The former EC palace was turned into the home of the newly-formed Reiksguard by Wilhelm III.
Is that the same as Castle Reiksguard?

Also, the wiki says that the Reiksguard is commanded by the Reiksmarshal, but also that it is loyal to Holswig-Schliestein (but has since its conception been 100% a symbol of Imperial strength and nobility) while the Reiksmarshal, despite the title's original under pre-Empire Reikland kings, is now an Imperial position that I guess simply kept its traditional name. How does this whole tangle work without a Reiklander Emperor?

And how old is the current Emperor anyway?

Also, I'm sure Borek mentioned the literal Dragon outside, and a Dragon sitting just outside of your Karak is a pretty solid reason to bust out binoculars or something and keep an eye on things.

Especially when one of the key features of your defense system is a small forest.

Staff Notice - Please avoid this kind of rhetoric towards other users, this steps perilously close towards Rule 3 and the thread policy.
I think you may be perceiving me as more un-chill than I actually am. There are let's say layers to my position:
This entire damn arc you've been consistently an ass to everyone. You've repeated opinions that Boney jossed on the same damn page, you've called people stupid, ignorant and blind and just been the worst. I am honestly in shock that you haven't been staff actioned yet.

I remember there having been a Word of BoneyM about the make-up of the Emperor's Council of State, but the search function is failing me. Does anyone remember where it is?

Before the modern Reiksguard was the Reiklanderguard, which became the official protectors of the Emperor after they had a particularly good showing during the Battle of Kislev. Wilhelm reformed them into the Reiksguard which was loyal to the Reikland Imperial bloodline instead. Which isn't a problem currently, but could very well become one if/when those diverge. On paper, the Reiksmarshal title is separate to being Grand Master of the Reiksguard/Reiklanderguard which is separate to being the Military Advisor of the Council of State, but the three have become linked in unofficial tradition.

And how old is the current Emperor anyway?

Somewhere in his forties at this point.

Couldn't find it, so here's the make-up:

Chancellor of the Reikland - Internal Diplomacy
Chamberlain of the Seal - External Diplomacy
Military Advisor to the Emperor - Martial
Chancellor of the Imperial Treasury - Stewardship (Empire)
Chamberlain of the Imperial House - Stewardship (Province)
Spiritual Leader - Piety
Counselor of Matters Magical - Magic
Supreme Law Lord - Law

How long has it been since Teclis left the Empire? Did he leave an Elf-phone for anyone to call him on? How long will it take for him to hear about Karak Vlag?

He said 'be right back' in 2326 to go to his father's funeral, but while he was there he got ambushed with the position of High Loremaster of the Whtie Tower and couldn't return.

@BoneyM does Mathilde still wear a back scabbard?

Sort of, she wears one for her staff.

@BoneyM If leave (as it seems extremely likely at this point) will Mathilde´s debt with Borek be declared null and void automatically, or we will have to do any extra steps do do so?

It'll probably be made clear during the fallout of all this.

Does internal here mean "within Reikland", "within the Empire", or both?

Within the Empire. Within Reikland would be the responsibility of the Chamberlain of the Imperial House.

'High level politician' is underselling it a bit. He's directly under the Emperor, part of the same council as the Reiksmarshal, the Supreme Patriarch, and the Grand Theogonist.

External diplo. The Council of State is eight people: Faith, Magic, Law, internal diplomacy, external diplomacy, military, stewardship, personal holdings. Intrigue doesn't officially exist.

@BoneyM Did a bit of digging and found those. So the new list supersedes them?

Does anyone know we owe him money aside from us and Borek?

Cause, uh, we did start this quest off with embezzlement.

Counselor of Matters Magical - Magic

Is this also the current Supreme Patriarch, or are those different people?
