I'm just now getting caught up from last night's update. Did anyone ask if the Dwarfs have a Morse-code equivalent? Mathilde could knock a message thru to the other side to have them douse the flames. That might eliminate the risks of further rescue .
About a half-dozen times or more. :)
yes they do, but it's a mining guild secret, and these are metalworkers.
Edit- ninjaed

[x] Use your spare Power Stone to save any Dwarves left in the ship

This is worth the expense, we've probably already reeled in the favor needed for replacement.

The 'bandits' are going to have shortly an entire Grey College after them - once Mathilde explains that somebody almost killed a good portion of Thorgrim's civilian crafters the Empire is going to be very, very angry that Marienburg has even dared acting shady enough to be suspected. So, maximum effort to catch and run down every intrigant connected to the plot.

Yes it has been asked about a dozen times, it is a miner clan/guild only skill and the dwarfs on the ship are of the metalcrafting guild and hence don't know it.

Thanks. I figured someone had ask over the last 10 hours but it's gonna take me a bit to get thru these 30 pages of discussion.

the stone makes it possible, not safe or easy.
It's possible without the stone, it just adds yet another instant-death risk factor.
It's a bit unfair to call it common sense. It might be from your point of view(And, admittedly, probably is) but that doesn't make the other options less valid.
Well, I would argue it is less valid in a good sense way. It's perfectly valid as a vote though. Mathy is a bit of a Gambler.

[X] Scour the river banks for anything the bandits left behind

Find that bloody mine! The bandits are looking more and more like a red herring. I see you changed the previous chapter to make the ship be bigger. That makes the evidence in the potential explosive much more important. Who built the bomb probably funded the bandits.

well luckily, common sense seems to have prevailed, and the search the shore option has a very commanding lead.

What is common sense has always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different common sense! Those who stand at the majority determine what's common and what's rare! This very place is neutral ground! Common sense will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this vote becomes common sense!"

Is that a quote from somewhere or you're own? Because it's very good.

I was initially going to vote for either tracking or scouting since any inanimate traces on the riverbanks are unlikely to be gone when dawn arrives, but the arguments pointing out that Mathilde just chain-cast 300 FC spells and maybe shouldn't be risking being put in a situation where she strains herself further right now convinced me otherwise. This still makes use of our unique capabilities in terms of Windsight, and should leave us close enough to the Okral/Belegar that if trouble shows up we can hear the guns and hurry back to help.

Common sense isn't very common at all. Mostly because it's very rare to find something that actually counts as "common".

For the heating the water option, we do have at least one bright mage on payroll who might be able to to that. Also I think the metal mages can heat metal, they could theoretically help?

It was a Doflamingo quote from back when he was an awesome and complex bad guy.

out of all the bad guys, he was the most done dirty by the new world arc.

Let it be written just for the record that I disagree with this statement (that he was done dirty, I mean), but I do not think this is the place to debate the writing of One Piece so I'll leave it at that.
