@BoneyM: Will we hear in broad terms what the results of the anti-skaven raids were if we do not spend social actions on them? If so, approximately when -- e.g. will it be slipped in during the gossip stuff this turn, or is it going to come our way over the next while, or is that information unknown to us?
Do familiars share our Arcane marks? Or is Wolf completely unaffected.
I did a post a while back suggesting a research sequence to to use Ulgu tongs to perform Azyr weather effects using mist as an intermediate. One of the first steps was to develop spells to physically manipulate mist and fog. In the Mantle of Mist arcane mark we now have a trait that moves physical mist. @BoneyM would that let us try to invent such spells?
Clearly this means we need to prirotitirize Queekish so we can make them share!The only people that know the actual results of the anti-Skaven raids are the Skaven, and they're not sharing.
Mastery - Cloud of Confusion: You can cast the spell as a billowing cloud of bewildering gas, which pours from you for several minutes, constantly effecting everyone nearby.
- Mathilde can cast both the normal spell and the Mastered version. Both are indiscriminate, but the normal version applies to anyone within that radius at the time of casting, whereas the Mastered version continues outputting the gas over minutes to effect everyone touched by it.
@BoneyM
This seems similar to a spell concept I ran by you recently-ish. Were you deliberately using it for inspiration or is this convergent evolution?
Thank you.The only people that know the actual results of the anti-Skaven raids are the Skaven, and they're not sharing.
So basically, to humans magic is chemicals, while to Dwarves it's heavy metals?Anything that doesn't bypass the Dawi DR is ignored, but if it's consumed the what might otherwise be an okay amount of magic bypasses the majority of the DR and starts chipping away at their HP aka initiates the stonification process*. Instead of filtering out of their system, Magic turns Dwarves to Stone.
Ah, sorry. I didn't mean can it lead to tongs spells? Obviously we can't know that. I meant, if we wanted to invent a spell to sculpt mist or one to draw fog into a bottle, does our Mantle of Mist count as an enabling trait?The only people that know the actual results of the anti-Skaven raids are the Skaven, and they're not sharing.
Usually not, but it's not unknown to happen.
Mathilde hasn't even begun research into the topic of using one Wind to manipulate another. It's a little premature to start brainstorming individual spells.
Would casting the mist protect us from gas weapons as I imagine it would push whatever other vapours away.Not directly, but I can't rule out the possibility that you planted the seed.
