Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Tower, honestly, looks like it's going to be a trip to the Emerald Seas Capital.

I...

Oh.

ooooooh

"Past, Present, Future", isn't it?

The tower sounds like Shenhua's tree-city.

Let's go back to LQ's old 'home'. See how things are there.

The Tower looks super interesting.

But touch-range naturally increases the ranking to A.

So, could we do S-rank damage with touch Call to Ending and Joyous Toast, @yrsillar ?
Yes a successful touch use would give you an S rank shot feel this is generally balanced since you need to do a lot of set up to pull it off and the techs involved would be a pretty decent chunk of ling qi's total reserves as ridiculous as they are.

"If you do not use your world bending power for a bit of fun now and then, there isn't much point to it," The veiled spirit said lightly. "Don't tell me you've forgotten that."
I think this is really important to remember. We have our duties, we have our tasks, we have our goals, but at the end of the day we do have the power to bend the world at a whim. Having fun with that power is going to be important for us. Not just mentally but it will help us to not take everything seriously, which is going to be important when dealing with people.

I like the Grinning Moon. It's not just about stealth and trickery, it can also be about having fun with others, or at the expense of others. Tricks can be used for malicious purposes, but it can just as easily be used to bring fun and enjoyment in a world that can be overbearing and crushing.

the Grinning Moon said seriously, before shooting a sly look at Dreaming and adding in a much more irreverent voice. "Of course, there really should only be two of us."

"Are you of all spirits, decrying a follower for a bit of indecision," the Dreaming Moon asked blandly.

"...Sisters," Xin sighed. "Can we not maintain at least a little bit of decorum."

"Wrong grouping for that!" The Grinning Moon laughed.
Sooo I love basically all of the this, the appearance of the local avatars of the Moons, but this bit in particular is seriously great because of course the Grinning Moon would be the one to take every opportunity to pretend to be a stickler for the rules.

(While of course, as indicated by the Dreaming Moon's remark, she's probably the one that's most delighted by Ling Qi choosing three Moons instead of the traditional two.)

Grinning Moon was the first encountered, the giver of the basis of our cultivation, the first chosen as patron and the great spirit of our chosen profession as a thief and spy. Ling Qi is more than the Grinning Moon but she's the one who found us and will help us in our goals in the provinces. Let's go back to the city and play the rest of this quest in the Grinning Moon's dominion.

Grinning, Dreaming and Hidden best moons. :D

Leaning towards Tonghou atm. Feels appropriate to go to LQ's past first to help build her future. And Grinning was just awesome in this update,

Joyous Toast: C
Duration: Immediate
Usable only while Illustrious Phantasmal Festival is active. The guests of the festival raise their voices and cups and stamp their feet in joy, roaring encouragement for the user and their allies and jeering at their foes. The next music, dance or art based technique used by those affected is treated as if it is one rank higher for determining effects.

leaning to the tower, like the one in Pisa

This update was really, really enjoyable for me.

We got some major progress done on cultivation, we got to explore some of the sect landscape and find amazing sites of nature, and we are going to begin forging our own path of EPC.

Hanyi and Zhengui were both amazing, and Sixiang got called out for showing us a fraction of what is behind the curtain.

Ling Qi swirled and danced among the spirits of her revel, and now she can spend some time with aspects of her patrons.

Also, PLR 5 looks to be fantastic. Just saying. A chance to completely negate an attack based upon an opponent's perception? And the revel lowers a person's perception? Combine that with FVM and Zhengui's ashcloud, our opponent's perception will already be significantly lower than what it would normally be. Good luck finding us in the revelry when it is shrouded by mist and ash.

Let the revel begin!

[] A little village in the hills, new and yet old, built upon layers of bones, but peaceful and full of laughter under the light of a waning moon.
I really like the theme of beginnings and endings that is hinted at here. Fits us, I think.

By the way, @yrsillar, shouldn't we receive +1 composure as well?
