Ideas for a better naming scheme than rare/very rare/extremely rare would be appreciated.

Could go with Magister, Lord Magister, and Patriarch, representing that they're the expected library levels for a wizard of that rank with an interest in the subject to be able to get, although that might be a bit prescriptive.

Otherwise, perhaps Rare, Antiquarian, Esoteric?

Facilitating transfer of mundane knowledge such as mathematics (copies of books e.g.) from dwarven records to Mage Colleges would cost how much per subject? @BoneyM

On the one hand, I love Belegar and Mathilde's friendship and don't want it to turn romantic, not really.

On the other hand, I want to marry Belegar. And short of gaining the ability to jump into the story and Belegar being bisexual, I don't see it happening.
... Do we actually have any confirmation that Belegar is into women? Yes, we've seen single dwarven women propose to him, but given how traditional dwarfs are that could just be because that's how things are done. Dwarf kings marry dwarf ladies.

Have I missed a scene somewhere? Wouldn't be the first time, this thread is long.

Also it took longer than I expected it to, but I now count BelegarXMathilde as the greatest rival ship. Let's hope for you guys that it doesnn't end up like our last Lord crush, hmm? Actually, if the worst case scenario happens, can I count on you guys for necromancy votes? We're a tiny minority, so every bit of help counts.

Anything not here, ask.
Just for the record, since I have a feeling my rivals wouldn't think to ask, how much would a date with Belegar cost?

And not just a hang-out-with-friends date, a proper date-date.

[X] The Silver Tower
[X] This is Dawongr Weber's money. The funds will largely go projects within the Karaz Ankor - your tower for one, but also investing in the Undumgi or Ulrikadrin, or purchasing goods made by Dwarven artisans or sold in the markets of Barak Varr.

[X] Scout the rest of the Eight Peaks, to find out what other horrors are waiting out there.
[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.
[X] Join Karak Azul as they raid and scout in force the other portions of the Karak.

Canon suggests that Dwarves lack sex drives and procreate out of duty rather than desire.

Individual relationships are outside of the Dwarf Favour system.

Also, what would an 100 Favor weapon be like, @BoneyM ?

Beyond the possibilities of Runecraft, sadly.

Or have an expert collaborate on an enchantment project with her?
Would need to be arranged personally with the expert, but your rep would get you an introduction and their ear.
This is new and very interesting. We've been talking about consulting on the Snake Juice and all of a sudden we can do it without spending Rep. That's pretty huge.

Purchasing books for her library?
Default and extensive from rep alone, 1 point for rare or very rare, 2 for extremely rare.
Pretty nice. Dwarf books are very comprehensive on history, so if we share this with the College we could likely score some favor. Same for a number of other subjects.

Mathilde's book exchange is looking good.

Library purchases will be possible when normal turns resume, and will cost zero actions. 50gc per level, rare and above require favour expenditure. Ideas for a better naming scheme than rare/very rare/extremely rare would be appreciated.
I'd prefer something that's obvious from looking at it so I don't need to check the reference table every time I want to see how good our library is. The Apprentice/Journeyman/Magister/Lord Magister scheme is a good idea for this. Or I guess you can use words like comprehensive, encyclopedic, far-reaching, and extensive and just stick a +X at the end to remind us all.

[X] This is tomorrow's problem. Let the money sit in the King's Armoury for now. Once you've decided what your future will be, then you can decide what to do with the money.
[X] Karag Nar penthouse
[X] There's a growing concentration of royalty here. Get to know King Kazador, and this 'Sky-Thane' Prince Gotri.
[X] Convince Esbern and Seija to stay long enough to deal with the spiders in the Chiselwards.
[X] Write a series of papers on the magical phenomena you witnessed. Or better yet, get your Journeymanlings to do the actual writing.
[X] King Belegar is allowing you to use the King's Armoury. Recover your extant study materials from Stirland and tuck them away safely in there.
[X] You're going to have a rough time explaining your windfall to the Bursars. Better to get that over with.
[X] You've been out of touch for a while. Head to Barak Varr and then Altdorf, and catch up with what's been happening in the Empire.

I may be over reading this, and if so I apologise. If Mathilde befriends an individual dwarf could she get something like training or a weapon commissioned without spending a favour.

For example, if he stays here and she continues to work closely with Ulthar, would he teach her ranging without it also costing generic dwarf favour.

Hm, just to confirm, so we wouldn't be able to hire dawi experts as instructors for Grey College, the way it was possible for the Stirland Watch?

Instructors are intended to teach a group that is to perform a given task to do that task better. If they get the idea that they're actually teaching instructors to share that instruction with non-authorized others, that will peeve them. Dwarves don't approve of their knowledge spreading anywhere they didn't explicitly intend it to, so they'd be deeply suspicious of the Colleges in general.

Yep, the same way she got instruction from Markus and Gustav.

So, that Dwarven History Library would catch Mathildes eye, but unfortunately KaK is off limits.

How much is Max needing to spend on his instruction? I imagine 'Smith' is common enough, or has he managed to swing Expert-level instruction for three-four points?

Yep, the same way she got instruction from Markus and Gustav.
I'd guess in the old n/10 Friend system, Ulthar would already be second only to Belegar?

Non-Mathildes aren't totally bound to the system, but you could think of it as him getting a discount because he's spending his points with someone who directly benefited from how he got them, the same way Mathilde doesn't have to spend dwarf favours for a K8P tower.

Yeah, you've worked together a bunch and as a Ranger he appreciated your tactics more than most Dwarves.

Fair enough.
Though, it needs to be said, that's not how knowledge actually works.
Someone teaches me to make an axe, he also taught me some underlying blacksmith principles on how to make a sword or a mace, whether he intended it or not, and even if he would have strongly prefered it for me not to make swords.

@BoneyM With Thorek here to critique Kragg's work, isn't this even more of an opportunity to get absolute max quality gear?

Also I'm wondering where Weber sees the future diplomatic relationships and internal tensions of this permanently mixed race dwarven Karak going. Especially given its key point on the trade routes. And wondering if the Grey College would be looking to have a permanent branch office here. Particularly to keep untrained future magically talented human offspring from souring relations with the dwarves
