Mass tagging is not against the rules, but is considered borderline (possibly rude) unless there's a good reason. So if you'd like to tag, feel free.

Consider the following:
Splitting the difference is currently forming as an alternative vote that you can add into incremental voting without sacrificing your current ideal option. It gives you some AP and acts as a more acceptable compromise option.

[] Split the difference. New York has the means to better care for some of the more fragile / maintenance-intensive items, but you'd like to hang onto the rest (Gain 1 AP, 2 Legitimacy)

[X] Agreed. Sell the artifacts from the treaty directly to FCNY, along with the attendant Legitimacy boost. Gain +2 free AP for this upcoming turn.

Oh, wow, I'm flattered! Thanks for the praise, but no, I'm just an interested med student heavily cribbing from Poptart! ^_^

The good stuff comes later, btw :p

Well, medicine was my second guess, considering that profession also requires snappy and relevant reports, but beginning able to write short, organised and useful notes is an incredibly underrated and valuable skill, as someone who is notoriously bad at it.

Is it possible to learn this power?

Stop: THE GM TOLD YOU TO STOP
the gm told you to stop
I think you should ask @PoptartProdigy before making that decision
This is slightly delayed due to RL, but Ugolino, you need to take it back down several notches. This argument got heated more than once, and despite the GM saying to knock it off, people persisted or flared back up again. So you're taking a week off. You're passionate about this, but you've hit the point of your own vehemence actively turning people off agreeing with you.

there's a banner
I'm not going to pretend moderation in off the cuff throw away OOC comments regarding my own beliefs to make people happy. I generally tend to be honest about what I believe. It's easier that way.
Its not fine because it's simply her opinion. It's fine because the United States of America has literally done each and every one of those things. It's fine because it's an accurate description.
AKuz and her commie friends can go with victoria.
There's a pointed banner about bringing in RL politics here. Tossing around inflammatory rhetoric about the US in defiance of the Thread Banner with a fig leaf of 'It's just my opinion' or 'it's fine because it's true' does not pass. Nor does 'lol commies!'. If Shard of victory wasn't already permanently threadbanned, he'd be getting it right now. AKuz, you realized your own anger was driving and apologized, which is why you're not taking a break for a while too, but don't repeat.

A reminder to everyone: The GM has us on speed dial, and we're aware this thread has needed attention far more often than Poptart would like. Everyone play nice.

[ ] Adopt the metric system wholesale. -1 Legitimacy for not sticking to US Imperial.
I reckon with America gone, Liberia, Myanmar, and the UK have possibly abandoned Imperial anyway.
IRL, both Myanmar and Liberia have officially/effectively gone metric. The UK uses Imperial only in traditional bits, like height of people, not in business. Only the US's inertia and economic might keep Imperial going in the US at all. In the aftermath of the Collapse, there's no reason not to just switch over, since literally the entire rest of the world has. The BRO might set the example, as the US Military functionally runs on metric for both accuracy and ease of interoperability with allies.

I'm quite happy with my current vote, thank you.

UK uses imperial for height and some road signs. Also mph and kmph on the speedometer. Mainly because Parliament is weird about changing the signs.

Y'know looking back at everything that had happened before hand we should have anticipated that Blackwell was Bluffing. Even with the rolls being the way they are and the points system that Poptartprodigy set up for the combat system. It should have caused some of us to be more wary and catch on sooner that we were being tricked and lured into a fight on Blackwells terms.
I agree... I forgot entirely that Blackwell might be bluffing as well and focused entirely on us being too weak.

It was stupid of me not to do a second order analysis and think hey, I'm saying Blackwell is fucked by us invading, why is he acting like he isn't.

Side note, but maybe we should start looking into "joint custody" options as their own thing for artifacts in future. It'd be a useful bit of symbolism if you want a "merged" government at some point between, say, the Commonwealth and NYC...
I support this.

In lieu of that

I'm going to shift to Split the difference as I wasn't aware that was a thing.

We need the AP more than we need the legitimacy boost and I suspect that once we can force a territorial reconnection with the Free City of New York, the legitimacy hit won't matter as much. We have far too much to do, in the wake of our campaign to shut out the Vicks from Detroit.

[X] Politely decline. You'd rather hold onto the artifacts, either for the symbolic value or for later resale. Gain +5 Legitimacy.

Good faith compromise! Hopefully this doesn't screw up my last vote and just adds to the tally. Usually I edit but, this thread moves at the speed of sound.

Usually, tally only counts your latest post, so if you're re-voting, it's best to add both options.

Sure, I don't mind the compromise winning.
