Maybe red, white and blue background with a gold phoenix?

I could see it. Hang on, I'm getting an image in my head...

A variant on the Star Spangled Banner; 13 red and white stripes to declare our descent from the original colonies. In the blue corner, a golden phoenix (or turkey), surrounded by stars representing the states. A call back to the old, while still declaring something new.

The laurel is a bad look, but removing the inside of the circle and putting a phoenix in it would look pretty good.

I may be biased, but I love our california flag because it is actually somewhat detailed. Also i feel like that one is too similar to the Liberian flag.

Sky-blue mean individualism.
Red means socialism.
Orange means mutualism and cooperation.

So a big part of participating in these quests for me is adding to canon lore through omakes. What constitutes a canon omake in quest?

If your flag design is tied to your specific ideology rather than commonly shared values and beliefs among the citizens, you're doing something wrong.

Here's a couple quickies. The first one riffs on the Chicago city flag (which seems appropriate considering):

This one is a shot at a crow/raven flag. Not wholly happy with it (honestly lighten the blue a little & ditch the stripes and it'd look better, but so long as there's an interest in maintaining the Old Glory look) but w/e:
