Samui: So how do you feel about flash frozen intruders?
Usagi: That doesn't sound very safe...
Samui: You can fix frostbite can't you? We learned to make ice guns thanks to that shotgun we confiscated. The Diet loves the more professional look of ice gun magic apparently.
Well, in a turn or two, we'll probably be interacting with the TSAB, who are experts in nonlethal magic...

A very nice breather of an update.
Also,
Usagi says. "Once we beat her, and save the other members of the Shittenou, then take down Beryl, there won't be any more history to come and batter it's way into the present."
Nothing to worry about just the future battering its way back to change the present. The dramatic irony is palpable.

Usagi chuckles. "Nah, I have the answer to that. And we've been working on the front for a good while now. Haruka and Michiru said that they think that they might have a lead on where Cendrellion is." Usagi says. "Once we beat her, and save the other members of the Shittenou, then take down Beryl, there won't be any more history to come and batter it's way into the present."
Hang on, we haven't fully solved the mystery of Ikuko's past life (which might be Nehellenia, but, if not, that's two things), we haven't resolved the Inuyasha plot, there's a zillion Pretty Cure fairy realms, we're literally about to start waking up Silver Millennium survivors...

This is just obviously false.

Inuyasha rounds to "present" for Silver Millennium stuff.

I mean none of those are the past battering into the present?
Kagome is battering into the past.
The fairy realms are falling in the present day.
And we are choosing to bring up the past with Ikuko and the survivors.

And we are choosing to bring up the past with Ikuko and the survivors.
Nehellenia (non-Ikuko version) will wake up eventually and start her schemes against Elysion and then the rest of the world, and may have already done so.

Sure, maybe we could contrive a way to discover the Asteroid Senshi in the Amazon before she gets to them, but that's still not even a full stop, and assumes that we can do that, and also that they already exist in the current timeline, as opposed to being retroactively inserted into the timeline (via the Silver Crystal) by Usagi Sr for Usagi Jr at some point after the latter awakened her Senshi transformation.

EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure past!Beryl is responsible for destabilizing a bunch of stuff for the fairy realms, which arguably makes current PreCure problems also count as history that is intruding on the present day.

... fine, but the other things don't.

Oh, right, there's also Snow Princess Kaguya from 4.5 billion BC, but we don't know about that yet.
Snow Princess Kaguya is from a movie and side story and the other things from side stories have been both included and excluded. So probably would be best to treat it as a possibility but not something guaranteed to show up.

There was that movie about that alien(?) who fell in love with child Mamoru when he was in the hospital after the accident. I'm not sure how that would be affected by Mamoru-the-child being replaced by Endymion.

Also worth pointing out that Usagi is unaware of the future past threats that are coming for her.
Oh, wait, you mean after Usagi and her friends in particular?

Because I think we're aware that Beryl fucked up the Pretty Cure system back in the Silver Millennium era, setting the stage for a lot of the Pretty Cure messes today?

Everything is a result of prior circumstances, but aside from the precure big bads that were around for the Fall, I don't think they really count. I mean, Beryl fucked up Earth pretty well too, but we don't call these arcade shenanigans "the past coming back to haunt us" even though it's Beryl's fault that video games were only reinvented twenty years ago and they're still confined to those cabinets.

But hey! More new students for the Crystal Millennium. And children of government employees! Your business is going up in the world

Gotta get those sweet sweet government backed funds.

...Are we legally allowed to act as a more dedicated school/daycare? Are we going to need to get childcare certification?

And is being able to commit DoomSlayer-esque ultra violence on any potential threats a plus or a negative in that?

If the cops decide that somewhere without childcare certification is their daycare, who's left to make an issue of the lack of certification?

At the moment there are no legal certification requirements for teaching magic, because magic is not something government officially aknowledges existing, or regulates.
Going forward, i would expect this will change, but once that happens, we may end up getting grandfathered in, or have some influence on what the certification looks like.

Teaching magic isn't the issue.

The issue is are the Senshi going to have to get childcare certification. Venus is already drowning in paperwork!

There's a big difference in running a completely optional class completely unassociated with the educational system and taking care of children for a good chunk of a day.

The former means nobody would care if we were teaching anything from math to backwards-handstand roller-disco, the latter is what gets many beady eyes looking at us to see that we will not hurt or negatively impact the development of any given child.
