*wakes up* :O
NC and SD are getting lots of votes
Was my guess of the Capitalist Swarm correct!?

You can also have Credut Unions acting as the banks for Co-op Federations.

Credit Unions are great. I love the one I'm in.

Credit unions are consumer owned rather than worker owned. They might be considered coops but they are not socialist. And its yet another example of supposedly equal coops requiring capitalist business practices to actually be successful.

[X][IDEALS] Socialist
[X][IDEALS] Communist

[X][CRUSH] None.

[X][POWER] You are a centralized federal state along the lines of the later United States.

[X][TEXT] The Constitution serves as a broad guide for the structure of this document, and many legal concepts integral to it carry through, but it is rewritten from the ground up to serve its new situation rather than simply amending it until it fits.

[X][REVIEW] The new Constitution should be put to review and possible revision every thirty years.

Consumer coops, including credit unions, are perfectly compatible with socialist philosophies, though Hybrid coops are preferable

at this point we're accepting that our socialist dreams are dead, and trying to figure out ways to get co-ops off the ground in a hostile scenario.
I mean, i'll support them. I wasn't ideologically opposed to them, just the massive support and trying to kill private enterprise either through banning or making them unable to compete.

I'm not supportive of eradicating private enterprise, I just want to even the field for democratic workplaces, which means we have to support them to begin with to balance things, we ease up on support when they are established, and we let the market decide if private enterprise can compete at that point.

Which SD does, in select industries, without heavily subsidizing them. But unlike in Real life there is no potential cock block from massive corporations (since their nonexistent)
Siestas. Afternoon naps.
I know siestas are naps, but you just stated it without context. :p

I really hope so. also what "select industries?" are we talking like grocery stores, or are we talking legit Firms?

What are you talking about? *runs a quick tally* Socialism is only two behind SocDem. This is still really fricking close.

I'm not hostile to them myself, I just don't want to make our economy uncompetitive with other nations by giving coops large subsidies. Reducing regulatory barriers to forming coops is okay with me, I just dont want to waste money on something that will reduce economic growth in the long term. The text that Poptart gave us explicitly states that the Soc Dem option gives a small subsidy to coops, just not the massive unfair advantage that the socialist option would give.

Sorry, cuts into the profit margin too much to have workers lollygagging about. Gotta maintain all that financial growth, don't ya know.

I would prefer getting home early over a midday nap and I think that's true of most Americans.

I mean, i think a few Capitalists are NOT voting SD so... I would considering them Compromising Capitalists rather than Staunch.
I didn't mean right now, but I meant later on for issues. You think they are gonna abstain every time if it's not something they truely want? Or are they most likely to vote in whatever way the communist block isn't?
