and assault rifle 'herding' the improved chickens. And yes, he needs both; the roosters can get a bit nasty at time.

What? We have cattle whose horns and hides serve as psyhic energy sinks:
You skip ahead. Oh, that's what she meant. That's a really good idea! Cattle and other big animals aren't smart enough to use psychic energy, but they're big enough to attract it! If you just engineer their horns and hides to serve as a sink for those energies, you can create valuable, thought-reactive materials on a useful scale!

Not great quality admittedly, but it could serve as a valuable component in copying some of your own work! Plus, stuff like the horns don't really lose their ability to serve as storage either, and with a little carving you can turn them into useful batteries!
Birds that are essentially a crossbreed between chickens and ostriches are not that weird in comparison.

Assuming the space marines don't want to commite suicide via whatever anti-marine forces the High Lords have at their disposal, they would have said they killed us all.
I think the only thing they'll have along those lines would be Primaris Marines, or whatever ended up becoming of that.

Which means the Mechanicus and the Ordo Assassinorum. Which puts an awful lot of the Imperium's force projection in a very small square. I'm not gonna question the Assassinorum's alignment, but the opening post had some interesting things to say about the Mechanicus.

[O] Investigate the Signal (DC 65)
-[O] Manpower Token
-[O] Domain: Artifice, Knowledge
It is far from usual for alerts of that magnitude to be sent out from a colony world, especially one so far out on the fringes. Perhaps you could take a look and see just what was worth a Company of Space Marines to be sent.

Finally it came time to investigate the planet that sent the "FULL CHAOS INVASION" signal to Terra. Going in you were not sure what to expect, as since it was just and Agriworld you didnt have high hopes for the actual scale of the threat. Perhaps it was an actual cult on the rise, or it might just have been the planetary governor was facing a riot and panicked.

[Investigate the Signal: 91 + 20 (Domains): 111]

Almost as soon as you began to look through the reports and details surrounding the message sent you lamented that Vaver Welvet was unable to spare the time into looking into this event himself. The planet had fought off a surviving Chaos Demon decades prior to this event, so obviously the signal wouldnt be used for nothing, meaning there might be something legitimate going on below.

Lacking any available cultists able to directly reach the planet, you were at least able to send yourself to it by piggybacking off of the echos of the signals sent from and back to the planet. Once you arrived you invisibly began to search the place, finding mostly the same technology the rest of the Imperium used around the capital. However outside of it was a different story entirely.

The planet lived up to its name as an Agriworld, being mostly farms for various food crops and animals, lush fields, thick forests, and seas teaming with life. However as this was where the supposed Chaos activity was, the capital had withdrawn its manufacturing and support abilities from the various towns, so they needed to improvise. What you found appeared to be some sort of organic technology, plant and animal tissues specially grown and designed to perform the tasks of general farming equipment, all of it seemingly solar powered and so not requiring the usual fuel and maintenance.

That alone was mildly interesting, but the real prize came from the seaside. There you discovered the people working on and around a massive leviathan of a sea monster, signs existing of its flesh being taken apart and eaten. However they were not disassembling it further, instead they were REBUILDING it. The bones were being reshaped into armor plating, and where bone couldnt reach actual metal armor was being strapped into place. The whole thing was being kept hollow to allow for people to move around inside of it, to say nothing of actual weapon emplacements being added.

As you marvelled and took notes, you could see that plant-mater was being shipped in and placed nearby the growing carcass, people taking it and using some minor warp powers to reshape it into durable flesh making the construction stronger. These same people were reshaping the bones, showing that they must be psi-active in some way.

[Miracle! The Agriworld Equinox is revealed to have several instances of unique, unknown technologies. The Flora and Fauna also may have some interesting properties.]

This planet might very well be a gold mine for you, at least once the space Marines were gone. Now, you just need to figure out a way to get some actual cultists here after the purge to get your hands on some samples of this-

[Hmmmmmmm?: 92]

[Oh?: 29]

Ahem

From RIGHT BEHIND YOU a sound echos out through the Warp, one that was little more than a metaphorical call for attention that was all the more frightening for its neutrality. You momentarily freeze up before you manage to get yourself to turn around, knowing that you were found somehow and acting quickly might be the key.

Your first thought upon seeing her was LIFE, growth and advancement in the face of any challenge, determination to break any and all limits place before itself. The Second was DEATH, the ending of struggles as needed for the advancement of life, the harvesting of a Reaper. Finally you felt POWER, that of no mere shadow of the old Gods or Daemon Prince but a full on Deity in the center of their power. Now you knew that the technology you had seen was no mere fluke, it was all designed with a PURPOSE.

Still the full on Goddess stared at you, a faint knowing smile on her face as she looked at you, Domains of power swirling around her and bolstered by the people below. With growing horror you recalled the contents of the message sent from the capital, Colony Overrun. An Agriworld like this would have a population of millions, so if everyone outside of the one remaining city all worshiped this one Goddess!

You couldnt help it, you Screamed.

"AHHHHHH!" In a panic you began to scramble away, pointing your finger at her in fear.

"Ahhhhhh!" The other goddess mirrored your action, and yet you couldnt help but notice the curving of the corner of her mouth upwards. She wasnt really scared, she was just PLAYING with you. Overcome and with no plans for this situation you just started tossing raw power around, tossing out anything you had at hand before remembering you were just an extended avatar. You pulled yourself into the depths of your awesome cloak and reappeared back in your seat of power.

How close had that been?

Oh. I guess we just found the Verdant Maiden.

mememaru said:
Ah, the New Nurgle. Hopefully without the same old bad taste of plague and pestilence.

Aranfanatic said:
Well that was nerve wracking. I wonder how dangerous that actually was.

Omegahormagaunt said:
Well consider she is somehow literally running on a couple million souls while we are barely breaking a thousand. Also consider she has freaking DEATH as a domain.

EtherealSnuggle said:
The Azure Magus will never die!

VoiddragonDOS said:
But seriously how in the hell did she manage to sneak up on us like that?

Planetpikkl said:
Well by the looks of these rolls-

Ahem
She rolled high for detecting us and we rolled shit for detecting her.

spacewolf_beta said:
Still those eyes are rather unnerving.

Aranfanatic said:
No doubt. Still it looks like we might have lucked out. The SM are on their way to clear the planet so we can still swoop in and take the left overs.

VoiddragonDOS said:
I find it sad that you think that. She is literally powered by millions of souls, which is a bullshit growth rate by the way, she can probably sweep a company of Space Marines aside.

mememaru said:
Ah but thats just it, notice that she didnt seem to have many combat units. It looks like she went all in on expanding her cult, and had a sideline of quality of life stuff like the farming equipment. The only military thing she has is the Leviathan, and tough as it might be its not going to be able withstand 100 Space Marines and equipment.

Planetpikkl said:
That is a fair point. If she doesnt have much of any actual combat forces, the Marines are gonig to go through her followers without even slowing down.

spacewolf_beta said:
Yeah, actually the Leviathan might not be a warbeast, it might be an escape attempt. @Alorktai, from what we saw did the Leviathan look space-worthy?

Alorktai said:
To clear up a few misconceptions, you are making a number of assumptions here. The Azure Magus was caught off-guard and out of position, and so was panicking a little bit. You cant actually tell how powerful the other God is, since you basically just saw her and two of her primary domains before dropping your spaghetti and running away. The "power" comment was just noticing she is a God like you with multiple domains and not just a demon with one domain.

Also this was just a quick flyby visit, you didnt see everything on the planet. You simply flew past the things out in the open and stopped when you saw the first thing of real interest. The Leviathan is very dead, and wont be capable of space flight any time soon. However you did notice them bringing in Grav Plates, so it can at least hover over the ground.

Aranfanatic said:
Ah, so we might be over-estimating her power here.

VoiddragonDOS said:
That just makes it more likely that she is finished. Without any strong forces the Marines are still going to walk all over her. Thats if they dont just bombard everything from orbit too.

mememaru said:
Yeah, lets be fair if she doesnt have the forces to take the spire then she DEFINATELY is not going to be able to hold of the Space Marines, they are a good 2-3 magnitudes stronger in terms of offence. Especially considering this is just an Agriworlds defences and not a a Forgeworld.

Planetpikkl said:
Its a real shame that one of the new four is going to die so soon, but I guess thats the price you pay for going loud too fast.

spacewolf_beta said:
Yeah, for now lets just focus on the important part, namely that we got a miracle on this roll so we know there will be some good stuff once the Space Marines leave. It will be nice to get going on an actual planet for once. Much more secure I think.
