Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Ahahahhaha Su Ling has a fireman poster of her boyfriend painted on her bedroom.

Li Suyin been going to parties? And hiding it?

Truly our friends have grown complacent without us to remind them they cannot have secrets from us!

The horse headed 'driver' meanwhile, leapt gracefully down from the bench to stand behind Li Suyin as they began to walk, every inch the obedient porter.

Except for being a more than two meter tall polished skeleton with spider silk muscle and sinew. Details.

Best to start inuring people to it now. She certainly wasn't going to stop having her friend over.
It'll be a great test of who is new here, who gets scared by Suyin's creations and who has seen our combination of spooky mist and constructs already.

Hunh. And here I thought Six meant a flex of artistic skill that it had not been removed yet.

…between Sixang handling the voice and Qiyi handling the movements…
I wonder at the idea of a cultivating Ling Qi getting to move and check up on things anyway.
Or maybe shenanigans. With the two acting as Ling Qi only for the real deal to wake up right in the middle of it…

Li Suyin's carriage was bone white, with deep matte black paneling, carved to seem as if it were made from the bones of a large beast, including a many toothed squared off jaw serving to hold the drivers bench. Which, naturally was occupied by one of her skeleton automatons. This one had a horse's skull.

The horses were entirely carved wood, porcelain and silver, emitting a low but fragrant smoke from the joints and crevices of their mechanical forms.

peak aesthetic, i love Li Suyin

Of course, Lightning God's Ladder doesn't necessarily seem Biyu either... though it should be noted that Ling Biyu is a very little kid.

You don't know who will get into Heavy Metal, or Punk, or Counterculture or whatever and fall into "It's not just a phase!" until they're preteens/teens.

We got all those painting based Arts, and a high level Brush. Biyu just needs a cultivation Art of some sort, or the Moon to like her. Otherwise, with the BaiCai library, our small suite of non-copyrighted stuff, and Painting Arts we got off a Hui Corpse Immortal, Ling Biyu is way more set than the servant cultivators or Ling Qi at quest start.

The whole letting her paint is very much intentional, like letting a kid play around on a piano, and then starting lessons when they have shown interest.

I don't see why we wouldn't send her to the Argent Sect when it comes time. Those argent arts are no joke as far as properly setting your foundations.

Admittedly, we probably want to give her at least a bit of a head start, but....

The question of what qualifies as a bit can vary. High-level scions go in at High-Red or Low-Yellow, with Meizhen having obviously been top of the heap at Mid-Gold.

All the Argent Cultivation Arts are designed to be great secondary Arts as well, that's why all the noble kids learned that and their family stuff. No reason not to get her the best leg up we can.

There really does have to be SOME sort of trick to getting more of a family to be liked by the moon or sun than "random" chance would involve, because... that's just a thing clans have done in the past and to some degree still do, even though it's somewhat out of fashion.

I think we should start off aiming to get her to mid red and/or gold and work from there. If she goes higher then that's great! if she's not doing that well then we can try to work out the kinks of the lesson plan before she goes to the sect.
