I'm pretty sure the mirror universe quest people are bitching about the dice rolls right now, and how the stupid dice meant that their glorious and inevitable victory over the cultural Marxist rebels got ruined.

And they're probably ignoring the mirror GM going, "Actually, due to your consistently fucking it all up, this particular instance had you guaranteed to lose, and this roll was to just determine exactly how badly you got fucked up in this particular instance, which, admittedly due to the dice, was very."

It's only a matter of time until we roll a 1 and the vicks roll a 3 and wreck our shit, RNGesus is not this kind in my experience.
If we stack modifiers to give us a +3 or better advantage, then we still win that exchange.

Enough luck (and good choices) on the front end, and we don't have to worry about the back end.

Like, hypothetically, if we were to wipe out the CMC division and fuck their morale. That would be helpful.
You just wiped out the CMC.
I regret that I can only like this once.

What defeat?

They just won!

A great victory, sadly made at great cost. But they disciplined us and Detroit forever. Nothing to worry about. Don't pay any attention to the lack of returning victorious troops.
Also, there's a new round of recruitment going out because uh... the rest of the Victorian Army will be happily and busily rebuilding the area into a proper Christian society, and they'll be there for... a long time.

It feels anticlimactic after all that, but it's time to roll for weather.

The current weather state is, "Overcast, no rain. The mud has dried."

1: The weather clears and rolls conclude.
2: The weather clears and rolls conclude.
3: The weather remains overcast and rolls continue.
4: The rain resumes, the wind picks up, and rolls continue.
5: Storm of the century. Rolls conclude.
PoptartProdigy threw 1 5-faced dice. Reason: Weather State Total: 1
1 1

All I want is to get to write Victorians dealing with a fucking Midwestern monsoon. It's all I ask for, yet the dice appear to believe that the only rain that shall fall on Victorians is a steel rain. Very well! So be it!

And then, the clouds cleared, and the Commonwealth Army gazed upon the shattered remnants of the Victorian army, the sunlight glinting due to the jagged metal shrapnel.

So what you're saying is that after Devil Burns' soldiers armed with the weapons of the US-that-was obliterate the Christian Marine Corps, the clouds part to let the sun shine through, as if God himself were smiling down upon what we've wrought.

Essentially...

...yes.

Anybody with an interest in this battle who owns spy satellites is going to have one interesting fucking time of it when the clouds part.

So basically what you are saying is that AFTER we captured the 80,000 ton cargo ship full of military supplies, the weather calmed and cleared up so we could loot it safely.
Huh.

So far this fits perfectly in with my plans for my planned ost-war Victoria omake.

In all honesty, what I'm mostly worried about at this point is the remaining Victorians escaping, I mean choosing to retreat instead of having faith God will see them to victory against a greater foe as He repeatedly did for the Israelites in the Old Testament.

Damn. That's the seed of another omake idea right there if anybody wants to write a Victorian chaplain/commissar speech.

Every word you have typed has made me grind my teeth in anger.

I love it.
