I rather re-link a bit more with Suyin, and her alone.
Sparing seem a poor idea considering the realm difference, on top of Suyin generally lackluster physical conditioning. Really, it would feel like bullying.
Introducing Suyin to CRX seem a poor move. While she made some progress, Suyin is still a rather meek thing, asking her to meet the Ducal Heir for no reason other than socializing is a bit much.
And if it's the optic of getting Suyin in CRX's faction (for protection and founding, maybe ?) we should wait for once she made some advances in her project ?
If anything i'd rather try to introduce Xiulan to CRX.

A couple of reasons. CRX has stated she wants to get better at face punching, Ling Qi retains things better if she's in physical danger, and I love the idea of being the rambunctious one now that Gan is gone.
Wouldn't mind tea, but would like to leave needlework alone; let Best Snek have some one on one time with her other best friend.

I may be wrong but those options are about Renxiang, not Suyin.
regarding the branch family member that Meizhen wants us to meet, it occurs to me that there's a few possibilities about what Meizhen has in mind.
1. Basically warning said branch family member not to mess with us, though somewhat more subtly than Ling Qi is likely to pick up on.
2. An attempt to give us more connections to the Bai- we're currently only friends with Meihzen, while us being friends with more of the clan would insulate us somewhat from intra-clan politics (since at the most extreme, if we're friends with all the factions, then none would want to screw with us.
3. it's not Ling Qi the cousin is a possible suitor for, but Meizhen- considering that the Bai Clan is large enough to be closer to an ethnicity than a clan as such...

I... don't think that this the case.
The last person outside of Ling Qi to be referred to was Cai Renxiang. It would be strange to denote the "other girl" as Li Suyin when another person has been referenced in the sequence of thoughts after Li Suyin. Also, we've left Li Suyin and are heading to Cai Rexiang's appointment.

...it isn't. That's just a failure of reading comprehension. The only CRX option is going to do needlework with her and Suyin, the tea is just inspired by her social education of LQ.

I mean... saying that Suyin is "the other girl" makes no sense grammatically when another individual has been referenced in the same stream of thought after Li Suyin. If the sentence prior wasn't talking about going to Cai Rexiang for an appointment I would agree with you, but that's not the case.

When or if she does grow to that level we'll have this conversation again. Right now? There are so many better options both immediate and potential.

Similarly with needlework being the Cai Clan thing it seems less suited towards establishing a closer rapport with CRX herself.

Even if it also seems like the thing Ling Qi is the least likely to actually get and will be largely baffled by.
It helps that I love when CRX and Ling Qi's interactions emphasize their different perspectives on things.
