I spend an hour or something like that dissecting almost every word of the update.
Huh. Counting the time, I spent one and a half hours on the post.

Question, do you guys read the mega posts/think they're informative/worthwhile? I question if I need to spend all that effort sometimes. I think Boney likes the posts at least?

Our priority is to prevent Alric from getting a big win and using it to implicate Heidi. Cutting the route to the spa is the best way to do that. Sucks for the hunting lodge, but that's just how things go sometimes.

I always read them, personally. Reading other people react to things can help me get things that go over my head. Like I didn't realize the bit about the Tunnel Guards was a height-joke, that all the shortest inhabitants of the city just left for the wall.

And I appreciate the research, I wasn't going to know what regiment the Councilor was from, or how his name might be a reference to a fan supplement.

I think it's great having someone who's so passionate about it willing to engage with both the quest and the source material on such a deep level.

Edit: Almost forgot to vote

If he's really of slaanesh (and the evidence is pretty good for that) then he will want that ritual to be perfect. He will not allow himself to take a substitute target. So guarding the approach towards alric is my choice.

Also @Codex I do like your posts, though they can be rather long sometimes. Their very informative and interesting. (naked thaal worshippers was not what I was expecting but I probably should have)

I enjoy reading it. While analysis posts like that are always interesting, I especially enjoy the lore you bring up since that isn't something I'd normally seek out myself.

By the time we respond to a report that reached the Hunter Lord, Alberich could be gone. The limit on our speed isn't just Mathilde's response time: it's the Longshanks communication speed plus Mathilde's response time. If Alberich is fast, that could be too long.

This seems like a good way to cut him off.

Actually, Regimand will be trying to stop him from going there:
Regimand will be with Mathilde if 'Longshanks' or 'Hunter Lord' is chosen, and covering the opposite possibility if 'Tunnel Brigade'/'Horned Hunters' or 'Bad Dankerode'/'Hunting Cabin' is chosen.

I used to read everything in the thread, now I read updates and a page or two here and there. I enjoy long posts when they are on these pages but don't look for them specifically.

Perfectly understandable. When I'm binging quests or reading quests that I'm not super invested in (aka anything that's not DL) I only read or skim the pages around the updates.

It depends. Sometimes I'm not in the mood. Sometimes I first check how many ratings it got as a estimate of whether it's worth the time. And of course, who makes the post.

Yours, I appreciate. It's a bit like reading the commentary on a literary work, to help illuminate some non-obvious details or literary/historical references that aren't obvious without research. It's quite nice.

Hmmm, question for all the lore masters? Is there a magic we could put into a enchantment (maybe even a windherding one) that would allow tactical communications? Like not over the whole province but over a city (like here) so that we could talk to our guys and coordinate.

Not as effective as if we guess exactly where he'll go, but should be good enough unless he slips past basically everyone.

I do, though i certainly to not remember all of it there are some bits that stick with me almost every time, things I would otherwise have missed entirely but which add to the setting and the characters.

Thank you for all your work on this, it helps to make an already great thread that much better. :)

Only things that come to my mind immediately without extensive research is the Telepathy Mutation, the Slaan's Telepathic contact, and Karitamen's (Ancient Tomb King caster lord) use of Necromancy and general magical ability to contact people telepathically. So, no. Not out of hand.
