Probably just part of the Brewer's Guild. After all, there isn't a Surgeon's Guild in the Karaz Ankor, but rather a set of dwarfs in the Leatherworker's Guild who've learned to work with more than just dead skin.
Honestly, the Surgeon's Guild thing surprises me, because surgery as a profession would be pretty long-standing. If nothing else, dwarves getting injuries that need stitches is probably pretty common given how much time they spend working with hard cutting tools. Granted, they also tend to wear armored protective clothing, but still.

There's no ancestor god of medicine, which means any dwarf who practices medicine is not following the example passed down from their ancestors. Hard to make a clan or guild out of something the ancestors didn't do.

Priestesses of Valaya probably come the closest, but that's more of a "home and hearth" thing than "surgery and medicine" thing.

Talkin' mad shit for a species that invented the term 'barber-surgeon'.

Medicine is a field with massive and unpredictable demand hikes. You need a lot of capacity and you need something for those people to do when that capacity isn't needed. For humans, that's haircuts. For Dwarves, that's leatherworking.
I'd imagine that renaissance man conditions are in play too. There's way less surgical knowledge in the early modern period than in the present day, so it's fully possible to learn everything there is to know about surgery and know how to cut people's hair. Plus the precision bladework is cross-compatible. Barber-surgeon is a sensible profession.

The Elven soul has high elasticity; they can be exposed to large amounts of magical influence and return to their original state unharmed. The human soul has high plasticity; they can be exposed to large amounts of magical influence and be bent into a shape able to withstand that and even take advantage of it in the future. The Dwarven soul, in comparison, has high rigidity; being exposed to large amounts of magical influence does nothing to them, up until it reaches the point where it does, at which point they do not bend or deform, they break.

And the Halfling soul just says "no thank you, not interested" and magic replies "understandable, have a nice day".

No disrespect intented, I will cop to being cheeky at most.

And Boney was being ironic was totalty of the explanation so I am not sure what more is needed?
Posting dictionary definitions at someone is considered rude, in much the same way that using the 'citation needed' emoji is. Better to avoid them unless rudeness is the intent. In this case, simply saying Boney was being ironic suffices.

Having her bottom half stolen would tend to do that, yes.
About being bound by a human, in that case.
But I like to imagine that in the hypothetical Nat100 universe, she'd be quite chipper, since it cut her off from Dhar and so fixed a big part of her underlying issues.
Mind, that's by Drycha standards, she's still super grumpy, but Mathilde has an extremely high "grumpy old people" resistance. Kragg and all. She's also got a tremendous "grumpy old people" charm, so I'm sure Drycha will come around. Having a cool big tree around will help. Before too long she'll be doing reforesting around K8Ps or something, and settle in as just another member of Mathilde's Forcibly Adopted Mob, Irritated Lovingly by Younglings.

OR the other way around, whoever knows a healing spell or two gets to be the doctor.
Nah that stuff would be their equivalent of home medicine the band aid you put on your cuts and bruises or the over-the-counter drugs for common illness you keep at home, but for real dangerous stuff like magical sickness or warp born plagues or injuries that need heavy duty magic to heal like regrowing a limp you go to an actual doctor

Well here's a diffchecker, i'll write up the changes more succinctly in a bit but i literally just got out of bed :p

Note/Disclaimer at 920 eastern: My 'pause for breakfast and shower' turned into 'pause while boney goes through any suggestions for more books to add' :V So the below is incomplete even for the 'original' changes. Probably around lunch time i'll check back and if it looks like boney's about done adding new things i'll go about finishing this :p

Here's the diffchecker for whats been added since the original drop: Diffchecker - Compare text online to find the difference between two text files

Edit 8/31: After Thousands of Years i have escaped the mixture of chores, millennia, and everything else thats distracted me...and by now i think its safe to take the current org sheet as the final version of the eonir gains :V

So here's the final "before and after" diffchecker for the Eonir library gains (+newly written books about the We)

Ok. I think thats everything done. I need to get lunch and get ready to go to a friends wedding, so please tell me if anything is missing/typoed, but i wont be able to fix it until tomorrow :p
As a headsup, i have finally had the time to update my previous post...also took the time to pretty it up, using tables and giving splits on how much eonir vs asur we got, as well as changes for each category. And of course the 'final' diff checker:

Edit: @mathymancer noticed that somehow i had a slightly out of date version of the org sheet, so here's the *actual* fixed finalized diffchecker :V And i'll go in to my tables and add the missing Arthropod and serpent books that were missing as a result in a moment
