So, it says in the update that Zoi has been a patron of this japanese bakery ran by a magical girl for a while.

Does that mean that they have been operating in the area/building their network here for months or is it just that the bakery is THAT good and they felt the need to cross the pacific twice a week for sweets?

Remember how there were multiple entries of muffins in the Mercury computer?

Obviously baked goods (specifically quality baked goods) were highly important in the Silver Millennium. Ergo Zoi needs their fix and this is the only place they've found that is up to snuff.

Maybe Kintoleski told them about it, didn't he walk out of the ocean on the other side of the Pacific a week or two ago?

Well I know a certain somewhere that has the best baked goods on Earth, but Zoi would be mad to try to get any. The Madrigals are scary.

They're also within his area of operations, so all she has to do is set up a competing Dark Bakery and arrange for some kind of baking competition where he gets to be one of the judges. Totally normal episode.

Bluntly, I think we're going to have to just blame the differing art styles and characters being able to look eternally youthful as distinct from "young."

It's anime; age is going to be handwavy.

Well, in myth the fairy realms cross dimensions to get their baked goods fix.

Zoi is probably marking the bakery as "destroy/corrupt this last, in case it ruins the flavor"

But what about the wheat fields and other sources of baking ingredients, and the people that deliver it, and the ones that buy it to keep the bakery in business?
 
That's why he picked a bakery on an island nation distinctly not in his original zone of influence. So he'd have someone else to blame and plot against if it got ruined.
 
Zoisite: Bold of you to assume that I don't visit all the best bakeries in the entire world. There's one in France that is particularly great. Good enough that a fairy is training under the baker there.

Just a quick reminder, Zoicite is a good enough disguise artist to have tricked Tuxedo Mask into thinking that they were Sailor Moon in canon. And here, they were (once upon a time) the head of Serenity's security detail. Serenity learned how to sneak down to Earth from Zoicite.

Glamoured outfits that would make a 14 player jealous. Zoi probably doesn't have just a glamour dresser, but a full on glamour walk-in closet. And in FF, changing your race or gender needs a whole Fantasia potion, can't just glam into being a guy or girl.
